Comments and Log

Sebastian, an adorable gray and white tabby, Jacinthe, Arindais, a dour-looking Scholar, 1 Templar Knight guards arrive, following Sina.

Gaston has joined the lower center seating.

"Songs are a wonderful way to preserve history," Autumn remarks to Spring, with a gesture towards the front of the room. "I've heard all kinds of interesting bits of history from folk-songs, that have probably been forgotten otherwise. And songs capture /feeling/ in a way that a lot of things don't, don't you think?"

Miranda slips in, on time for a change! Yes! She slips in and looks about, deciding on where to sit. As folks arrive, she moves out of their way. She pulls the hood from her head and the gloves off her hands. She puts her gloves into the folds of her cloak and seems to take her time deciding where to seat herself. Finally, she sets herself in the lower seats, joining those already present.

Miranda has joined the lower center seating.

Sina has joined the lower right seating.

Duarte receives a faint smile, before Giulio meanders in the direction of the lower left seating, though he does tilt his head towards Lou and Delilah. Casually, though, he turns his attention to Sorrel, Marius joining him as well.

Dandy, the red fox, 1 Templar Knight guards arrive, following Etienne.

4 Thrax Guards arrives, following Galen.

"She seems to do much better when you're here." Thorley says with a wink towards Violet, the knight holding Tala's other hand as the small family finds their way to the seats to settle in.

Winter has joined the upper center seating.

Spring nods wistful agreement. "They really do. I used to sing. Long time ago, that was, but I have never stopped loving to hear the music."

Shard prowls into the hall with quiet steps and a neutral, if guarded, expression. If anything she looks a little bit tired. She brushes her hood back as she goes, squints at the seating for a moment, and then picks a spot.

"I like it," Lisebet decides, not that her opinion means so much necessarily, but it can't hurt. She moves up close enough to wave to Sorrel, smiling brightly. "I'm so glad I could make it!" She might even be sporting a fabulous new dress! "I love all the songs so far. I'm looking forward to hearing this one."

The Archscholar of Vellichor makes her way into the performance hall, accompanied by her Templar, and her two assistants. She makes her way toward a seat, offering a smile toward Rinel and Duarte as she angles for where they are sitting. She dips her head toward Sorrel along the way, and then quietly seats herself, letting her attendants find inconspicuous places as well.

"That's because she has you wrapped around her fingers," Violet quips as they settle into seats.

Harper makes her way in, looking around curiously. She pauses at the entrance to peer around before making her way over to a seat, bobbing her head in greeting to the others nearby.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Violet before departing.

Shard has joined the upper left seating.

Lumbering into the upper seating the large form of Jeffeth slowly settles himself down, glancing around with a warm yet slightly nervous smile as he makes sure his jacket is just so. This is a fany concert. He's doing his best not to sweat.

"Just like her mother." A smirk at Violet from Thorley as he moves to sit as well.

1 Crimson Blades Sergeant arrives, following Mirk.

Mirk has joined the upper right seating.

Galen makes his way in, a bit perhaps winded as if it took him a little bit of time for him to get here and settled, but when your wife is performing for anyone who wants to hear, and she mentions to you privately that she very much would love for you to be there for one of her performances, then you show up. So Prince Galen settles in, trying to find the bestest of best vantage points to hear and see his wife on stage for the night's event.

Lou lifts her head from her chin, where she'd been resting it, and nods in Duarte's direction, she then turns to speak at her group of tablemates.

Spring waves at Winter, from her seat next to Autumn in the center back of the seats.

Gianna stands on the stage for a few moments longer, then turns and nods to Sorrel. "Well, I'll leave you to it, then." And then she's descending from the stage, a glittering sweep of dusky silk and umbra with shimmering neodymium stars, diamonds, and pearls. Those present at Aoin's Melee might recognize the necklace she wears as one of the prizes; it seems the Nightingale has made a set to match.

Red cloak dusted with snow, Helena makes her way a little breathlessly into the hall, as if perhaps she's been hurrying to make it on time. She slows to a more sedate step when she sees things haven't quite begun. She pushes down her cloak and glances around before making her way to a seat.

