I had a discussion today with the King regarding openness and justice in his kingdom. The exact words I used to him were "Justice is not just unless it can survive the sunlight."
His answer was reasoned, and probably more satisfying to me than it would be if he just said agreed to my request. It gives me hope that my nephew's Arx will be more just than mine.

Leaving home again for another adventure. This time to Arx. Southport, I shall miss you not. You were Alice's home and she would have liked it if I were happy there in our home but you rejected me. Suspicion and scrutiny when I needed comfort and love. I'm a Malvici now, though, and out of respect to Alice, I will not dishonor those vows. Perhaps Southport will accept me when I make a name for myself in Arx. There is a Gyre invasion imminent. Surely there is need for young men of my means to be helping to protect our city.

I have never had my life threatened so many times in a single week.. I do rather wonder what I might have gotten myself into, though I have to say, I quite think it worth it. And at least the threats are all contingent upon things I don't actually intend anyway, so there's that.

So many things are changing again, soon I will be married the contracts were signed today. Soon I will be Countessa Titania Fireviper, I know this day would come but not in this way. But I am thankful for meeting Count Gailin, I look forward to becoming his wife. I have sat and I have prayed to Mangata and I will continue doing so, his shift sail for us and even if it looks grim we will make it through this. He was held off once before and we can do it again, h is not yet truely free so there is a chance we can make it through this, if he does become free then all is lost.

I am ever-thankful that House Sanna has such fine and merry allies and friends. Giant's Hall was filled with good drink and good conversation tonight. It made me feel more at ease in this city, even in these troubled times. Our fists remain strong and ready. Both figuratively and literally speaking.

Back in Arx after another trip home! And it seems like my uncle is in the city now too. Maybe we'll get some work done! The journey from Chevelle was rather uneventful- a little disappointing as I love events, but it's nice to have made it back in on piece. Also, it seems my cousin has finally married. Good for her! One last task to worry about!

It has been a week of mixed blessings. That my brother has returned to the city is a great relief, as I proved ill-prepared for the responsibility of the run of our House in a time of chaos and crisis with no one to lean on.
The search for my sister is ongoing, with many throwing in their support. At the same time, every initial investigation has yielded naught: nothing found on her ship, no clues within her possessions. Still, we go on in our effort, until she is returned to us.

Just when the shadows of the world seem to be ever-closing in, the brightest new - my brother has come from Farhaven! I was surprised Mother didn't send him with me, even before me, but perhaps there was more to settle before he could depart? Whatever the case, I'm so glad he's here. The outside child and the inside child, together again.
