I dreamed last night of a man who had darkness for a face and iron chains that bound innocence in his grip. A knight came on a galloping stag with antlers made of alaricite. Weeping gave birth to them both, and they are twins. Were they part of the plan? The world danced around me into the unknown: the King of Man, the Lord of Will, the Master of Bindings, and Death... until they stopped the music.
After that I woke up. I don't think I wanted to know what happened next. It wasn't a very nice dream.

The reception was this week, and although we kept the wedding small, family and close friends, I was pleased to see how many came to the reception itself. It was beautiful, and simple, and the cake was wonderful. Saedrus Whisper was the perfect organizer for this, he listened to everything we wanted and there was absolutely no fuss at all.

Upon my return to Arx, the first thing I did was sleep for roughly half a day. This was followed by an exceedingly long bath, during which time I elected to enjoy a fine cup of tea and catch up on those journals from the Archives that I may have missed while outside the city's walls.
I believe there are a few gentleman who owe my maid an apology for alarming her. The sounds of choking and splashing made her rush into the room, under the impression that I was somehow drowning in my own tub. The poor woman was far less amused than I was.

Good food, good company, amusing conversations, and stories ranging from adventurous, exciting, to humorous or dangerous. Service was impeccable. My cousin will regret having missed this gathering.

I am glad to have them at my side and most so shortly after our mission. I am exhausting friend to have.
They are all very brave. Master Faelan will help us sail. I am grateful for him joining us sea challenged Graysons. Mistress Eilowny will help keep us alive. We desperately need that kind of help. Lady Clara is trained fighting and healing both.
Prince Luca, Lord Killian, Master Sparte, Lady Arianna and Lord Graham are some of the best warriors in the land. I am honored to have them along.
I go with the blessings of Princess Lark, Princess Cara and Prince Calarian. They have ever desire to stand with the Thrax and help save innocent lives. I also go with funding from my family and with their prayers.
Duke Harald has been helping to train me for this endeavor.
We will follow the way of the faith and the way of Gloria while on this mission. Innocents will not be killed, but protected.
Marquis Rymarr has agreed to help manage things on the home front. I am grateful for his presence.

Mistress Mirari crafted an amazing Axe for Master Faelan who is helping to sail our ships and Mistress Alarie is working on leather armor for him.
Master Magpie is helping to rush decorate my ship in pink. He is making shag rugs, sails with pink ribbons, a pink hammock and a pink gryphon war banner.
I must sail in rosy style.

It's been decided Semiramis is too big for beds and is not a dog as much as she's good with fetch and walks. That being said, I have decided a large, fluffy dog would be a suitable replacement for my horse being too large for evening cuddles in bed. It gives me comfort to consider a fluffy puppy with everything going on.

Back to the city just in time to plan an orange and vanilla cake in the shape of a dog -- somehow -- for Tiber's third birthday tomorrow. Thank the gods for the Grayson kitchens, because I have no idea how else to provide "dog cake".
Sadly Ainsley will have to miss it because he is yet to return from Bastion, but I've assured him repeatedly by letter that there will be other birthdays for his ward. I mean, like as not at some point during the day there will be a meltdown anyways, and will it really bother him so much to miss a handful of cake to the face?

Dulcimers are more fragile than they look, dulcimers break. If you ever want to clear a crowd out of a room, just play one with a cracked soundboard and a warped bridge. Luckily that did not happen today although I almost dropped mine while getting it measured for a padded carryall, thanks to Sir Daemon's quick action in securing it. Also shopping were Lady Vesper Nighthawk, a sword of Brassfall March, but she did not have a sword yet, and a big, very, very tall man, Agnarr. You have to back up to talk to him or get a crick in the neck from looking up so much. Am not sure what to think of that one after he made some comment about at least not being born Lycene (at least I think that is what he said)...and well, Igniseri's are of Velenosa fealty and I live in the Lyceum district.
