Met a bunch of people today. They seemed alright. Everyone wanted to spar me just because I'm Iron Guard. But why are they mostly the size of small mountains?
Anyway, I wasn't really there to spar, and by the time it was around to me I had to head out, so I didn't spar today. But I admit that with Dame Edelma... I'm looking forward to fighting her. She's my own size. Bet I'll learn something from her.

I managed not to throw up when I docked in Southport and saw the place where Cicero died. I suppose that's a victory...
Mission went well. We helped a lot of people, found a lot of common ground, and didn't see a single weird freaky form in a mirror. I guess that's good. The next step of the mission is to help settle the ones who deserve settling and deal with... what needs dealing.

I spent some time in the Tragedy yesterday, a lot of places in the lowers seem frozen in time, a new sign post here a redecorated store front there, but the weeds still grow and the rains still make their puddles in the same places, I've lived here my entire life and yet every time I cross from the dockyard that higher stone on the path trips me up.
The same can be said for the children that run in and out of that blessed curse of a home from where I came, who never seem to change. Though the lot I spent some time with yesterday were fairly good at dice. While I was entertaining the children I was visited by the very spirit of hope and charity in the guise of a disheveled man, but then what are hope and charity supposed to look like? He bade me to examine the lessons I was imparting my young proteges about how their chance might come by once and that they should seize it regardless of the cost to others, from where I sit, had I stopped to help anyone I'd never have made it past Tragedy.

The Scholars have invited me into their group as a student. I have to say that after getting a tour of the stacks, I am quite pleased with the development. Books have always been a love of mine, and they certainly have a lot of them. Between the Scholars and the Explorers, I am certain that I will be able to keep myself busy.

It has been good to get out and about in the city once again. I have been stuck working for far too long. I had forgotten how nice Arx can be from time to time. Hopefully as I learn more of the city, I will find more and more places that I can spend my time and have a little fun.

I have joined with the Lodge of Petrichor recently. I believe that this will be a more fitting group for me, than the other groups that follow the Pantheon Gods. Being in the wild... enjoying the hunt... protecting the sacred places. This is what I have always wished to do.

The call for the possibilty of a patron has left quite a few answers on my step. None have been met with yet, arrangements made to sit, take a meal and speak. I must claim surprise that so many answered the call and am so very humbled by it. It will be hard to choose one, but somewhere in there, surely there is one to who me and mine will found a relationship with as I did back in Lenosia.

Yes, for all of the handful of you who have heard of me, it's true. I've managed to be convinced to stay on dry land for longer than a week and have taken up residence in the estate of Darkwater Reach for the foreseeable future. Lady Carita has already seen fit to hand the duties of our warfare ministry over to me, a daunting task, to be certain, but one which I look forward to tackling.
In my short time here in Arx on this trip, it has become apparent to me what the perception of my House is already. So I will make one thing clear, early on.
There is not a person from Darkwater Reach who has not experienced loss on the grandest scale imaginable. But we are raised tough - beyond tough. We carry our heads high. We will take back what we've lost from those who are preying on our moment of weakness and make them regret ever having crossed us.
In my short time here in Arx on this trip, it has become apparent to me what the perception of my House is already. So I will make one thing clear, early on.
