The myths we only thought were myths are often horrible. Has been pleasant to see myths that are not horrible, although these myths are in peril. Targets. We see them leave. They may die once we can no longer see them.

But anyone can die. My job is to keep that from happening. Much as possible.

Nice to be doing a custom set of armor again, after the more frivolous things I have been making.

I got a chance to meet Princess Donella and Prince Kieran and they seem so very nice. It was a pleasure to meet them both!

I also got to meet Lady Clara. Mistress Clara? Sorry if I got that wrong, so much information and I am trying to do to many things at once. Also another pleasant person to have a chance to speak to.

We have recently come to Arx and I find it to be very interesting. I cannot wait to explore it more. I spoke to Master Aksel who agreed to show me around. I am not sure if he realized I like going on adventures with someone and not because I am unsure of adventuring on my own. It is ok he will see very soon. I do hope he likes adventures!!

Challenges have no place when out on the field and campaign. We are allies. Act like it and swallow pride. My view as I write here at night. I worry for Killian. I will talk to the man. If I am not allowed to be the reckless fool, neither is he. Do not think I missed you sister, I will get to you next.

My return to the city has for the most part been smooth. My family will retain its close ties where we should, serve honorably under House Laurent, and be a guiding hand for the newly-appointed Count and Countess of House Keaton. They have an heir forthcoming, which is great news. I also met with my brother, now the Marquis of House Deepwood, whom I know will grow to be close to our family. I even have a young niece or nephew soon to arrive and could not be more happy.

Everyone else is securing their heirs it seems. To the point where I even give it thought. In due course I do intend to build the future of House Lyonesse and build it well.

But the truth remains that I am young and have many victories yet to see to, many worthy soldiers depending on me. Make no mistake that leading even the finest warriors has risk. Every time I ride onto the battlefield or give an order, despite every calculation I make, it could all go wrong. But I know in my heart that my siblings will take up the mantle, should ever I fall.

If I do, I can only hope it is with glory enough that my family and the whole of the Oathlands would be proud.

Relationship Note on Reigna

Reigna and Kael (I hope it is not a bad thing that I didn't put your titles first)

I can not express to you how grateful I am for how you helped me the other night. When we came back from releasing the spirit of it's duty you helped heal me. I know we've only met twice and you have welcomed me into your home as if I were an old friend or a family member.

Thank you for that, you two are both very kind souls. Reigna your ability to heal is also very welcomed. Thank you for it!

Kael I look forward to more discussions with you and Reigna about different things.

Again thank you for opening your home to me when I needed it.

Firstly I am glad that we got the armband off of Gaston.

Secondly Gaston: If you ever put a random piece of jewelry from an enchanted forest and put it on again I am going to slap you with my sword I swear to the Gods!

We laid to rest a spirit who was a guardian of a forest and it was with a heavy heart to have to do such a thing. This person gave his life to be a guardian in this forest for Petrichor. Decisions like this should never be easy and it wasn't but it still angers me that someone would chop everything up and that they destroyed all of that sacrifice and that work for trinkets.

I also understand that they felt that they had no options left but I just..I just feel that there were options and they couldn't see it.

My heart is just heavy for this entire situation. Nothing about it was black or white. Every moment was a choice and we did the best that we could each time we had to make a choice. I hope that the Gods, Old Gods and the Spirits understand our choices and understand that all we wanted to do was protect the Forest for Petrichor.

It was a huge thing to see this spirit and to help release him. To thank him for the sacrifice that he gave. I hope he understood the thanks we gave to him.

In times of chaos, the best laid plans can go awry.

However, it should be noted, that in times of chaos, the best laid plans must often change. We do not know what actions will be taken towards us at every move, or the motivation behind them. We must adapt for the well being of the party, as well as the mission.

As was discovered, not all could be saved. We all did what we could, what we had to. We should all hold that knowledge close. We helped those that we could.

Ah, to give birth and leak from everywhere. No sleep. Mewling, defenseless, endearing giant hairless voles that depend on me to survive. And lactating, lactating on everything. Such memories.

I can honestly say I'm happy Leta can't father children on me. Those years are past, the chapters closed.

Doesn't stop the woman from trying, though.

I will admit things were far from ideal. It was a hard decision as things in any field are fluid. I stand by the Prince's decision, and accept the consequences since it was my arrow. After such event I regret nothing, and I will always defend my blood.

It has been two weeks now since we arrived in Arx, and I am still trying to get used to the city. To all of its twists and turns, and dead ends. All of which I find at times to be gods damned vexing. It is nothing like Stormheart or the frozen north. Nor the ice flows. All of which I miss. And the blistering cold weather.

Though I may miss and long for home, I will not allow that to stop us from our task. To serve the houses we have sworn ourselves too. As well as the Sea that we sail. And to support and better our clan and house.

In that light, we House Ravenseye, wish to assist House Thrax in whatever means we can. And in that regard, we have heard of what is going on in Darkwater and would like to offer our assistance in figuring out what is causing it and deal with it accordingly.

Oh my, I've neglected the journals so this week. Both in the reading and the writing. I beg forgiveness. The recent dramatic events occupy my time. I am distracted, writing my thoughts and recording my deeds not been foremost in mind.

I attended the charity event at Golden Hart to benefit House Thrax. They have so much to rebuild. Not everyone subscribes to northern wisdom. I, myself, remember it most as something like a fairy tale when I was little. But, with all my heart, I believe in the three fold law. The things we send out in this world come back to us threefold. I have not been a dutiful student of history. At least until recently when more responsibility landed on my shoulders. I know Thrax is honorable, and is a loyal servant of the compact. It is time they see that service come back to them. If my small contribution can be part of that, in threefold, than I am happy to be a part of the effort.

The favors are beautiful. I remember a time father may have brought such things home.. I would stare at them for hours as a little girl. They were so beautiful. For the first time though, I stare at these and see them for what they are. Reminders of a tragedy, a loss. And more important, a coming together.

It all started with a bet concerning which team would win in the Tournament of Roses. Prince Talen and I were on the same team, I bet on ours, and of course a team where the two of us were combined, won. I won his mirrormask Visor helm and decided to flaunt my win by wearing it every time I went out. I did, however offer to spar and give Prince Talen the chance to win his helm back, well that came to fruition for him today and he won his helm back.

Relationship Note on Brianna

I have not been able to connect with my cousin basically since I arrived. She had matters to attend, and when she was in town, it was brief, our times never meeting up. But now, now I have hope. I am thankful and gladdened to hear she appreciates all that I have done, not only for Halfshav, but for Redrain, the Compact, and all. I will continue to work just as hard if not harder, striving to unify people and create broader understanding.... but as I promised, Bri... you are getting a list. Don't you worry... I will make sure you aren't bored.

I have returned to a city that is blooming with life; birth, marriages, growth. It warms the heart to see even in the face of what we have lost, what we have survived. And what we may face in the future. We will always press on and live, and that is why the Compact is undefeatable.

My congratulations once again, Prince Darren Redrain and Princess Donella Redrain. To Princess Marian Redrain and Prince Fergus Redrain. To Princess Eleyna Velenosa and Prince Talen Velenosa. Such a dinner, surrounded by happy couples, expecting couples, newlyweds--. It is enough to lift anyone's spirits.
