Where the Hawk flies (Week 15)
While I would like to say things are slowing down for me, it always seems like there are more duties to be had all the time. We are preparing to head back to the my home, but my mind remains on my wife. She has accomplished so much in a small amount of time and I am very proud of her. I feel like she will make a real difference for Lyceum.

So, this Champions Tournament is going well! So far, so good! Round 1 will be done soon, and Round 2 of the Winner's Bracket and Round 1 of the Losers bracket will start in the next few days. Who will take first place? I'm thinking Joslyn will, but honestly I don't know how good Sparte is in combat. He might prove to be a tough opponent for her. And I have no idea how good Jeffeth has improved since we last fought, he might be the dark horse of this tournament. What does everyone think? I'm right now Joslyn: 1st, Sparte: 2nd, Jeffeth: 3rd.

Well, someone remarked they knew my family and wanted to know if I’d been fathered by the milkman. Urg, that one never gets old.

Kenna brought me a set of books to read upon the customs of marriage and courtship. Now be it said I have no intentions to make a match of any sort yet. Nonetheless, a book is a book, worthy in its own right of appreciation for what information it harbours.
No sooner did I open the covers than vanish away into a personal conversation with a lady I have never met, and she escorted me through the finer points of a matter with sensible eloquence and gracious wit I wish somehow could be purchased in the marketplace. That is to say, not nearly enough people demonstrate the rare conviction of explaining things clearly and engagingly. Evidently I need more extensive connections with her, something to put on the to do list.
If she speaks anywhere near as well as she writes out her thoughts, it should be a conversation to remember.

Statistically speaking, I am only lucky about half of the time, my lady. However. I am looking to improve my personal odds. Also, probably, my medical skills. I sliced my thumb pretty good on some glass I was cutting for my optical observation instrument, and I realized that my stitches are pretty uneven. Shame on me.
