Many may know that for quite some time, I was followed around by a very large bear named Fuzzy Wuzzy.

Unfortunately, I recently had to return him to Farhaven for a few reasons. You see, Fuzzy Wuzzy.. was a bear. Fuzzy Wuzzy had quite a lot of hair. And apparently certain women frown upon sharing the bed with a large and intimidating companion that is as handsome as he is dangerous.

Fuzzy Wuzzy was very fuzzy, yes he was.

Remember my companion.

The King's wedding was very well done. The Queen looked stunning and the King looked very much alive and well.

Of course, I was lucky enough to have the most beautiful woman in all of Arvum on my arm. So I call the entire thing a huge success.

When I was younger, i used to sit and watched my mother bend steel to her will. Her face covered in sweat, her muscles moving in a hypnotic motion as she through her hammer down. She bent a little bit of the world to her will ever day, It was a beautiful thing to watched. She took less funds from clients, so I could be trained in different weapons. She realized that I didn't have the dexterity to do what she did, or maybe she thought I didn't have the strength to bend the world to my will. On days like this, I hope it is is the former.

SURPRISE!

Happy birthday, Reigna.

I cannot put into words how much this day has meant to me. I cannot thank those that have come out to celebrate with us enough. It means more than you shall ever know.

My deepest thanks and gratitude go out to all the people (and spiders) of Arvum who attended the royal wedding of Queen Symonesse and I, but even moreso to those worked so hard behind the scenes to prepare every banner, every bouquet, every decoration and refreshment that made our day so very special and one that will last long in the annals of our great Compact. Your names may not be known to anyone beyond your family and friends, but your King has seen the incredible results of your tireless effort and knows that such fantastic splendor does not simply appear out of nothing.

Winter's flakes herald your entry
For a beauty that shines for all seasons.
Healer's touch and kinder sentry
Are just one of the many valued reasons
Your birth should be celebrated.

Princess Alarissa even managed I think to make it around to all the tables at the party. Considering the sheer number of nobles there, that's quite an accomplishment.

I think the party went brilliantly. Having a bit of spring brought during a time of winter was quite inspired. I love the lantern party favors. Overall my sister, Monique, and Princess Alarissa should be proud of their accomplishment.

I don't know what Lycene woman started the apparent tradition of Lycene women running the Gauntlet in dresses (and heels?), but they have my respect. I may have to try at some point. When I need the extra challenge.

I frequently find the Gauntlet challenging enough on its own.

Perhaps it is a long time coming, but I cannot wait for us to be married. You have showed me what true strength and loyalty are, you have proven yourself to be not only a gentleman, but an absolute beast when you take the field. I look forward to watching you grow in your new role as Duke of Tor and I know in my heart my people will adore you as much as I.

Relationship Note on Alaric

My first friend when I arrived to the City of Arx. You welcomed me so warmly then. Admittedly, we were much different people. I was nervous to see your face again, nervous to hear your voice, but the moment I stepped into the Garden, you reassured me. While I was unable to attend your wedding, I wish you nothing but absolute joy. If there is anyone who deserves a spot of light in their life, it is you.

And so the months of planning brought to fruition, side by side with the Lady Greenmarch. The end result was far better than I could have imagined within my own minds eye. Save for dinner, I do not think I stayed sitting long enough that to greet and move along. To see all that white, to imagine as if I were above and looking down and see the glittering throng of all those different shades of such, moving against the green of the grass. To see houses interacting with one another, to see...

To see everyone and to know that I have not lost this. That we have not lost the opportunity to grasp merriment in the face on an oncoming storm. It is a memory that will hold us strong, I am sure. That if we can bring the summer day, inside and in the dead of winter, what else could we do if we put effort.

I am grateful to those who attended. I am grateful to those who helped to make my vision come to truth. To the crafter of the stars who felt the touch of Jayus, to Gild for the inspiration of hospitality that kindles within me. To Petrichor, for the will of the flowers to make their journey so that they could share with us their scent.

I weep with joy, that I could do this, for all of Arx, for Arvum.

And because of such, I have decided that I will do this again in the coming years. Only next year, not white.

The royal wedding was most splendid, of course, as it should be -- but I confess that I was worried, nevertheless, that somehow, some way, something terrible would happen to ruin it. It's been so long since the Crown has been in peace and confident hands; the skill of Duke Gabriel as Regent was and is impressive, of course, but no Regent can compare to a King that demonstrates wisdom and growth of character.

I give thanks to the Gods and to their servants who have labored to bring this course of events about -- thank you, all of you, whomever you are. I rejoice that my daughters, at least for these days, know peace.

I have noticed that journals in Arx seem to go through phases. Where, a theme seems to come across and a vast majority of journals written at that time pertain to such. I remember a time where love was discussed, and this is the.. third time, perhaps? That I remember puns being the go-to thing. There are times when poetry is popular. Other times it seems the thing to do is make passive aggressive swipes at one another that are perhaps thought to be veiled, but come across plain as day. Then there are the contests, such as the animals. I would write about Serenity... but she is a calm bird, unless she is going in for the kill (or delivering a note, but I do hope she does so with grace and calm so as not to startle those who receive missives from me in this manner). But now, it seems, some people have taken to sending off sketches to the scholars to record. They's been cute, I have to say.

I wonder if I should start painting my art for the journals instead of weaving words. I keep most of my artwork hidden away... Hmm, things to ponder.

I too attended the dinner party of white. The decor was lovely. Magical even. I attended in further effort to put myself back out there, stop being a hermit... yada yada... I was probably still far more quiet than most, and couldn't bring myself to join the busier tables, despite my desire to speak with Prince Fergus and Princess Marian some more. Still, I was blessed to have good conversation with some others; namely Lady Aislin and the Count and Countess Keatons. I think both conversations give me hope to speak to them each again in the future.

I received thank yous from both Princess Alarissa and Lady Monique. That was a pleasant surprise. I must say, Princess Alarissa is the epitome of grace and manners, at least in public. I was disappointed I did not get a chance to speak to her at the party, but she did try to speak to all that she could. They both hosted a fun evening for us all.

It still feels strange to be in the Valardin Ward... I hope in time it will be less so. I am haunted by memories every time I step foot on their grounds. Time heals, they say... I can only hope so.

It seems that a new season is upon us -- in more ways than one.

I have attended the wedding of His Majesty, King Alaric IV, to the princess, Symonesse. In truth, it is the first time I have laid eyes on one of her kind and yet I see a kinship slowly being built between them and the Arvani. Their marriage joins two people -- not only man and wife, but the Arvani and the Nox'alfar, the shattered trust between mended like a broken sword remade. If forged well and true, it will not break but instead hold strong, able to be wielded as a great weapon in defense of the Compact in whole. It is long and arduous work, but Riven knows that well. Our house and its future has been built from the same sacrifice, the same shared purpose. I pray to all the gods that the King and Queen find at least as much value in their match. Perhaps more, if Limerance smiles kindly upon them.

Relationship Note on Valerio

An interesting man to say the least. His dedication to duty is admirable and he's able to maintain an unprecedented level of professionalism all the while. He wears his history on his body it would seem and a tale full of torrid details. There's a part of me, deep down, that wants to advise him to move more frequently while he's fighting.
