There are many people who would accuse me of saying what's on my mind entirely too often, or of being far too open with my thoughts. They're not wrong! I simply don't care what most people think of me. It's a great way to be, really. But in my many years of being a sellsword, something has always vexed me. Why would someone openly state their distaste for someone else? It's either a ruse, or they're not quite bright enough to realize that it's far easier to revenge yourself upon someone if they think they're your dearest friend! Actually, I'll codify it. Audric's rule number one: Be everyone's friend, right up until you very much aren't.

How about interior decorating for a subject change? I hear from Lord Percephon that my lovely sister Jael would like to repaint our home and that she DETESTS the shade of yellow. She also wants to get all new furniture and take everything we currently own and throw it out into the streets and use it to start a bonfire. I can't believe her audacity! Young women these days!

Time flies.
I just realized that it has been a bit over a year since I arrived in Arx. A year... And my birthday is next month...
My birthday. It used to be... just a day. Last year, it represented endings, and beginnings...
And then life was some kind of gale force wind sweeping me up into heights and down into lows and crashing me into walls and stomping me into the ground.... up and down and all around. I suppose that is how life is. I suppose I learned more in this year than I have in most of my life.
I have learned that I am vulnerable at times. I learned that I can do more than I ever thought I would. I have learned I do a lot of good. I have learned I make mistakes....
Endings, and beginnings.... and here I am again. Wondering what comes next.
