I spoke recently with a friend at court who was having some trouble attracting a lady.
They do not want to speak with me for long, just some polite conversation and then rejection, he said.
I suggested he take a medium sized yam and place that in his pants, and see if that does not change his luck.
He came to me in a rage, pointing at his pants and saying my suggestion had only made things worse!
Now the ladies at court would not talk to him at all!
My dear friend, I said laughing, you are meant to place the yam in the FRONT of your pants!

It has been a long time since I've been home.
The conditions upon us now were never what I imagined when I stepped back into the Silken City, but I am no seer.
I know fear as well as anyone, even in this. I have faith in the Gods, but know better than to expect that faith prolongs life or safety.
So I am going home, and whatever else comes of it I will have seen it again once more.

I had the most wonderful of days today. To be reunited with my dearest and sweetest and most beloved sister is.... everything. Everything I could have wanted.
Now, if only I could get her to put her weapon down for a moment and come talk with me! There is so much to catch up about and I am impatient to do it.

I've prepared myself.....sent my letters....and spent time with those close to me. Now with my departure near, I can't help but feel at ease. I've done all I can to prepare my mind and body. My only other order I've received is to come back to Arx.

Darkwater Watch behind a fog and essentially abandoned. I didn't expect this when we first set out to evacuate the non-military population... but then again, I didn't expect that stuff to cocoon the entire island. Now I'm left wondering if the Watch will be warped along with the rest of the deeps. The Redoubt is well stocked, and the people there by all accounts still holding, though.
The north and south taking the fleets head on, I did expect. I'm expecting creatures we haven't seen before in this war.
For myself... if you want Arx to be protected, I'm open to help.

I still do not know what to do. This city is a trial I think, Gloria tests me, but Limerance is true. It makes it difficult.