We got a Caspian incoming! Since it's indoors he opts for seasilk this time, glittering in black and white silks against the lighting of the hall. He even puffs out his chest and places his hands on his hips, striking a pose so that all may see him in his vainess. And then he's searching for a place to sit his tush.

Amari arrives with the rest of the crowd slowly filing in, pausing a moment to look for familiar faces after she dips her head respectfully to Sorrel in greeting. Like Lisebet, who she soon spies, she's wearing a new seasilk gown in stormy hues with a requisite amount of matching jewelry of silver, pearl and opal. "Lady Lisebet!" She calls, getting out of the road to join her friend.

Domonico enters the hall, frowning as he stops to sweep his gaze around the room, searching the place for someone. Hands on his hips, he is dressed as always in his sculpted leather armour, looking most out of place right now... unless he was going for an invasion of the performance hall... then he'd be perfect.

Walking in, still smiling lightly of leather and dye, Bliss Whisper is a vision in crimson and black, dusted with snow on her shoulders and cape. She lifts the brim of her large cap to look around the performance hall for an appropriate place to sit, chewing on her lap for a moment before walking over to Jeffeth and those sitting near him. "Mind if I join you?" she asks the knight, with a warm smile toward the others.

Helena has joined the upper right seating.

However much there is a Delilah here -- her occupation is briefly spinning a shorthand verse on her notes, the fluid dip and fall of her pen something to capture the ongoing sentiments of creativity. Naturally speaking she may be well and truly busy, overlooking a few matters; Giulio's arrival, perchance, Lou the other. Not until she sends off her erstwhile, gentleman errant are all matters concluded and she can pay heed to those already present. A cheerful wave of the hand for those familiar faces includes just about anyone she makes eye contact with. As one does in Ro... err, Arx.

1 Grayson House Guards, Peaches, a lovely white war filly with a peach saddle, Deliverance, an albino falcon, Stormy, a silvery gray hunting hound, Rascal, a hyper terrier, Rosalie, a lady in waiting arrive, following Reese.

Winter makes her way into the Performance Hall and she takes a moment to look around the hall. Her eyes alight on the folks sitting in the center, and she makes her way there, greeting those gathered with a warm smile and quiet words before joining them.

Desiree walks inside wearing a blue gown. She looks around with a confident smile and finds a seat.

Reese has joined the lower center seating.

There's a bright smile sent up to Bliss, motioning her to join him. "Course not, sit down." Jeffeth pipes brightly.

Galen has joined the lower right seating.

Reese quietly arrives at the gathering and quickly goes to find a seat.

Shard takes advantage of the lack of people in her immediate vicinity to slump comfortably into the spot she's chosen. She doesn't go so far as to put her feet up on the seat in front of her, but she does generally take up considerably more room than she actually needs.

Caspian has joined the upper right seating.

1 Redoubt Buccaneers, Damien Pierce - A Charming Assistant, 1 Redreef Warden, 1 Thrax Guards arrive, following Mikani.

Lisebet has joined the lower left seating.

Thorley has joined the lower left seating.

Mikani has joined the upper right seating.

Amari has joined the lower left seating.

Gianna has joined the lower left seating.

Miranda stands a moment and waves to Domonico.

Domonico continues his searching before spying who he is looking for and makes his way to join Miranda, looking uncomfortable at present.

Caspian sits himself down just in time to have the seat next to him taken by Mikani. He offers a bright smile and a hug to the woman before turning his attention over to Helena and Mirk, including them and Mikani in his question, "Hey everyone, how's it going?"

The performance doesn't quite start on time; people need that extra time to get in and find their friends and get settled and prepare themselves for the performance. Sorrel is content to wait on the stage, her hands folded before her, offering a polite nod to everyone who nods to her. She looks serenely happy, even though she is now without her hot beverage. After giving people a moment, she speaks, raising her voice just so that the fine acoustics of the room carry it to all the ears.

