My walk among the dunes on the beach in the morning was colorful...egg shells and colored powder of all sorts turned the beach into a cavalcade of colors. I am glad to see Princess Marian's festivities went so well.

I would have like to participate at the 2nd Annual Compact Crew but my responsibilities require me elsewhere. It does remind me of my time at the academy in Chevelle. Rowing down canals and competing against other squires for a golden cup. Thinking back on it, it does silly but it proved to everyone else, if not at least you, that you could lead or follow. Both aspects important in command.

The Assembly of Peers was nothing short of fascinating. The first bit, anyway. The accounts of what went on in Setarco and Stormwall were nothing short of enthralling.
Perhaps more interesting were the reactions to some of the accounts, which have left me with as much to think about as some of the accounts themselves.
I made a great many notes, though with everything else going on I am not sure when I will have the opportunity to review them further.

Received quite a few Looks after telling the very accurate account of the Pirate King's war at the Assembly of Peers today. I don't know why people hate truth.

Since arriving in Arx I confess I have mostly immersed myself in the archives. I've read more books in the last month than I have in the last year and still the list of things I want to read grows. Although I am certain my noble cousin had other things go in mind when he invited me to the city, it would be remiss to be within a short walk of the greatest store of knowledge in Arvum and not take advantage of it.
Still, it couldn't hurt to get out a little more I suppose.

A lot of new faces as of late, but I am very pleased that I have a new shaman to call friend, as well as an old friend returned. Lady Signe and Lady Khanne are gifted and empathetic people, and their connection with the spirits gives me much hope and joy in being able to call upon their wisdom and guidance to adhere to the true path.

I am told there was discussion of how we remember the fallen at the recent Assembly of Peers.
The Templars and the Knights of Solace are building a place to hold the bones of our honoured dead. A place where we can remember them, where their stories and deeds will be remembered. A place where the greatest amongst us, our heroes, our grandmasters, will have tombs in great halls where pilgrims might consider the price all of us pay to hold onto our way of life.
The Templars, the Knights of Solace, they do not fight alone or separate to the Fealties though. Our disciples mostly find their homes in Grayson, in Valardin, in Thrax, in Redrain and in the Lyceum. So we will build great halls for each of the fealties. And in each we will offer to inter the bones of your knights who died with us facing down the Pirate King at Stormwall, Setarco and at Darkwater Watch. Those who said oaths under Gloria, who were knighted, deserve remembrance and deserve their honouring of that oath to itself be honoured.
We will soon begin the drive to fund this project. It will be built at the home of the Faith, our ancestral birthplace, Sanctum. The Templars and Knights of Solace that guard and tend to it will be drawn from all of the fealties as well. In the interim, as debate over the Hall of Hero continues, know that whatever the outcome we will be here.

Thanks to all of my princess and other friends that helped me yell at the people on the docks and get a slip for her to be built. And to Thrax and Velenosa, too.
Next step: Making sure Thena blesses her within an inch of her life. And a formal christening party!
