I will say this on sirens, coming home to my husband with tales of sirens certainly led to a very warm homecoming indeed. If I ever see that siren again and manage to resist the allure of her song, I think I shall have to thank her for inspiring such a devoted welcome. Admittedly, it was thinking of dear prince that carried my feet home. No wonder sailors are so drawn, her song called to mind all my favorite memories of the sea at it's most radiant. I can say for sure should I ever have to chose, I would chose Edain over the sea I've learned. It could have been the fear of Aunt Eirene slapping the back of my head and calling me a wanton idiot that kept me in check as well, admittedly.

His Red Serpent is huge. He is so very proud of it and does quite like to show it to me whenever he has the chance. I've even gotten to ride on it. I was suitably impressed. It's the best I've ever seen and I've seen a few. Would that all could see his Red Serpent and take a ride on it as well.

My glimmer of hope, my flicker of optimism. There are so many questions that I would ask you, but - oh - I have no wish to drown you in my overflowing curiosity. Over and over again, I run the questions through my mind - count them - and realize that I need to select a few. A couple. The most important ones to ask. In my mind and in my heart these two questions are the most crystal clear: how important are you to me? How can I help you the most? I would chance the answer to the first is: so very much. You are the presence of a hand held, a voice heard, and a smile felt.
From the past to the present, I have wondered; what do you see? Do you remember how I tried to push you away? I reflect on those mistakes. How that regret pains me so. I am glad that you have looked past my fears, and have taken the time for me -- thank you.

I will never forget the sound of that song. Haunting and beautiful all in one. It made me feel things I didn't think I was truly capable of.
Despite the distracting, alluring songs, I'm glad we were able to come to an agreement. No reports of further injury and no intense desires to return. Not immediately anyways, I'd still like to go back. I think that means it was a success.

The past few weeks I've poured over my maps I've constructed over my years scouting the Northlands, helping to plan with our allies to plot the course of Farhaven's newest military endeavor. The banners have been called, Vassals rallied, and to the snows we march once again.
The estate has been a tempest of activity in preparation, but even in the flurry I still only think what if I follow the example set?
Of the Spirits I ask send home only my axes, hang them in the Halls and carve my name upon the stone.
I am my father's daughter, one of Torrud's Brood, and I daresay I do not deserve the honor if he never was.

By his journals, Prince Victus seems most dedicated and devout. Having heard from the Seraph of the Palace of his words and deeds, there is a part of me that wishes the Faith had managed to claim him rather than his duties to his family. If his cousin is anything to go by, we would have gained a champion without equal.
