The Fun:
Musical chairs, you could win the chance to have our most illustrious and gracious Monarch, King Alaric, paint your portrait!
Lawn bowling, you could win a custom and exclusive perfume and cologne!
The Battle of the Sexes, you have the chance to win a fabulous trophy and an even MORE fabulous and exclusive figurine crafted by Master Magpie Grayhope!
Finally, of course, the grand prize, the draw for the Dragonweep ring!
I'm MOST curious over which sex will win the Battle, though, if I'm honest. Heavily suspect it will be the women, of course...

If someone wishes to go on a real hunt, I would be eager to show the world I can do as much.

It is like the hunt between a wolf pack and a group of deer. They will pick out the weak one because it is no longer favored by Petrichor. One must die, but the rest of the animals have a chance to flee
In this instance, the birds had no choice. Death behind them, death in front of them, death if they flew.
It is my personal belief that this is not how Petrichor would want a hunt or us to honor a hunt. If he wants men to hunt, then let us hunt upon the earth, stalking through the forests, not... lined up and ready to take aim at anything so panicked by the snarl of snapping jaws they throw themselves into the air...
But then, the rest of you didn't hear their panicked cries as they had no choice but to die.

I have been reading the messages from Demi, and I realize that I am going to miss some of your most tender - and frustrating moments as you toddle around like a adorably tiny tyrant. She tells me that you are beginning to gain independence, and that you favorite phrase is: "No! I do it." I hope that you will work through challenges with a quiet determination. I know that this is foolish thinking, because you are every inch our daughter - you will have outbursts of temper - frequently. I hope that develops into a verve to both admire and envy, that you become a fierce advocate to somehow make the world a kinder, more just place.
Love always,
Your Mother.

As for those with weapons, we've discovered one thing: They may end up corrupting you if you use them. I suggest you use caution if you've an ancient artifact.
I will now lament about not being there to find the griffin. That's been my life's work these last six months, trying to locate them... now I'm unsure of what to do or what my purpose is. Maybe I'll go wander into the mountains...

I'm starting to think my nautical metaphors need work. Such a disgraceful display.

How do I really let this lesson sink in? What did I do wrong? I can't remember if I misstepped, or even how well I did (I was assured that I did a rather nasty number of blows before he took me down. Hope they fucking hurt). No fear, no realization that all was lost, that I was about to die. I don't have any of that. Just a haze of emotion and darkness, and than hours... Days later? Gods how long was it? I woke, in agony. All that I had could have been lost in an instant. An instant that I cannot recall, a moment that to me never was. That is death, and it's far easier to cross over than I realized. Next time I hear something that big approach, I'm running and getting an army.
To Lord Silas, Lord Kaldur and Lady Olivia, I cannot recall what you did for me, but I'm certain I owe you all my life. I'm forever in all your debts.
