It was an absolute honor to be there for the birth of your son. I must say, you handled the situation well, with aplomb and gravitas, befitting a man of your stature. I applaud your willingness -- nay your insistence on being the one to deliver your son. I was quite moved, and so happy to be there to ensure the health of your radiant wife and beautiful boy.

I find myself unable to remember all the orders that people have placed let alone keep up with them or get them finished. Luckily I don't charge until I am finished, but I am sure that I let some people down and I do apologize to anyone I let done. Until I am feeling better, I'm not taking any new orders, but I will try to stock my shop back up and I will try to finish anything I said I would make, if those people remind me. Otherwise I might not remember.

I met a man named Justus yesterday. He is a servant of the Sentinel, but doesn't seem to a member of the priesthood. One might dismiss him as a blind old man, but I found myself quite awed by his presence. He sees without eyes, strong in spite of his age, and his very presence is calming.
We did not speak at great lengths, but what he did say are words of wisdom and guidance. I wish to speak with him more; just being in his company gave me hope.

I've been told once or twice that I get excited a bit too quickly over things. Today though, I am FULLY JUSTIFIED (yes, all caps there) in being as over the moon as I can be.
My dearest cousin, Tabitha, has decided to come an join Whitehawk!!!!!!!!!!! (Little flowers and hearts are drawn around the name Tabitha and Whitehawk.)
Since she has come back to Arx she has been an absolute delight in my life. Her quiet humor and gentle ways make her a comforting presence to be about, and she has put up with my teasing with all of the grace one could possibly ask for. (With that said, I am not at all apologetic for pushing her towards a particular person at the crew races; it was just what family should do!)
Nothing at all could dull my spirits today - now I'm just waiting to see her again so I can sweep her up in a hug. Perhaps I'll ask the staff to unlock her door and be waiting for her when she gets home so there is no way I might miss her.

Preparations to head north are going well, perhaps too well... I have already secured the participation of Dame Morrighan, Commander Violet, her brother and crimson blade member Briar, and possibly several others. When I spoke with Violet about the size of the group she seemed to believe we would need a group of soldiers. I've rarely kept forces with me while scouting but I suppose if by some disaster a group of Knights and Compact citizens died while assisting Whitehold it would look bad on the house. So I will have to organize a small portion of our forces to be within a day or twos ride of our scouting area. As for the scouting party itself to limit it to five or allow more... That is my current quandary, we shall see what comes in the following days.
I need to see about Jordan, Alexis, and Page as well... Maybe a healer, I'm sure one of them can tie a bandage, it's probably fine.
We seek to travel north in a months time, if all goes well.

Do I not always tell you how difficult it is to tell a hopeful story without an element of despair, to tell a love story that does not involve heartbreak or sorrow? Our lives are so much richer for experiencing these bad elements, because they make the good ones so much brighter in contrast.