"Hello and welcome to the Ode to Copper tonight," she says brightly, her evergreen eyes alight. "You may find that this song is somewhat different than the ones up until now because Copper is a real and present agent in our lives still. She has been working for the sake of humanity for hundreds of years, perhaps thousands. She's known and befriended many humans in her day, and she's gone out of her way to make them happier and their lives more fulfilling. So this song is to Copper, as well as about her. We will, as always, have questions and answers after the song."

"Lady Amari," Lisebet exclaims with a bright smile. "Do come sit with me. How about over there?" she offers, linking her arm with Amari's and heading towards the lower left seating area. And as she turns to head that way, she catches sight of Violet and Thorley, waving at them. Oh look and there is a Tala too. Most excellent entertainment will certainly follow. And that's apart from Princess Sorrel's expected superb performance.

Violet has joined the lower left seating.

2 Whitehawk Guards arrives, following Sapphira.

Domonico has joined the lower center seating.

And as Sorrel starts talking, Lisebet goes quiet.

Sam, who is a boy and definitely not a princess in disguise, Sabella arrive, following Niklas.

Sorrel's words have Violet smiling. It's a kind of understanding and knowing smile. Head nodding. In her hands she holds something, thumb rubbing over the top of it. Seems to be a melted bit of copper.

Violet gets a melted and deformed simple copper amulet from Crimson Cloth Backpack.

At some point, Prince Luca arrives, maybe close to the beginning or something. Time and he are in a strange relationship lately, really. He brings along with him Lady Apollonia, who is great for drawing attention from him so that he can better safeguard his languid demeanor. Just inside, he finds a piece of wall with a good view of the whole affair, quietly.

Rinel checked dexterity + stealth at difficulty 15, rolling 5 lower.

Bliss has joined the upper center seating.

Niklas has joined the lower center seating.

Rinel can, to those watching, be seen sticking her tongue out at her patron Duarte Amadeo. /Classy/. No wonder she's always in trouble.

Sabella has joined the lower center seating.

The business of the book set aside in a bag leaves Delilah well-positioned to undertake the usual whirlwind of greetings and introductions, albeit in a hushed tone of voice. Much of the time, her sea-bright eyes check those coming and going among the ongoing shreds of activity. Whatever smile lingers has a distant quality, almost ghostly, as she allows the weight of her focus follows Sorrel.

Harper looking around the room curiously, her face splits into a wide grin as she spots Luca and tosses him a friendly wave.

Duarte flaps out his handkerchief and wipes Rinel's tongue. "There. I think I got it. You're welcome."

Sina's attention turns fully to Sorrel as she addresses the audience, her gaze interested and focused as the Princess speaks of Copper. She lifts her eyebrows curiously at the mention that this Copper is alive and around today, and has been for thousands of years. She tilts her head curiously at that, but continues to listen eagerly. Folding her hands in her lap, she sits erect, waiting for Sorrel's beautiful voice to fill the performance hall.

Cadern arrives fashionably late and picks his way towards seating. At least he has whiskey.

Cadern has joined the upper left seating.

Nisaa has joined the lower center seating.

Desiree has joined the upper left seating.

Appolonia has been here the entire time, really, just there beside Luca. She is even without a glass of wine this time as she holds up her own piece of wall and murmurs in low-tones with the Fox-Prince, pausing when Sorrel speaks. Occasionally those grays flit around the room and she gives a nod to familiar faces she catches in the crowd.

"...haven't missed any so far, not going to miss one just because it's miserable outside." Prince Niklas Grayson sweeps in with his wife Princess Sabella Grayson on his arm. He looks around the hall, offering Gianna a slight tilt of his chin before he leads Sabella over to sit down at the lower center seating, helping her down before settling in next to her.

The bards on the stage queue up the music, for there are a quartet of young bard trainees who are playing the accompaniment tonight. They look very proud to have been chosen to play with the princess, and though the music they perform has tones that are bittersweet, but there's a joyful thread that runs through the music. Sorrel sings as if she is absolutely passionate about the music that she is performing, and it shows in her face and in her body language:

"Grieve not, beloved Copper, not today,
Though eons of sadness on you must weigh.
My song is my gift to lighten your soul:
A smile on your face is my only goal.

