If we are to write, for the Vellichorian record, what we have _not_ dreamed about recently, I will share the following tidibts that I haven't dreamed about lately:

- A beautiful naked woman rubbing me down with fragrant oils;
- A beautiful naked man rubbing me down with fragrant oils;
- A host of spiders cleaning my room;
- Salad fights;
- Giant rats;
- Skeletons taking apart the Murder of Crows piece by piece and proceeding to use the furniture from inside to build a fort.

Though I have occasionally dreamed about officiating at a last minute wedding without any pants on.

We have done well. Everyone who assisted with the Darkwater is to be commended. They bought us all precious time. They won us a battle, but there is still a war on the horizon.

Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.

I had hoped that my work on these issues would be done by the time the Darkwater situation was neutralized, but I'm going to be working on all of this for a while, it looks like.

There's simply too much at stake not to.

The search continues to find a suitable Shaman to teach me more about their faith. I know it is a curiosity for one that follows the Pantheon to ask, but being that I consider my own self to be a Student of Vellichor, I imagine it would be interesting to learn more about the faith that many seem to carry.

My very favorite uncle. Of course, it helps that the rest of them are generally dead.

And for the record, I didn't dream -anything-. I have enough bad dreams of the things I've seen to get visions of the ones I haven't.

So I just expanded the Physician's Guild to include Animal Doctors. Why the fuck not, right? Animals are a backbone of our economy. A commoner lives and dies by his horses and pigs and chickens and so why shouldn't we be concerned for their welfare and health? Pertichor would surely approve.

Relationship Note on Fortunato

I keep hearing people rave about Fort's artwork. Maybe I should go see this show.

Thena's name is being tossed around a lot too.

We should change our names from Grayhopes to Greathopes.

Still, it's pretty great that Fortunato's art is getting so much attention, but we already knew he was amazing. That's why I had his apprentices sneak out figurines on him to sell.

How long until I won't break Thunder's back?

An interesting time today. The delightful Prince Aiden spoke enthusiastically about the menagerie, and his building of a place for animals to get healing done. He said he had never found an instrument they did not like. So after he left with a parade of messengers and armloads of paperwork, Ariela and I visited the exhibits. Curiosity is my bane. I didn't know what instruments the Prince had tried.

We fetched three I own that are easy to carry but most of the animals were at a distance. If anyone expected me to climb in an enclosure with a tiger, or any of the other critters they are out of their gourd. Birds did not seem to mind any of the three. I learned to make little chirpy staccato sounds on the rebec mimicking some of them. Wonder what the chirps meant? (If you are reading this sis, just cause I made chirps, I'm not flighty.)

Next were bugs, and fish, and lizards. After listening to the hissing cockroach, decided not to try playing in there. That left only that big dome butterfly garden. I don't think butterflies are animals, or that would like music, don't even know if they have ears, but I played anyhow since I had been lugging those instruments around. They ignored the lute, just fluttering around. They seemed to fly by to dodge the dulcimer hammers, but at least two of them enjoyed riding the bow with which the rebec is very slowly played. I assure you, not a single butterfly was hurt in the experiment, not even the one that kept landing on my freckles. My sister may never forgive me for making her late to spars at the Hart for the sake of playing to a butterfly.

Note: Yes, too much wine makes for rambling journal entries.

So, my birthday and my one-year anniversary of moving to Arx was last week. I will admit what I found in this city was neither sought after nor expected. But I cannot bring myself to regret the decision to come.

It was an absolute pleasure making the acquaintance of Lady Lucita. She was an unexpected breath of fresh air with the manner in which she paints the sky with song.

I missed my Northern friends. Spending an evening at the Spirits really lists the spirits. I wonder if that is why it is called the Spirits. Or, are they referring to the whiskey? Or perhaps, the shamanistic connotations?

The world may never know.

There are so many wonderful gatherings on the horizon. I am so looking forward to see the art of Knights for the Knights of Solace; I think it will be a rather uplifting event. Then there is the upcoming festivities that the Whisper House, the Lodge and the Faith are collaborating -- I expect it will be fantastic. I think I am starting to run out of hours in a day.

I am glad to be returned to Arx, and to the mainland. I fear that I do not handle the sea well, thankfully, I had a compassionate travelling companion to help ease the illness of the journey. Maelstrom is....unique. The architecture is perhaps an acquired taste, but what matters is that it is safe.

I hope that, no that we are returned to Arx, our next campaigns will be as successful. I am glad though to have served beneath Princess Reese and helped in the defense of the city, securing it against the threats which would have arrayed against it.

I had the pleasure to meet young Lady Nara Deepwood at the Shrine of the First Choice. She is beautiful, but I think there are great and wonderful things in store for the little Lady of Old Oak. Her parents are lucky to have such a lovely daughter, and she I think can be considered the same in turn for such devoted parents.

I recommend the occasional bout of irresponsible levels of drinking and revelry to blow off steam. Nothing bad ever happens when you do that!
