Relationship Note on Kahlana
One of what I call my honored guests. For customers are not just customers they are guests in my shop and in honored ones have sought my expertise and creativity to bring them the image they have not fully realized in what they want to be made. Kahlana is a very forthright and from that has no hesitation in the idea of what is needed to be done and what she will need to get that done. May she be an honored guest for a very long time.

The Emporium...
A new venture has begun an expansion of my skills and where I take my future and what it will bring. The New shop is far more accessible to all of Arx and with the services I'll be offering and with them only becoming better overall... The idea of full sets of armor alone from head to toe with cloaks and belts. Already that plan has begun and I am seeing the first customers come into and ask for that very thing. This will be one thing that I will leave as my legacy... Now to find those that will like to join me in this venture and reap the benefits along with me.
To sea, to silver and what my gaze sets its sight upon....

I am writing this so that in times to come in the future they'll know of these things, as Vellichor likes.
The other day, I saw a cave dragon as I call it. It was like a dragon, but it didn't have any wings and it came out of the ground where it was living in a tunnel as I understand it. It stands to reason that it's a cave dragon and it doesn't have wings because it doesn't need them.
It was eating a Bringer, which is good to know. If the cave dragons were on the side of Brand that would be even worse. It also attacked other folk and made a building collapse so I wouldn't say it's a good thing to have cave dragons around, but maybe someone can tame them or talk to them.
I helped fight the Bringers and didn't attack the dragon. It didn't attack me either, other than making a building fall down on top of me, so maybe if other folk hadn't attacked it first it would've left them alone, I wouldn't know. But if it likes to eat Bringers, I'd rather have it as an ally than not.

Relationship Note on Armel
I met Sir Armel for the first time recently, just before his elevation to Grandmaster. He strikes me as more of a kindred spirit than I expected; another who yearns to see what might be over that hill, or down the next road. And the truth is, our purposes along those roads are no longer so disparate as they might be; once it was curiosity that motivated me, but now there's a greater motive in finding the lost information of the world.
He'll be a good Grandmaster; he has my congratulations, and also my condolences.

Relationship Note on Lark
Scrupulous and shrewd, these are not negative terms in regard to the High Lord of House Grayson. Not to me. I worked with her loosely during my time in service to the King's Own and to her cousin, King Alaric Grayson IV. During that time I discovered that Princess Lark is both of these things, but much more. Now however I play the role of a vassal of House Bisland, who in turn is a vassal of House Grayson. The High Lord of Grayson gifted myself with a belt in recognition of my marriage to the Marquessa of House Deepwood. It conveyed a clear message and it is one which I appreciate.

Unexpectedly, I've been getting some recognition from people for the song I wrote, and even some I didn't. I tried to be discrete with it, didn't sign my name to the songs or anything. Guess I felt like people would like the songs more if they didn't know where it came from, but they like it anyway. I should probably just be happy, but it feels really awkward.

Relationship Note on Thesarin
One of the vassals of my House, I've come to understand him as a rather blunt individual. There is little room for beating around the bush and more often than not he could be considered a little rough around the edges. He reminds me of some others that I know and have come to trust the judgment of purely because they will speak their mind, when it needs to be spoken. The fact that he makes his delivery of speaking his mind in a humorous manner only tends to lighten the blow of what he may have to say.

Only recently have I taken the opportunity to get to know the Grandmaster of the Guild of Champions. She presents herself as a formidable warrior and I've no doubt such presentation is accurate. I've met many a warrior in my lifetime, from the Oathlands to Arx, and more often than not they're in possession of far more brawn than brain. I'm thankful to discover that Lady Niamh seems to be an exception to such a rule.

The Duke is as jovial and pleasant as I remember! Diddanwch is as rascally and adorable as ever, though I feel there was some rebuke in his greeting for being gone so long. I shall have to make it up to him with a treat.
Now where to spread my furs... there was that small copse of trees in the ward. What? What did I say? Have you never spent a night out under the stars, scholar? You should consider it, you are as pale as the snowcaps on the mountains back home. Some sunshine might do you good!

There are times when I am humbled by the beauty of the world, and the heart and kindness of its people. Under grave conditions, the men and women of Arx have risen and held themselves with courage and honor. Some have died, others have suffered, but none have broken. Yes, there have been offenses - grave and terrible offenses - committed, but they are by far the minority. Many have banded together to heal and help, to guide and guard. The bravery and compassion shown reminds me of the purpose of the Compact, and the place we stand under the gods' eyes - why we are worthy to help to protect the Dream.
For as long as I breathe, I will hope. And may we never fall to despair.

The death of Lazarus is very, very unnerving... I'm not even sure where to start? I mean, he was changing loyalties to the Velenosa. If it comes to light that the Grayson had him murdered... And what if someone else had him murdered but wanted the Grayson blamed for it? What if it was a rival merchant, or, even worse, someone on the inside? No matter how this plays out, something terrible will come of this.