"The Knights of your Copper Guard stand with you
With deep loyalty, they'll always be true.
Unknown and unsung, they fight through darkness
And drive back the horrors of the Abyss.

"Who does know the Mage of Second Chances,
For whom time itself may be forced to dance?
Many a mortal across many years
And losing friends leads to many tears.

"Yet even in this there is hope and Light
For these are your friends who try to make Right
To rebuild the world for the greater good.
Whatever you need, they'd do if they could.

"Uncountably many successes done;
Immeasurable are the battles won.
Recall the fallen, but the living too.
All those you have loved -- they also love you."

Quietly, the Whisper Nisaa walks in. Her gaze sweeps over the venue for a moment before she finds an empty seat. Making her way there, she sits and with a graceful posture, folds her hands in her lap.

Having seated himself carefully on one of the benches, Scipio Whisper talks in low tones with those nearby, the lifting of Sorrel's voice however earns the entirety of his attention, focused on the woman when she sings, listening intently.

When the song is over, Caspian claps, cheering for Sorrel and her performance. Though it's a short cheer, and then he quiets down for the upcoming question and answer session.

Scipio is overheard praising Sorrel: Beautifully sung.

Reese is overheard praising Sorrel: Beautifully sung

Delilah is overheard praising Sorrel: Gorgeous composition!

Sapphira is overheard praising Sorrel: Beautiful!! Just so inspiring!

Violet is overheard praising Sorrel: As always, well composed and sung

Winter sits in the center upper seating, more in the shadows than the lights of the hall. But her eyes gleam as Sorrel sings, her attention riveted on the woman performing. And there is a long pause as the silence holds for a moment, and when the audience starts clapping she stands and claps as well, bowing toward the stage as she does.

Macda is overheard praising Sorrel: Another beautiful performance!

Desiree is overheard praising Sorrel.

Appolonia is overheard praising Sorrel.

Caspian is overheard praising Scholars: Good job sponsoring this lovely and educational event!

Caspian is overheard praising Sorrel: How is this woman not a legend yet for her wonderful verse crafting?!

Amari applauds for the song, having listened intently throughout, her smile small but thoughtful. There's a murmur of appreciation from her as well as she settles back in her seat, hands reclasped neatly in lap.

Gaston's clapping is subdued; he's been quietly listening to song and taking it in without feeling any particular need to comment, this time around. When the song is over, he glances around the Hall with gleaming eyes, and nods to himself thoughtfully.

Spring sits silent through the performance, a smile on her face for the lovely music and the hopeful sentiment. When it concludes, she applauds enthusiastically for Sorrel!

Ian slips in at some point during the concert, and stays in the back, doing his best to be unobtrusive. He was here all along! Really! He doesn't applaud, though. He's only got the one hand, his other holding his cane.

Gianna raises her hands and applauds, her lovely star and pearl ring flashing with the movement.

Luca is overheard praising Sorrel: She has good taste in Metallics!

At the concluding line of the song, Helena smiles, a sweet, soft thing unlike the more impish one she often wears, clearly touched. She applauds with enthusiasm, before leaning to say something to one of her fellow spectators nearby.

Gaston is overheard praising Sorrel: This work had so much love and hope in it! It cheers a border marcher's heart.

The sounds of Sorrel's voice draw Sina's attention away from whatever's going on at her seating, and she listens with a rapt expression on her face, hearing the song of Copper. She closes her eyes, and sighs, smiling softly. The performance is over too soon, of course, but when it ends, she opens her eyes, and applauds along with everyone else, smiling proudly toward Sorrel.

Sina is overheard praising Sorrel: Another beautiful song!

Mikani applauds Sorrel enjoying the song.

Sabella is overheard praising Sorrel: Each song is better than the last!

Thorley rises for a moment to share in the applause, before retaking his seat next to Violet.

Thorley is overheard praising Sorrel.

Sabella is overheard praising Gianna: Those acoustics!

