I would not trade my brother, so no one even entertain such an idea. One could hardly ask for a better sibling! Biased as I may be. I'm rather certain he had hoped for a brother and not some scrambley little girl often tagging along on his adventures, but I would like to think I've grown on him. Cousins, though? Well. What will people give me for Itzal? He's not too ugly, he's tall enough to reach high shelves, he's reasonably physically fit and can lift boxes, and he has a pretty good singing voice.

I heard of Sir Kerr's return to the city and sought to find suitable lodgings for him when prompted by a household attendant. What failed to be mentioned in the discussion was that the Pine Suite was already occupied.
To make it up to you, I'll see to it that the room I set aside for my personal armory is make a little more homely. Then you can bunk there. I've been told that Lady Emily Deepwood snores something fierce, so you'll thank me later.

I stumbled across Lady Kenna for the first time since the defeat of the Gyre in Setarco, although I had meant to speak to her concerning her message about my brother's hospitality. I have made myself clear. She has expressed great interest in whether my brother would look handsome with a sword-cane and asked me my opinion. Sadly, I lacked the imagination to oblige. No, I don't wish to end up like them. I don't know if it's worth speculating on all the reasons and possibilities. For one, I cannot divine the future. For second, it's self-defeating to string myself along with doubts. What's true now might drastically change in the future.

I adore rabbits. I always have. I am fairly sure the Spirits and Petrichor adore them too. However, there is a disease amongst them that makes them hazardous to our well being. As stated in the Crown proclamation, any seen within a days ride of Arx should be hunted and killed. This is not only to protect ourselves and those we love, but to end the suffering of the diseased bunnies. I love most creatures, but would not want any to suffer so greatly when I can help them so easily.

DO NOT EAT THEM. DO NOT SAVE THEIR FURS. Their bodies are to be cleansed by fire before being properly disposed of, as you would any hazardous item. Remember the plague blankets Abbas used that everyone was utterly disgusted by to the very fiber of their morale beings? Well... these rabbits are like hopping, breathing, nose twitching plague blankets. They must be destroyed to end the disease. One day healthy bunnies will return to the area, but first, we have to make it safe for them to do so.

The more it spreads, the more difficult it will be for us to eradicate the disease. I pray you all can see just how serious a matter this is.

If you're looking to help with killing rabbits, but aren't particularly useful in the forest on your own--or at hunting in general--I'm making an offer to act as a guide. For free.
I don't guarantee we'll find rabbits with how many other people are killing them, or that you'll kill any (your aim is entirely on you), but as long as you don't wander off and agree to leave when it's time to go (hint: if we run into things that want to kill us, instead of things we want to kill, it's time to go), I can guarantee you'll get back home without getting lost. Considering the price, I think that deal is fair.

The Lady Malvici's concern about an epidemic is well-founded. If--Twelve forbid--the contagion is contained within the humours, then consumption of the flesh could quickly allow the disease to spread rapidly beyond rabbits.

My children will never dissapoint me. My heavy hand is out of fear for what this generation has been forced to tackle. A lot of them alone and without the guide of their parents. I am proud of their ambition but I worry that it drives them farther and farther from home, from their family. There is no hurry ohana, enjoy your youth. When you gros old, you'll have an eternity to explore beyond the horizon.
