Relationship Note on Luis
My rapscallion brother, sometimes an unmerciful tease whose goal in life seems to be trying to make me blush or shock me, not that I don't try to hold my own with the bantering exchanges that he often wins. He is not hurtful or mean, more that he worries I tend to get too lost in music or duties to just live life and tries to pull me into it. Sometimes that creates awkward moments, even a little jealousy of each other, but he's got my back just as I have his, or try to.

It comes to mind that there are many fine taverns in Arx, each with their own unique flavor and selection of beverages. I would like to propose an evening of visiting said taverns, so each may rightfully claim 'The King Drank Here'. Should this be to your liking, I will arrange it with the commander of the King's Own so it may be done.

With the lighthouse finished at the Barony I am quite proud of the project. It was a grand idea and I think will be a site to behold for any people traveling to Whitefrost, in the generations to come. A welcoming sight to any sailor at the least.

Relationship Note on Valencia
I had a lovely dance with Princess Valencia at the little party I put together - of which I am so glad she decided to attend. I confess we have not really spent much time together before, but every time I have been in her presence, she has always been so gracious and so delightful. It is no wonder anyone who knows her has nothing but nice things to say. I shall have to visit her Hart more often.

You know, considering I almost killed him the first time we met, it still startles me how much I like this man. I sincerely hope he doesn't follow the path of his predecessor but I suspect he won't. Arx is well served by its Master of Questions, and I have confidence that the Inquisition is headed in a much better direction. Even if he does have a tendency to blindside me with information. I suppose that's part of his job, but if this keeps up I'm going to peace-tie my sword before taking so much as a meeting with him.

I write this because I got some concerned letters, and I can assure that between Lady Brigadier Eirene Malvici's deft touch and Princess Eleyna Velenosa's keen mind, I was safe and the poison quickly neutralised.
The wound wasn't too bad, and is healing. Per Princess Eleyna's advice, I am taking lots and lots of chamomile and mint tea. I sometimes still get the twinges of pain, but I am not dying. As someone said on the battlefield - "she talks to much to be dying".
Thank you. I can laugh about that now.
And I admit, I had a good vantage point to hear High Lord Edain exchange his vows with Princess-Consort Caelis.

Relationship Note on Fortunato
How does a Grayson befriend a Grayhope? Through a misunderstanding, a wrong assumption, and a presumed case of mistaken identity. Wonderful little story that I won't go into detail on. Not only am I rather happy to formally become his patron, I'm quite proud to support his future works. His skill at evoking emotion through his paintings cannot be denied - nor, in my mind, surpassed.

A reflection on reflections
Standing in the shrine of the Thirteenth, taking in the daunting, powerful, terrifying surroundings, my mind began to clear. Staring at my reflection and the reflections of those who came to sit with me, I began to see.
We can’t know courage with out fear.
We can’t be strong with out feeling weak.
We can’t feel happy having never been sad.
We can’t recognize good with out seeing evil.
