I'm grateful for all the commissions on my plate, but I'm going to have to slow them down for now if I want to finish my autumn line of clothes and furniture. So I'll finish what I've already taken on and then redouble my efforts on getting my autumn clothes done by October. And maybe learn to fashion aeterna by winter time for the next season's line?! We'll see!

Two items of news to report:
I have accepted Lord Niklas Kennex's kind offer of patronage. I hope I do not disappoint.
I have also opened a small shop near the Academy, Spencer's Books and Scribing Supplies; my stock consists of blank journals, paper, and various scribing tools, with the occasional book for sale. At the moment I have a copy of Principia's Anatomy, which is quite expensive due to the fact that all the detailed diagrams took a very long time to copy accurately. I should really get an assistant.

In the moonlight (Week 13)
When it comes to marriage with me, I am truly blessed. It is a journey of romance and love. It is a never ending courtship which you are falling in love with your best friend over and over every day. I do understand this is not always the most common of arrangements for noble marriages to be in. Often arrangements to further one's personal influence and power, if love comes into it all, that is just considered an aftersight. For me, it seems to be completely the opposite.
To me, I am stricken with love every moment I awaken to see her face. My thoughts often linger to her when she is not near. It was this love that led to our marriage. In this case, it was the added benefit of reinforcing our long lasting alliance with House Velenosa which was just a grand addition to it all.
What I can't seem to gather is why some can not see this? While, I can not say I am the most devoted in the understandings of Limerance, they are alluring. The belief in devotion in love and marriage, it is something I embrace completely.

MOCK turtle soup, ROAST carrots and potatoes, ROASTED pheasant, piles of TOASTed breads and rolls, wrapped asparagus bundles TEASED to standing, piles of RAZZ(raspberries)berries and JAPES (grapes), and of course... RIBS. Notably absent, however is BUTTER -- there's no way to butter anything up.
I have also staffed the event exclusively with male waiters named Josh.

I don't have much in the way of news to write about. I don't suppose Vellichor much cares either, but I thought I'd try to write something, maybe for future Scholars, maybe just because.
I have been trying to leave the house and meet folk and find something to busy myself with. It's just hard. I know other folk have lost as much as I have, and they're doing things instead of locking themselves in their quarters. I reckon that's one good thing about having responsibilities and such.
The kittens are all growing up fine and healthy, except for Pawdric. He's a bit smaller than the rest and he's got funny legs, but he seems happy so that's what matters. I suppose I should start looking for folk who might want to take them in. It's too many for me, soon they'll be out and running through the streets and getting in trouble, I'm sure.
I hope Vellichor likes cats.

So much to say and goodness me if I don't feel a little silly not doing this sooner when my memories are fresh. I always wonder 'Is this worth recording' but the voices of great and small all echo the same in the God's ears so...
My sister is here, sweet Paige. So grown up and full of adventure. We sleep in the same hallway at the Inn and yet her duties keep her so busy I rarely see her. And Jonathan too, since his da's farm burned and whatnot, he had nothing left at home so he came here.
I knew this was where I needed to be if I ever wanted my own tavern someday so here I am too. I've made so many lovely connections and met handsome princes and sweet princessess and nobles of all ranks, as well as very gallant knights and charming rogues.
It's like living in the middle of a story.
