Mistress Valery is a fine teacher, and while our students may admittedly be different, I'm sure the principles will translate just fine. She's also a very skilled gardener, and the teas she brews are quite extraordinary.

The party for High Lord Thrax was quite enjoyable, I had a lot of fun. Prince Barric is incredibly kind and sweet. And the sea food was delicious.

Interesting week this week. Got to actually meet the King. In a library of all places. I think if I were to tell anyone these two things they would immediately not believe me because I wasn't in a bar or on one of my ships. I'm hoping I can get him over to Keaton Hall for dinner with our Count and Countess sometime soon and maybe see if he would be willing to help support my project of building a river port outside of Oakhaven. Also need to begin looking for other outside support too so that trade routes can be established over more than just land. Its going to be a long project, but one I think that will be interesting.

Lumen has won a sort-of commission from me. I’ve never really done a commission, and even though she only gets to select a theme for the painting, I’m still nervous.
Also did I hear someone trying to buy Priorities of a Marquessa? I can’t hardly believe it. Will that be my legacy? I’m horrified.

Khan. A new dog I have taken mastership over since joining with the Blades. He's a smart beast, but there are times when I wonder if he's just too big. He blunders into everything trying to play, knocking over a few of my armor stands down in the shop.

I've officially joined with the Crimson Blades. I am going to be operating under a support role as animal trainer, medic, and leather armor smith, but still it is a step that I had not been sure that I would take at first. We'll see how it goes.

Business at Spirit Leather
It has been surprising the amount of work that I have received at the shop. I am eternally grateful to those who have come and entrusted me with their orders and given me the chance to prove myself as a crafter. I had not foreseen this life for myself even a year ago, but I am thankful for the direction that my life has gone. I have created and sold one full set of high quality leathers, and have a mask on order for someone else. The Crimson Blades will be sending me their work as well. I can already see that I will be very busy.

I cannot overstate my delight, gratitude and pride at how well the Eidolon Gallery opening went. The gallery was graced with esteemed guests and all engaged in curious and compelling conversations about the art itself, some who found it provocative, others who thought it weird. That it inspired such diverse responses pleases me so deeply, the discussions which come from viewing such works are the entire purpose for putting them on display.
Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with me, to everyone who participated in the raffle, to everyone who risked unsettled sleep to take in the strange and wonderful works of some of Arvum's finest artists.
The gallery will remain open now; all are welcome to come visit at their leisure. Artists interested in having their work--whatever form it takes--shown in the gallery, whether as part of a brief exhibition or the permanent collection, are encouraged to contact me.
