Stopped by the Hart before my shift. Lovely fun, sparred with Merek. He's -greatly- improved in skill, he claims Luca's been helping him as well. Can't say I'm surprised, Luca's nimble as a cat and impossible to hit on a good day.

Getting drunk and fighting, what possibly could be any better than that? Valencia had a great idea when it came to such, and people seemed to be enjoying the good-natured fights, whether being part of or just spectating. I fought the healer Eirene, she impressed me with her skills as a fighter as well.

It occurs to me that I never had a chance to thank them fully in person. A night’s vigil at the statue of Mangata. For helping my friend without hesitation, I am forever grateful.

I felt good about things on the island. Like we had made such great strides forward. What I saw on the way back....worries me. It sounds as if I was not alone in that dream. We have to keep working, work harder. We cannot let it come to fruition.

It has been a quiet week, where my attentions have been somewhat distracted. Fatherhood is apparently more time consuming than I first thought, when you're not ignoring you offspring.

Mistress Petal has one of the purest hearts I've ever seen in a person. I think that's important, to have a big heart and a desire to make a difference in the world. I think she's going to achieve much in her life, and I'm glad to know her.

I've seen a lot of weird shit in my day. Usually it was 'cause I was piss drunk and rum tends to do funny things to your vision when you've had a bit too much. But I was stone sober on the beach. And what I saw there was probably the strangest thing I've ever seen in my life.
But it was all for good, I think. The shrine looks even more beautiful than it did before. And I'm happy to be apart of it.

Relationship Note on Neve
Lady Neve Greenmarch is many, many things. Not all of them are complimentary, but she'll tell you about those herself - or at least she has when I've spoken to her.
She is passionate and impulsive, and funny and clever. And she confuses a poor knight with the way her thoughts move. But in a good way. I like being confused by Lady Neve.
She holds to old gods and old ways, and it's interesting to see up close. I do not think it clashes with the Pantheon. I think they are complimentary.
