Sing! Reality
Is only what we
Believe it can be!

Love! The world is full
Of sadness and dull
Moments that just lull.
Love is a fierce fire
That burning, grows higher
When it inspires.
Love is splendor.
Love opens doors.
Love is something more.
Love is gentleness
Soothing calm to bless
Those it might address.
Love is a fine balm.
Love is a sweet song.
Love is never wrong.

Relationship Note on Mae

I recently saw that my sister sought a patron. Now I'm usually not the type to do so, my sister being... my sister, but even I, with a sibling's stubbornness, must admit that she does good work.

Artwork, specifically. I'm sure she's awful at everything else, but painting is clearly not one of those things. Really, I'm quite proud of her.

If this is meant for the blacks? What do you think? Of /course/ I want this publicly displayed for all, especially her, to see. What kind of brother would I be if I didn't compliment her openly every now and then?

((Scholar Hartur is not very good at detecting sarcasm.))

Relationship Note on Kenna

The truly great are so called not by their own words, but by the ones of others. If you were to do it yourself, you'd only look childish. "Look at me, look at me! I'm so great, you should pay attention to me! LOOK AT HOW GREAT I AM!"

Of course, if you are convinced of your greatness and see it unacknowledged by the greater world... Scholar, which God or Goddess is it that encourages humility? It is one of the virtues, right?

Citizens of Arx:

This lovely woman must be divinely inspired, as she truly, truly, has sent me a pot of vanilla cream coffee.

I think I have moved on from Whiskey.

To all citizens of Arx:

I hope everyone will come to the painting event at the Shrine of Jayus soon! We are working hard to make it a lovely time for all, and have all manner of colors with which you might share your feelings and passions on canvas. If you need paint and canvas, it will be provided. If you would like to bring your own, please feel free to. If you would like to share some art you've already made -- painting, sculpture, drawings, dance, music -- please feel more than welcome to come and share.

We will have musicians there to provide some respite for the event, but I've already asked them not to play too loudly. After all, nobody likes having their expression of creativity drowned out by another's expression. Wine will also be provided. Please don't wear your best clothes or anything else you don't want to stain! You are liable to get paint on such things, and the Shrine cannot refund any costs for laundering those clothes. (That was a joke. I hope it worked!)

Anyone who comes looking to critique another's work will have wine dumped on their heads, as I have already expressed to several people. Jayus may call to some people more than others to express themselves in craft, but he calls to all in different ways, and to critique another's work is simply to stifle any potential creativity. It is a disservice to Jayus, and will be most unwelcome at this event.

Given her long years of faithful service to Archduke-Consort Talen Velenosa, Sybilla the courtier has been promoted to lady's maid under my employment. The focus of her duties will shift to taking care of the small duties and responsibilities required of an Archduchess' lady's maid.

To this end, Jiacomo, as Velenosa seneschal having served the family in various roles for as long as I've been alive, now works directly for Archduke Talen. He is a talented hand at making unruly royals behave in a much more dignified manner. It's just usually children that he provides such a service to, of course.

Your Highness,

If you are trying to get rest, I doubt coffee is the way to go.

That said, Westrock Reach does offer a wide arrange of coffee beans that can be ground into an excellent cafe.

Every time I go get some much needed, extended sleep....

Every time. Without fail.

What a time to be sober. Anyone have some coffee for a Princess that needs no sleep?

I don't think I've ever won anything in my whole life. I cannot express how delighted I am! If I were a more clever writer I'd have managed a clam pun in this note tonight.

Silent Reflections
Day 3 - 2/23/1008 AR

There has been a lot to occur in the last few days. More specifically, the events with a certain heretic who has been mislead into challenging the Faith in their understanding of the Gods. At least, questioning them to some degree is understandable and forgivable. After all, how much can mortal men really know about the inner workings of the world around us. These are part of our mortal failings, to question the Faith. Blatant heresy in such a way is deplorable. Who better of mortal men to know how the Gods direct us, than those of the Faith?

A simple thing we would all do well to keep in mind, especially in light of the past two days: no great change can occur overnight. Forcing certain issues can do as much damage as leaving them unresolved, and in some cases can make things much worse.

Have patience, Arvum. Have faith in your fellows and the Pantheon. Or your Path, if you're so inclined.
