Relationship Note on Narciso
The loss of Inquisitor Narciso is an intense lost for Compact.
He had a special kind of wisdom that only comes with madness.
He helped to keep us safe in the mission into the Gray Forest.
His wild madness became a kind of genius and am not sure
we would have survived that mission without him.
He had such words of comfort for Joslyn after Lady Juliet died.
I didn't know what to say, but he did.
He had a gift finding the right words.
And for truly understanding the mind's others.
He is not replaceable and his loss is a great one.
He will be missed.

Relationship Note on Narciso
The Confessor fought well, before he was felled. He stood up for righteousness or perhaps his own perceived view of right. I can not make assumptions of his aspirations or intentions, as I didn't even know him. If I did, I can't say that we were familiar to one another.
What I can say is that he died a heroes death. I can say that had I been able to reach my goal just a few steps faster, there is the chance I could have been in his place or landed that blow earlier.
My elbow hurts. The burns on my arms sting worse than anything I've felt before. It's all a trifling matter compared to the fate suffered by the Inquisitor's Confessor. Gods watch over him in Elysia.

Hospital rounds. Pensions for the families. Budgets. Reports of agues and the thousand little things that happen with refugees.
I found time to drink with friends and support a duel which wasn't over something stupid as so many are.
I made a gift to Jayus and helped purify his temple.
I confirmed a nightmare or two and added a few more to my ever expanding repertoire. Every time I think 'well, that's the worst thing I've ever seen' something comes along to try to break that record. Won't be the last time that title gets challenged, but I don't think this, as bad as it was, is it.

Larissa showed me around 'The Holy Knights of Solace Home For Wayward Souls And Temporary Shelter' (in case you forgot what the non-tongue-in-cheek name for it was) today to check out the results of some of the fundraising drives the House has been putting on in the last several months. It's great to see all the potential we talk about during these events become actual, tangible construction you can walk inside and see and touch.
Hopefully from here on out things at the orphanage will only continue to get better.

Relationship Note on Calypso
I have never sat down for a real conversation with General Malvici until today. Granted, it was over a game of Conquer, which is a game I've spent years creating. If you like war simulators and read this, I welcome any and all challengers.
I like to think I gave the General a decent challenge, but in the end, she used a rather cunning tactic and completely routed my forces. And I thought I was doing so well after I captured Caith. Perhaps got a bit too greedy in attempting take over Setarco, and she pushed back my advances excellently. I had no choice but to admit defeat before she put her flag in Maelstrom.
It was a good and pleasant talk, and I find myself seeing a great deal in common between Navegant and Malvici. It's good to speak with a member of another house just as militant as my own. And I may incorporate some of the designs used in the building of Malvici Hall into our own. A highly defensible and battle-ready bulwark. Time will tell when I'll be able to break ground on that.
A good game and a good conversation, I can ask for no more.
