I knew there was a reason I generally try and avoid being productive.
It's exhausting. Ex-haus-ting.
People in and out and bits of paper and speaking to this person and that person. Never again! Never again! I have determined to be a scandalous layabout the rest of my life!
I would much rather have spent the week climbing trees, or swimming in a lake somewhere, though I suppose I have potentially accomplished something worthwhile? As I once said to my mother - I understand responsibility is important. I just also understand it is incredibly boring!
I'm blocking out the next week to do something frivolous.

In honor of Scholar Harrison, someone we lost this week, we might all do well to consider the path that lays before us. Be it dangerous, go forth with the resolve in your heart to do good and to leave this world in a better place than when you found it. If you choose the more cautious path, you will likely live longer and be healthier and I would never look badly upon you. Those of us who take chances leave our examples for the rest when we fall. Hubris and ego definitely play their part, as it is our domain that they make their own, but I think it is unfair to call his sacrifice anything less than just that, a sacrifice.

Ah, what a lovely evening with the Marquessa and her Marquis. Not only was she direct in such a way that I have yet to see from a Lycene, but her understanding of the needs and desires for business over just base pleasures was both reassuring and enlightening. I do look forward to spending more time with the Mazetti family in the days to come, for there are many projects that we can pool our resources for, aiding and growing both houses from West to South.

Once again my cousin shows that he is indeed the man best suited for the Master of Coin. His skills in directing and distributing the men and women that we have in Fair Harbour, while working with the Counties and their needs, is second to none. As our fair march grows, I am thankful to have him at my side, aiding with all of his skills at making things not only efficient, but even more effective for us all.

Vitalis has returned to Arx once again, I dare say I am the only one that crosses their fingers when I admit to being hopeful that this time it will be for more than a fortnight. While we have not had a proper chance to catch up, it has been nice to see his smiling face within the manor.

Last night I had the good pleasure of dining with the Harthalls. It is not often that myself and the Marquis find ourselves playing the role of guests, and I confess it was an enjoyable sensation. More enjoyable, however, were Marquessa Sunniva and her husband, Marquis Orvyn. Each were wonderfully charming, and the conversation was superb, for all that we spent a great deal of time on introducing ourselves to one another and navigating small talk while we found our stride together. I look forward to future get-togethers with them, and hope that they feel the same.

Journal day, journal day! What a glorious day we share, the day of celebration for the knowledge of recording!
So many joyous events have befallen my path in just a few short months, since the war of Stormwall has left its marks I've at last found reason to be rejuvenated. It is by the grace of those friendly souls that have surrounded me in these times of hardship that I owe a swift recovery, of the physical and of the mind. My brothers and sisters in the Silver Order and those I call friend outside of it, you know who you are!
In the last week I was granted an honor most prestigious within that very same order. The title of Adjutant, a second in Command to Grandmaster Thena, Duchess of the Dance and Harrowing Smiles. It is with grace and duty that I shall take every responsibility that involves such a role. I must extend my unending gratitude to the Grandmaster for her trust in me, my brother Jeffeth for believing in me, and my faithful hound Elegance for not turning her nose up at the market-bought kibbles the very same day! Truly, it could not have been better.
Then came the Gala of Auctioning for the children without parents! What a remarkable showing of generosity, the likes of which I have not seen since my entire time in Arx. 50,000 silver for myself, 70,000 for Sir Jeffeth and the best of all saved for last, Grandmaster Thena with a 260,000 donation! WONDERFUL!
Finally I must say that I am overjoyed at the recent news coming from my homeland. The Oathlands and their approach to spreading the Godly faiths without bloodshed is a most celebratory occasion. As someone on the outside, let me extend a measure of thanks and congratulations for a mission well done!

I find myself relieved by the comfort of my home in Arx after my travels through the Northlands to gather material for the Great Archival Project. I am glad not to be camping out in the wilderness; I missed my bed so much. I would be dead many times over if not for help from the League of Explorers and the people of the Northlands. The journey was a fascinating one, however, and gathering the stories of the people was an honour. I gained great respect for them during my time there, overcoming some shameful predjudice.
Since my return, I have been delving deep into the Archives. Possibly too deep, and I think I have a project of some importance to look into.

The Gala was an amazing success, despite a raucous and occasionally bloody game of Pin the Tail on the Unicorn (won most spectacularly by Count Duarte Amadeo, with Lady Monique Telmar and Princess Caith Thrax + Orphan Army taking second and third place respectively). Between the money raised at auction, donations and the Dance Off, the Knights of Solace raised nearly 900,000 silver for our objectives. Some of the Gildian disciples with a bent for accounting are looking at the best means of distributing these funds to help orphans in Arvum.
I don't have the presence of mind to thank everyone right this moment, but please know that I am so grateful to everyone who contributed their time, talent and silver. And I could not be more proud of my Order, especially Sir Jeffeth Bayweather, whose representation of the virtues of the Knights of Solace and call to focus on those in need was the seed from which this all grew, and all of the other Knights (Sir Daemon, Duke Cristoph, Princess Agatha) who volunteered to go on the auction block in Gild's name.

I met with Marquis Harthall the other day in his courtyard, but we did not speak much. Lord Kent was well and the Marquessa beautiful, happy and full of life. There was a new arrival, Lady Liliana, she is stunning, but she appeared to be a little distracted. Lisebet showed off her winnings from the charity event, such a lovely cousin, I will miss her if she ever leaves our house for another.
