Solariums are one of the best ideas I think I've seen made by city folk. Normally I like nature to be, well, natural, but there is something to be said for those places that try to blend both the city and the natural world. The shrine of Lagoma isn't terrible at this, and the Stone grove was a very very old example of that. I want to make a place like that of my own I think.

Relationship Note on Fortunato
It is always a thing, when you meet with true artists. There is something about their soul that sees the world at an angle just slightly apart from most. The thoughts that stir in his head spin with incredible depth and when he speaks, it is often of faith and requires an answer that challenges me deeply. He comes to his faith in a most interesting direction and I wait eagerly for his next questions. Perhaps I might even manage some of my own.

I had thought her too quiet at first, a reserved woman of an esteemed grandfather. She listens and speaks with a thoughtful touch to her words and she believes truly and deeply in the gods. That might be expected from a direct relation of the Most Holy, but what conversation I've had with her shows she comes to her faith on her own. So while quiet, there is contemplation and sincere curiosity behind those eyes. I am glad to have met her.

If given the choice between being under siege and besieging someone, one should always choose the former. Both are fine options for a sellsword, of course, but it comes down to coin, and triple rates against double is hardly a choice at all!

Rumors abound about banning the production of whiskey inside the city during the siege. Thank the spirits that I planned ahead and stockpiled some Rathlander like I said I was going too. Spirits forbid we don't have anything to drink in celebration once this is all over.

Beneath the stars, Arx in jumble, a crowd of buildings and paths, towers and water-run gorges. The Cathedral is a glimmer of stone and stained glass ringed about by shrines, the bridges and gates exaggerated in size and shade.
Around Arx, woods sloping into ocean, ocean littered with compact, floating towns, at least more town than ship, squat buildings warmed by perilous floating bonfires. Ocean rises into mountain peak, which shades into clouds, clouds that circle about the high edge of Arx and descend back into the woods in a haze.
At the bottom right corner, in small letters, "We are here. We will persist. We will not do your work for you."

I thought waiting a day or so before writing about the events would help clear my head and let me arrange words more clearly to express all that happened. I was wrong. I do not think my mind is yet prepared to thoroughly express the magnitude of that which occurred.
The tapestry ever weaves itself, and with each passing day, it is apparent to me that the pictures once thought so separate are truly interwoven into a grand panorama. I have seen the Spirits work, have spoken with the Spirits themselves.... and I have seen the miracles of the Pantheon as well. This is to me, further proof that Arx united, all working together, is the key.
It fucking rained spiders.....

I took my first client, for Mae's athletic training! Running is really important, everyone. You can get across the city faster, you are more healthy, you can eat more and not get fat, and also, you can run away from scary things. Esoka did great, and didn't even fall off the Sovereign Bridge! I'm proud!

Relationship Note on Reese
I've heard through the gossips that Princess Reese may very well be getting married soon. This is wonderful news! She is a stalwart defender of...it often seems like everything. No cause is beneath her willingness to serve it and that is what the Compact needs. Even during my time as part of the King's Own, she would regularly visit with me in order to discuss the news of the day and to keep the knights of the Crown informed. To know that, amidst all of the turmoil of the day, that she is still looking to social obligations as an important detail of life and her own potential happiness? Great news indeed.
Further, such news can be found to be inspiring. To know that others are so confident that the siege will eventually break and that life will, someday, return to normal and they are planning accordingly for such? It is an inspirational sign that will grant hope for the future. Absolutely a bold move and one that I believe will ultimately result in uplifting the spirits of many.
I've also heard through the songs and poetry of another that she is referred to as Princess Ribbons. It is so very accurate. If it's not ribbons, then it's something pink. She definitely has a sense of style.

I've began more formally mentoring my family and allies in the ways of war. After numerous lessons from Archduke Niccolo and Lady General Calypso, coupled with nearly a decade of marching with the Knights, I believe I have found something I am quite capable at. I pray to the Gods that I will be able to train these peers as well as I have been.