Nisaa is overheard praising Sorrel: An inspiring voice and song.

Amari is overheard praising Sorrel.

Lisebet is overheard praising Sorrel: Wonderful performance

Galen is overheard praising Sorrel: That's my albatross!!!! Beautiful song.

Autumnapplauds enthusiastically when Sorrel finishes, her eyes shining at the song -- and at the message of hope it conveys, despite the heavy burden that Copper must bear.

2 Grimhall House Guards arrives, following Sanya.

Cadern is overheard praising Sorrel.

"You've all received a copy of the lyrics, and I'd like you all to sing with me, to Copper, just two lines," Sorrel says with much passion in her breast as she bows amidst the praise and the applause. "The two lines I want you to sing with me are: Let's rebuild the world the world for the greater good // Whatever you need, we'll do if we could!" She smiles at the audience with great warmth as they applaud. "Sing it with me as a thank-you to Copper. And remember that you might not know her in your life, but your life has been better for her. Once we have sung together, I'll open the floor for respectful questions."

Sanya Grimhall is sat on one of the seats close to the stage as Sorrel performs.

Galen rises, bringing both hands together in a fashion so as to make thunderous applause at the Princess' performance. He goes so far as to start to stand on his seat while clapping but decides better and remains grounded, but he cheers strongly nonetheless, before joining in song with the lovely woman on stage. The Prince of Thrax raises his hands in a standing gesture, encouraging folks to rise and sing along to the music provided.

Sanya checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 19 higher.

Sina checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 29 higher.

Lisebet checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 42 higher.

Sabella checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 52 higher.

As Sorrel encourages everyone to sing with her, she is a bit hesitant at first, but well, who's going to hear her anyway? She lets her voice blend in with the other voices of those who choose to take up the call to sing the verses, "Let's rebuild the world for the greater good / Whatever you need, we'll do if we could!" She's into it, yes. There's a certain wonder in the raising of many voices in song as well.

Violet checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 6 lower.

Galen checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 8 higher.

Scipio has rolled a critical success!
Scipio checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 45 higher.

Gaston checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 8 higher.

Ian threads himself around to be a little closer to the stage, although still on the fringes of things, while people sing. Needless to say, he does not do so. A fact for which everyone should be grateful.

Shard's eyebrows arch considerably. She sits up a little straighter, but she clearly doesn't sing.

Domonico looks at the lyrics and doesn't pretend to sing.

Lou checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 6 higher.

Reese checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 54 higher.

Thorley sing? Only if you want dirty diddies and limericks. Otherwise, it's better to just.. yeah, let someone else sing. But damned if he doesn't try.

Caspian rises to his feet at Sorrel's prompting, and when the signal is given, he sings the last line with gusto, "Let's rebuild the world for the greater good / Whatever you need, we'll do if we could!"

Singing with the princess?! Tala is obviously excited and bounces in her seat. Violet glances at her fondly, reaching out to pull the girl against her for a brief hug. The request to sing with has her taking a breath to join in with the others. Though she might not sing well, she still tries. "Let's rebuild the world for the greater good / Whatever you need, we'll do if we could!"

Thorley checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 5 lower.

Gianna rises from her seat and tosses her hair over her shoulder, raising her voice to sing out the lines.

Caspian checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 31 higher.

Miranda checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 3 higher.

Gianna checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 38 higher.

Desiree joins in with Sorrel as she instructs them to sing with her.

Spring takes the lyrics sheet into her hands, and smiles to hear the chorus, but she doesn't sing.

Sing? Lisebet loves to sing, she joins in with all her verve and skill.

Duarte checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 10 higher.

Jeffeth checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 18 higher.

The chiming lilt from Delilah echoes the lyric in a fluting soprano, a gentle creation as far as they go. Harmonizing with the others is easy, though she clasps her hands together.

Scipio rises at Sorrel's request, carefully drawing plain woollen outfit around him as he does so. He sings the lines in question with a deep, pleasant tone that doesn't seem well-practiced -- he's no performer despite his occupation -- for which he does exceedingly well. Perhaps he's just a natural talent.

