I have come to Arx at my father's discretion. I have never visited the city before, Escuma was home for me. I was much more at home along the coast of my homeland than I am with the constant bustling and energy of Arx.
No ill will given to the city, I'm sure it has it's upsides, but I can only assume my father has brought me here in an attempt to marry and add numbers to our already small house. If it is duty, I accept it, but I would rather have a purpose here beyond just that.
Still, I will see what happens. Perhaps something more worthwhile than that will develop for me. One can only hope.

Not all warriors fight with swords, and I sometimes think the scholars who array themselves against darkness and lost knowledge with their wits have the more difficult task. The priestess Gisele and I are different sorts of women, but I have found her to be brave and stalwart and warm of spirit. Not to mention very, very smart, which I need oftentimes. I am proud and happy to call her my friend.

The Arvum Refugee group was established by Hadrian Malvici in order to help coordinate the relief efforts for the hundreds of thousands displaced by Brand's war on Arx and the Compact. It is a noble effort, and one that I personally think will not only aid in the social welfare of all these poor souls, but also is an opportunity for us to grow and become stronger as a people.
As such, in my position as Grandmaster of the Knights of Solace, I have pledged my support wholeheartedly. The Knights of Solace will provide escort and protection for those who are moving to resettle in other House lands. Let it be known by all that these people are under my protection, and any harm that comes to them while they travel in peace and commit to crimes against the people of the Compact? Is an assault on the Knights themselves, and will be treated as such.

It is always a tricky situation being a silk and being on the Iron Guard, I have been in the lowers and I have felt the eyes on me. I wish in some way I could make them see that not every Silk is a asshole and does not care. This is more then likely something that will not happen, but I do hope in time they will come to see that I care about all in the city not just myself.

We have yet to fight the real things that come to snuff the life from Arvum. We must begin to cast aside our difference as division is their strategy it must become our rallying cry.
Arvum needs butchers -- yet it needs them within the context of what the common core of the Compact can agree upon. I concede this in my prayers for wisdom.

It is around the anniversary of when I came to Arx almost, and decided to open up shop here to sell my wares. I didn't think when I came, that I'd be a member of the Iron Guard, or fighting Brand's Army in the siege. So much has changed. Still, life takes us on different paths at times. We all have the Choice to choose which direction we wish. Amazing isn't it. Remembered Gods, and it's something to say when that isn't the most /curious/ thing to have happened while here.
