I find myself perusing the whites this morning in vague amusement to find my dear cousin, in his usual manner, has had his dry wit fail to inspire. You must become better at who you aim it at, Niklas. Otherwise it leaves a sour taste.
With that said he sent me a hat. It is a bit floppy. And...it has an E on it. I am not entirely sure how I can wear it. There is just...so much hair. I wear fascinators. But for today...for breakfast. At least he remembered me. That was an unexpected surprise. Not only that, but Princess Sabella also sent me a lovely gift. I may or may not save it for a special occassion.

Princess Tikva sent a beautiful lute over, which I of course proceeded to play at once, much to my audience's great joy.
And by audience I mean Danior, whose artistic sensibilities so overtook him that he tried to play himself. With his claws. Thankfully, while my heart soars with approval for the little feline's aspirations, I did put the lute back in its case.
I suppose having a kitten means I need to be more diligent in putting away my instruments properly.

As an aside, things got a little out of control when I was making a gavel warmer for my sister and I have several dozen extra, so if anyone needs any little knit nooks perfectly sized for a small wooden hammer, let me know.

Just remember - her messenger, the thing that brought this to me? IS A SQUIRREL. Not just a squirrel. Like the PRINCESS of squirrels or something! And Lady Kenna had her bring me THIS! -from the skin of her messenger critter's own people-.

Fashioned together from many many small skins that are definitely not bear (they look like squirrel), this rug is a patchwork mosaic of fluff and stitching. It lays mostly flat, but only because it's been stepped on a great deal. Still, it has it's own sort of charm with all the matted down fur and stretched outlines of flattened rodents.