Lou lifts an amused brow at Sorrel when she asks others to join int. She is not a performer herself, not even /close/ to it. Yet, somehow, she manages NOT to let the two lines of song sound like baying dogs in the moonlight or strangled cats in an alley when she sings it.

Gaston rises when the others do, and while his voice is rough and unpolished, at least he doesn't growl the lines. His rumbling bass might even be considered pleasant, in less refined circles.

Miranda rises from her seat, her copy of the lyrics in hand. She manages the two lyrics on key! And that's about the extent of her ability to sing! "Let's rebuild the world the world for the greater good // Whatever you need, we'll do if we could!" It's all in fun, right?

Duarte belts out the lines in a smooth baritone.

Reese joins in with the chorus, singing in tune and her tone is a decent alto.

Sapphira checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 30 higher.

Sabella stands up, beaming, and waits for the queue before singing out in a pure soprano voice.

Mikani checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 17 higher.

Farwatch singing is best done and listened to after several drinks and the two newly minted Farwatchs are proving it with Thorley's rather.. off-key singing.

Jeffeth stands up and begins singing when the others do, his voice is all about that bass, about the bass. It's no trouble.

Sapphira arrived quitely before the song started, and is just awed by it. Then there is a chance to join in! She cannot wait and joins in with her lovely angelic voice.

Bliss checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 20 higher.

Amari checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 12 higher.

Mikani rises and sings with the rest. Her singing voice warm like her speaking voice.

Nisaa rises from her spot and sings with a clear projection, "Let's rebuild the world the world for the greater good // Whatever you need, we'll do if we could!"

Nisaa checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 28 higher.

Harper checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 3 lower.

Oh, there's singing! Bliss seems to join in just a moment late, but soon her distinctive contralto is winding through the melody along with the others.

Violet's voice is thankfully lost among all the others who can sing. Tala, at least, can sing in her sweet, youthful soprano.

Patsy, Samantha arrive, following Rymarr.

At prompting, Helena rises from her feet, fingers grasping the seat in front of her lightly as she sings softly, almost under her breath -- performance is not her forte. Only those nearest to her can hear her voice is clear and sweet in tone and timbre.

Sanya rises, singing along to the lyrics.

Domonico remains seated, dispite everyone around him standing and singing, frowning as he looks at ths lyrics.

Harper stands up with the others but looks a little bewildered at the thought of singing. Not wanting to be rude, she just sort of mouths the words quietly so as to not disrupt the others who can actually sing without scaring off half the cats in the neighborhood.

Giulio checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 6 lower.

When the singing has died down a bit, Sorrel looks appreciative and happy at the response she's gotten. "Thank you! Thank you all so much! If Copper were here, I'm sure she'd appreciate your willingness to work for the greater good and to help her," she says with a broad infectuous smile. "Now! I shall be happy to answer questions about Copper, as you have them."

Battle axe meeting a millrace, yep. That's what Giulio sounds like. But, he /tries/ anyways.

Samantha has joined the lower right seating.

Amari rises with most everyone else to add her voice to the chorus. She sings competently, and her enthusiasm for it certainly helps. There's a shoulder bump for Lisebet before she trails off, brow arching lightly again at Giulio for his hoarse rejoinder. She'll grin a moment, then sit as Sorrel segues on to the question and answers portion of the show.

Rymarr has joined the lower right seating.

Sanya has joined the lower left seating.

Violet glances around as the floor is open to questions. Then she slowly rises and asks, "She created several magical items with the others, correct? Do we know what things she created or worked on herself? I've heard tell of lots of notes..."

Once the singing has started to die down, Sina resumes her seat once more. When did she stand up, anyway? She applauds some more, looking very pleased with the proceedings. The Archscholar arranges her robes then, and adjusts her cloak about her shoulders, and settles in to listen to the questions and answers when they commence. She murmurs something to Galen, who is sitting near her, and smiles.

