Relationship Note on Fatima
I met this one at the Thraxian wake for those lost in Brand's Battle. All I can really say about the event is that it was like our bonfires, except without the fire and more nautically inclined. She likes to raise a ruckus, knives embedded in thighs no exception to the games. In her defense, I really do think she was aiming for the apple on his head and not simply using that as an excuse to strike the man.

My that was bracing!
I was honored to take part in a melee for the benefit of the Iron Guard. Grandmaster Armel, Dame Leta, Princess Alis, Princess Marian, and myself made up the opposing side. Lord Commander Silas, Prince Ainsley, Lord Esteban, Master Merek, and my good First Officer Calaudrin represented their Iron Guard. It was very hard-fought, but the Iron Guardsman emerged triumphant. Gloria's honors to all who took the field, and thanks to a fine fight!
Perhaps Dame Leta has a point, that we should have formed a wedge. Next time!

I've been working at Mistress Petal's store, to help her while she's got her hands full making masks for this ball there's going to be. I didn't do much stitching on the masks, other than some simple sewing work, but I did a bit of cleaning and sewing on simpler things. I don't know if that's too knightly or not, but I'm learning to work with proper fabrics, so that's worth something.
That's two hobbies I've got, besides the fighting, and I'm told hobbies are a proper thing for a woman of means to have. My means aren't as good as I'd like them to be, but I'm more than comfortable. Me being from the Lowers, it's a life of luxury and no mistake, thanks to the gods and my sword arm, and I can't complain.

Having now borne witness to several contests of martial prowess pitted between House Thrax and House Valardin, I have come to see more clearly both the qualities that define us as similar creatures and those that mark us out as different. There is great strength to be found in both of our Houses, unquestionably, but there is also a rather remarkable measure of real honor and quiet wisdom that might sometimes be easy to overlook for the sake of less favorable labels.

I fought in this melee fundraiser for the Iron Guard. It's a charity and with my woman being an Iron Guard I thought why not. My side lost against the Iron Guard but it was a good fight. Maybe if we'd formed a wedge we could have won, as the enemy had tactics and archers and such and they are a real pain in the whatsits. I've got to have at least half a dozen arrows in me, and that's just to start with. But it's for charity and Gild blesses that sort of thing, so by my reckong I ought to have some more good fortune coming. I could've fought more, maybe turned the tide of things, but then if I'd died because of bleeding too much I think my woman would have kicked my ass some across the after life.

My collections are being to look ever so lovely. But I still want to collect more things. More plushies. More candies. More chocolates. More books. Definently more books. Thankfully even with my collecting I am managing to get a lot of salves and other supplies needed for the Open Health day that is soon to come that I will be assisting at. I am looking forward to it. Being able to help mend and heal others. It brings me such joy.

I think I would like to vacation somewhere for a while once all this business settles down a little. I know the siege ended, but I think I was better rested then. It would be interesting to see other parts of Arvum and not stare at the walls of Arx for a few days. Perhaps a camping trip?

I've been looking over paperwork looking over what I'm going to do to have a holding for Navegant built. If it were up to me, I would simply live on my ship at the docks. But sadly, it is distinctly not up to me. Never been Voice, and having a great deal more responsibilities foisted upon me is nothing new, but perhaps it's a bit different in an area that I'm not completely versed in.
Once I've gathered enough resources, I plan to have ground broken, but until then, it will continue to remain nothing more than a series of sketches.
Side note, order more port from Escuma, seems like people are starting to become a fan of it. If nothing else, I can at least provide that.

I have been spending time with Alis lately, it has been helping. I love getting to spend time with my sister. I know she is my sister in law but really she feels more like family as if she has always been there. From the moment she and Fia got together I knew the two were meant to be. It was a feeling. From that first meeting. She has always been a friend to me and cares for me. It is more than I could have asked for. It is also good to know that I have people I can go to. I know that Fia will always be there for me but I love that it isn't just us anymore. We have become a part of a group that has become a family whether we are related or not.

As of late I have made many changes not just for myself but for others as well. There has been shares of skepticism. People doubted my resolve to act but it is there now for all of Arvum to see. I thank the Gods for their guidance and the Faith for its support.

During the cold nights in the Maelstrom as children we were dependent on each other. It was never easy with a father executed as a traitor and a mother who abandoned us. Forged in cold fire the rigors of the Salt life has shaped who we are. I do not regret those days because of hard circumstance hard people are made. Survivors.
But it has never cracked the foundation of what we are. Brother and sister. We have forged an unconditional bond that is a support structure for whatever comes.
