Relationship Note on Denica

Denica is straight forward and direct- two things I find really, really refreshing. While our meetings have been brief, I find myself looking forward to the next one.

(And because I'm sure she'll read this, I should -probably- say something about how lovely she is. Oh wait, I suppose I just did.)

Relationship Note on Denica

Thank you for the fantastic work on the sketch you did. I only had a description and you turned words into something far more beautiful than they could conjure. Your work will lay the groundwork for the painting that will come of the sketch. You have my deepest appreciation.

Relationship Note on Joscelin

I was there when the discussion between Master Oliver and Guildmaster Joscelin started.

She can be scary.
Him too.

Relationship Note on Corban

*A shaky sketch of a dark haired man; amidst a jump over some low hurdles. There's a fierce expression on his face; though his lips are slightly curled upward.*

Relationship Note on Alarissa

*A shaky sketch of a fair haired woman, dressed in armor with her hair up; she's climbing up what appears to be a wood and rock wall. A determined expression on her face.*

Relationship Note on Joscelin

I'm pleased that the Guildmaster and I could finally see eye-to-eye about the loan and interest. I imagine her change of heart had something to do with the present I left in her shop. From what I understand, she was so overjoyed to see herself depicted in wood that she shouted for at least twenty minutes at the scholars.

Relationship Note on Orazio

I have met Orazio a few times. He seems to be very fervent about serving the faith, and besides him seeming to not smile much, he does actually smile. He also can really make people listen when he wants them to.

Adam asked me today that there were some interesting white journals to read today. Something about coin and interest rates. I find that I have not been disappointed. So my advice is this:

Will you two just get a room and get it over with already?

I'll even pay for it.

I may be slightly ashamed to admit that I am amused by this exchange between the lovely Guildmaster Joscelin, and a person I do not know by the name of Oliver. I only barely know Joscelin (though I wish I knew her better) but know that going against her takes some brass ..uh, gumption. I'll keep it clean.

All in all though, it makes me curious to see the crafting abilities of this Oliver, which is to say... the battle of beginning funds has certainly served as publicity.

Perhaps soon he will be too busy working on commissions to remember this little financial dance.

You can make scones for me, Joscelin. The Spirits do not tend to ask for money.

Relationship Note on Oliver

WELL-MADE EFFIGIES OF MYSELF IN LESS-THAN-FLATTERING HUMOR DOES NOT COUNT AS A NOTE OF PROMISE.

But it is well made. I like how you made it shiny on my chin like I'm frothing at the mouth. Your talents are wasted on such trinkets.

Relationship Note on Edward

His story is a fascinating one. I am always inspired by those who work hard for what they have. Even when one inherits holdings, money, what have you, it takes a special kind of person to see those gifts grow. I truly think Baron Edward has the ambition needed to take his circumstances and turn them in to something strong.

In the event anyone reading this receives any funds they do not want and never asked for, as a priest of the Faith I recommend making a donation of those funds to the good works of the Faith of the Pantheon. Instead of paying back what is not intended as a loan, pay it forward, and those who receive the benefit of Gild's charity will be enriched. Along with, of course, your spiritual well being.

You can't stop others from doing what they will, but you can control your own choices.

Relationship Note on Joscelin

You do not need to understand me, to understand that the money will be repaid. I am not even sure why this is still an argument, if the Guild 'always gets it's money back and then some'. All I will be doing is putting the money where your mouth is and making you good on your word.

Though I believe his Grace has the right of it. Except, I'll settle at 45%. The extra is for the angry scribbling.

Relationship Note on Oliver

There will be no bets on this! This ridiculous person is turning down a something I freely give to any of the Crafters that need it: a fresh beginning! The Guild is always paid back in full and then some, -always-!

It isn't a loan! There is no interest! I will not accept it!

I'm writing to the Bank -right now- to keep such repayment foolishness from happening.

<the scribbles get violent again>

<illegible until->

-and that's it!

To those of you reading the exchanges between our Guildmaster and this Oliver Coldrain with amusement, I am predicting that Interest on that loan makes it to 35% before this is done.

Any takers?