Lisebet cannot help but smile as she listens to all the voices. Even Thorley and Violet are singing! She looks over at the rest of the small group with her and chuckles lightly, once the singing dies down. She returns that shoulder bump of Amari's, and settles back in her seat, grinning as Violet starts off the questions.

Shard is still making a little bit of a face as the singing dies down, but when the questions begin it fades back to simply looking guarded. Her eyes move toward Violet as she speaks up.

Ian shifts a little more weight onto his cane and listens in silence. He's definitely paying attention, though. His eyes are alert as he picks out details, faces in the crowd.

Thorley has left the lower left seating.

"So Copper was not an artificer, not to the extent that someone like Brass or Cobalt was. If she made items, I am unaware of them. She has written a great deal of letters, and she's a great original source for a lot of history. Some of the things she has written have been on copper plates and the like, as it is her signature metal, and those items have been preserved more easily than paper," Sorrel replies to Violet with a smile. She glances around for other questions.

Gaston stands and bows to Sorrel, and then to others in the Hall. His voice is raspy with emotion. "A wonderful performance, as always. And as someone who has had cause to fight throughout a lifetime, a trait we all share here, hearing everyone sing the lines you penned was a wonder. How might best those of us on the outskirts help achieve the sentiment the song expresses, and get involved in Copper's efforts?"

Violet fiddles with something in her hands as she listens to Sorrel's answer. There is a little disappointment in her eyes and she nods. "I don't suppose anyone could introduce me?" She asks with a laugh before sitting down again.

Lou perks up at Sorrel, "Actually.... she had a hand in making the stone shield that was recently used to help protect the Lodge of Petrichor."

Lou quickly adds, "But, so many others also helped make that shield as well."

Lisebet listens to the answers to the questions, but murmurs occasionally at her grouping, even glancing admiringly at Gianna's ring.

Sina listens with interest as the questions begin, her eyes glancing about from those asking, to Sorrel as she answers. Her gaze travels over to Lou as the Pathfinder speaks of the shield used at the Lodge. She gives the Pathfinder a nod across the way, then glances toward Sorrel to see if she will answer Galen's question. For now, she is silent, but thoughtful.

"Working for the greater good should be your goal in many an interaction with your lieges, your vassals, your friends, and your relations. Be kind. Avoid abyssal magic. Fight the Abyss where it rears its ugly head. Fight for good!" Sorrel replies to Gaston with feeling, lifting her hands over her head. "Choose actively the Light." Then she perks up at Lou. "Ah, yes, the shield! Lou, would you mind discussing that with our audience? I have only limited information about it."

Gaston bows his head in response, and sits.

Mikani has left the upper right seating.

1 Redoubt Buccaneers, Damien Pierce - A Charming Assistant, 1 Redreef Warden, 1 Thrax Guards leave, following Mikani.

Lou ls leaning over to whisper something to Harper when Sorrel calls on her. She nods, rising to her feet for but a few moments to rush out her words. "The stone shield is one of the items from the Song of Names and Lost Blades. It was discovered on Clan Morien's territory some two years ago, myself and several others retrieved it. It was given to them by a woman called The Grieving Mage, which I surmise to have been Copper herself, for she is often sad about the loss of her friends." Lou is also very much speaking in present tense and not past when it comes to Copper. "It was last used, prior to the Lodge of Petrichor, to defend Clan Morien against a great attack."

Scipio has left the lower center seating.

Dolmen, a Crimson Agent arrives, delivering a message to Ian before departing.

Miranda has left the lower center seating.

Domonico has left the lower center seating.

Domonico leaves, following Miranda.

Cadern has left the upper left seating.

Sanya has left the lower left seating.

2 Grimhall House Guards leaves, following Sanya.

Sina glances over at Galen as he nudges her, but luckily, she wasn't leaning on said elbow. She does rub the spot though, and she gives him a look with those silvery eyes of hers, lips curling into a vaguely amused smile, before turning her attention back toward the questions and answers. She clears her throat slightly, and listens carefully to Sorrel's response to Gaston's question. She nods thoughtfully, and yet, she doesn't ask any questions of her own. Her gaze is on Lou now, listening curiously about the stone shield. Her own expression turns a bit solemn as Lou speaks of Copper's sadness, and she glances down at her hands briefly, rubbing at a spot on her wrist idly. Then she glances back up, eyes focused and attentive.

