It was an amazing night, one which I would love to attempt again.

The shear number that fought bravely within the melee contest was almost overwhelming. There were several moments in which I was sure that I would be knocked out or pushed from the ring. The winds were upon my back and sought that bells were to stay. My glaive saved me more times than I can count.

Is it spring yet? I do not want to wish my life away, but I long for warmer weather.

That said, this hot chocolate is delicous.

Made it back to the Kay today on the morning tide. Was glad to see Ian with all his limbs still attached. No telling where Catalana and Evander have gotten off to.

Who knew there were so many ways to spend coin for charity? So many charities. So much need. It is a mite overwhelming.

I decided to make a chain or a brigadine dress. I figure plate would just be /too/ stiff. I should also add gems! Perhaps it would be two pieces as a single piece would be heavy to put on. Perhaps it can be a combination of the two? I am still unsure of what metal to craft it in. Honestly, I would love to make it in diamondplate, but who has that kind of money? I don't. Though, it would shimmer and just be so beautiful to look upon. I have the image in my head, but planning it and implementing the idea in practice will be difficult. Though, I hope to make an entire set of this fashionable set by summer. Perhaps I will make it of cupridium and use the very sun itself as inspiration. Maybe I could make enough money to purchase the materials to craft a diamondplate one for next winter! Oh that would be beautiful.

I can't help but to notice that crime has increased in the Lowers. There is more theft. There are more fires. There are more fights and general thuggery. Thing is, the folk of the Lowers don't typically do this to themselves. So, I am beginning to feel that it is something different. Something trying to cause strife amongst the denizens of the Lowers. I will get to the bottom of it. I will likely have to punch in a few teeth if my suspicions are correct.

So I have decided to search for an apprentice. Pass on the knowledge that Felix bestowed upon me. Though, smithing whether it be working in weapons, jewelry, or armor is rather hard work. So, I honestly don't have a long line of people out my door seeking apprenticeship. I seek to better my craft, but have hit a wall. I am going to have get more creative in my endeavors to improve further. Perhaps I should start looking outside of Arx for help. This could be fun!

Productive week. Messengers sent out about some House matters, just need the season to change.

Excellent meeting as well in the Stacks, trying to piece together a cryptic story.

What's the Queen's Blade?

It's a question I get asked a lot, Scholar, especially just recently. It's a position, it's a responsibility, it's a duty and a freedom and a trust. I have to set some stuff aside in order to be a good Harlequin, and I have to take on other stuff. It's hard to explain, but the Queen's Blade can do things that Raymesin Ulbran can't - and Raymesin Ulbran can do stuff the Queen's Blade can't. Insulting silks, for instance. That's something the Queen's Blade can't do, but Raymesin Ulbran can.

I had the opportunity to attend a gathering at rivenshari and watch children at play. in the course of events, two young sisters got into an argument. their parent gently corrected them and after a few tense moments, the girls apolologized and joined hands to go skating. If only adult disagreements could be resolved so simply

It was a pleasure to visit telmar tower and have individuals from across the realm gather to share news. It was nice to see Lady Tesha and duchess Isabeau again and my dear fried Marquis Cahal has returned to the city

Shattered one of my best teacups upon an Oathlander within an attempt to ride a horse. The horse is back to pulling the cart for market hauls.
Still confused by something said about the shop having been burned to the ground.
What exactly happened as I was away?

Relationship Note on Caspian

I have known Caspian since I first came to the city, it feels like forever and a day ago now.
I had many things going on when I came to the city and never got to truely sit down to get to know him and in that I do have regrets about. But here recently it seems that we have found the time to sit and talk and I am thankful for it. I have found a friend that I did not know I had. Every time I sit and speak with him, he truly amazes me.

Soon spring will be upon us.

I will miss the snow.

I will miss the ice.

I will miss the cold.

I don't mind spring too much. It is at least bearable.

It is summer though that becomes unbearable to me. One can only shed so many clothes off before it becomes indecent.

At least with winter you can bundle to be warm. Find a warm body, fire or drink.

Maybe I need to look at the seasons coming more critically.

Will one of the bovine lovers open a bar called "The Tipsy Cow" already?
And put a cattle bell over the door?
And serve cocktails based on milk?
And cover the seats with cow hide?
There. Pitched to the realm.

I'd open a dog lover bar but I'm already committed to bees.
