I can also state with full confidence that my dog makes plenty of choices, some more aggravating and/or dangerous to my health than others.

Relationship Note on Belladonna
The matter is particularly curious because my instincts tell me that Count Duarte has done something in his life. That, through out all of it, there is at least one singular choice that he made that he is responsible for. I would imagine, for instance, that being ennobled is not something that was done to him without his consent. That it was, a choice he made, for which he is responsible. As for proof, I would like to submit to the scholars the fact that I keep writing "Count" in front of Duarte Amadeo.
Yet, as I sit here and write, I can't help but question the very reality of all of this. Perhaps Duarte's ennoblement was done TO him. Perhaps it's proof of nothing at all! Perhaps Duchess Belladonna is correct, and Count Duarte is not responsible for anything. Or, at the least, there's no proof that his deeds are his own.
But I think we'll need to pull the Archlector of Choice into the mix, to determine if the good Count has free will or not.
Or, is it the Archlector of Petrichor, to inform us if puppy dogs can choose?

For the strange white records, I endorse the words of Marquessa Dominique Wyrmguard regarding the events of the Grotto this morning. I think there is a misunderstanding that the duel is being fought on my behalf or in my honor. This is incorrect. If I wish to fight someone, I will tear their eyes from their skulls with my own fingers.
You see Vano? It's not my fault this time.

What has he done to be held responsible for, and is there proof?

Today, someone has written that Count Duarte Amadeo would be "fully responsible for what happens" to himself.
I question, dear scholars, if Count Duarte has ever been partially responsible for what happens to himself, let alone fully. Perhaps if one of you all have time, you could investigate?

It's easy to forget that -my- Crafters Guild isn't the -only- one, until certain situations occur that requires one or the other or all of them to reach out in droves. I suspect I'll never get used to it, the intricacies of trade, but then I hope I don't either. It's much too fascinating, a different kind of puzzle to solve.
If you've need of me between now and a few days hence [OOC: I leave Saturday for about a week, with intermittent possible log ins from the road], I suggest working your way into my schedule now.

Mistress Mirari, would you care to attend the Pravus Spring Ball with me?