Amari swivels her head, eyes searching for Lou to put a face to the voice as the princess tells of the stone shield. She looks quite interested, if slightly confused. That's sort of typical of her at these things.

Sapphira finds a place to sit, and listen as questions are asked and comments are made.

Isabetta has joined the lower right seating.

"Thank you, Lou. That's very edifying," Sorrel says with a smile, nodding once. "Does anyone else have any questions about Copper? It's good to know that the Stone Shield saw use during the Lodge. That was a very difficult but important fight against the Abyss, and having the shield means that Copper aided us in more ways than one, considering the copper and ash wood note at the end of the fighting."

Now this causes Lou to raise both brows at Sorrel. Something she'll have to ask about later. For now though, her attention goes back to her table as she settles back down in her seat.

Gaston has left the lower center seating.

Amari lifts her hand, asking a tentative question which becomes two more on the same theme, "Why is Copper still alive? Did I miss that part? Wasn't Brass strongly encouraged to not be after he replaced his heart and lived far too long? Or is it that her magic controls time, so technically, she hasn't lived longer than anyone else, she's just lived more slowly...?" That might start to get a little mind bending so she trails off and looks to Sorrel, curious.

Dandy, the red fox, 1 Templar Knight guards leave, following Etienne.

Nisaa has left the lower center seating.

Lou finishes speaking at her table and turns to leave.

Violet has left the lower left seating.

Erin, Crimson Blades Private have been dismissed.

Jin, Cranky Crimson Blades Sergeant have been dismissed.

Gale, The Mighty Pupper have been dismissed.

2 Crimson Blades Lieutenant have been dismissed.

Lou has left the lower center seating.

Willen leaves, following Lou.

Lisebet blinks as she looks over at Amari, wordless but there are definitely ideas percolating.

Ian is still here, standing still and keeping silent while he watches and listens to the exchange of questions and answers.

"Copper wrote some notes on magical sleep, but they're largely incomprehensible to anyone who isn't Copper, unfortunately. Something about stasis using primum by halting temporal advancement with eldritch jolts... and if that made sense to you, you're probably a mage. This is sadly one of those questions that's quite difficult. Elves, after all, live lifespans longer than humans, and it may be that she's using something similar to how the elves do it. But she is a master of time, so it may be that she merely bends time to her will. My answer is largely conjecture," Sorrel explains with a small smile. "But we're glad to have her aid when it comes."

Mirk has left the upper right seating.

1 Crimson Blades Sergeant leaves, following Mirk.

Galen stands and apparently has to depart, but not before making his way up to the edge of the stage and setting a bouquet of flowers onto it, giving a kiss to the palm of his hand and sending it towards the lovely spaker before slipping off to the next engagement. The Prince's time seems to not be his own even as we talk about the master of time!

Galen has left the lower right seating.

4 Thrax Guards leaves, following Galen.

Desiree has left the upper left seating.

2 House Wyrmguard Guards leaves, following Desiree.

Amari probably isn't a mage so probably didn't understand much of that, still, she smiles appreciatively, "I suppose that is the important part. Thank you, Your Highness." She dips her head and quiets, not monopolizing Sorrel's time with yet more questions. She got her share in.

Delilah curls her fingers around her knee, hitching the joint slightly higher. Whatever pressure sustains the elevation of her toe, she reclines back a few inches until comfortably in a neutral position. She mirrors that faint hint of a smile that hasn't entire escaped.

Sorrel gauges the audience, which is starting to filter out, and says, "Thank you all again for coming. It's been my pleasure to sing for you and to answer your questions. If you've missed any songs, we'll be happy to make the lyrics available, and if you're interested in more information about any of the Metallics, I'm happy to provide it. Thank you, and good night."

Gianna rises from her seat and calls, "Thank you so much, Princess Sorrel."
