I met a man the other day who wishes to give back to those he meets. Not in the traditional sense. Not in favors owed or presents given, but insight. To see yourself as he sees you. What an inspirational gift, if one takes it to view inward as well.

I do not come by often, but on occasion, I like to visit the archives to browse through the white journals. I like to see what others might have going on in their lives. It helps keep me abreast of what is happening all around me as time ticks by and my attention is so focused on other matters. I also read them looking for inspiration, or for hope. Some awaken within me a desire to debate, though rarely do I fall for that bait.
Others, unexpectedly, bring memories both sweet and sorrowful, of people who have long returned to the wheel. It could be for an obvious reason, such as when a journal speaks of the person by name, or something as simple as mentioning a particular flower. Someone might simply say they had the most delightful slice of strawberry pie, and I am immediately taken back through time and memory to a loved one telling me it is their favorite fruit.
These journals do more than give us a stage to mark down our experiences as we travel through this life. They give us the opportunity to remember those who have walked the path with us for a time, whether we are author or reader. And for this, I give thanks to Vellichor.

What do you do when you conscience leads you astray? I don't even know where to begin in trying to do better but that won't stop me from trying.

It is good to see Lord Keaton again and to work together to research a problem of common interest. We each gave the other new information. May our work continue to bear fruit and our friendship continue to blossom

I wish there was more of me to go around, to help where I can. But it seems a person can only be spread so thin it seems and as Drake is always reminding me, I'm only one person. I can't run to every situation no matter how much I want to. But I vow this....I will try to serve in any way possible. The best way I can. In any capacity.

I received a new gift the other day. Friendship is definitely a strange thing but the gift speaks volumes.

I think I'm going to teach the twins how to sail and fish. And hunt. Leave the wrestling to Triton. And the manners to Elora. Come to think of it, the sailing should be Aella. HA! These will be the best well rounded Ravenseyes ever!
You know, I watch them look at each other and I see the same look Triton and I have. The one of understanding. Where you don't even have to say anything. They know each other's thoughts, and it's going to serve them well.

The twins are of the age to begin learning the Thirteen Lessons! I can't believe they're five years old already. It feels like their Naming was just yesterday.
Sigh.

Kedehern
The twins just turned five the other day, we did not have a huge party of them, we just spend it together as a family. Afterward, Kedehern and I discussed the idea of having another child, if the time was right or not. We came to the decision that there was not a right time, and that we would see what happens.

I've been spending my time mostly NOT at home, scholar. I know you're likely not surprised at this. But what SHOULD shock you is that I haven't wanted to come home. And it's not because I don't love my family. Or love being around them. Because that's not the case. I don't know why I want to stay there. I just find myself wanting to run more. To be freer. I hear the echos in my head of my dreams and I just to go.

I'm glad we were able to find some time to visit with Amari. It was good getting together for some tea and cakes, the children were all happy to see her. And as always so was I.

The Grayhope Art Gallery is coming along just fine. We had our first visitor. It was a private tour. I feel like, as an art curator, I might need a few more pieces of work to balance out the number of nude works-of-art. Like, at least two or three more non-nude ones. Anyway, it's coming along splendidly. That's what one says in high-society, right? Splendidly.

I dreamed I found myself on a field of blood, under an endless sky of gray. My own self was there in dark robes and a mirrored mask, and he asked me questions I could not answer, the two of us alone, until I sank in anguish into the blood. It closed over me, and I watched myself drown in my own reflection, and I could not breathe, and still I had no answers.
Then I woke up and found my husband in his sleep had moved his pillow and partially smothered me.
(Accidentally, I assume.)

When I said "Paint whatever you like, I will be happy to get anything you bring me", I really did not expect a painting of my eyeball.
It is a pretty eyeball though.

I've been helping friends with some research and I find it is just as satisfying as doing my own research. It's nice to help others and learn at the same time.

An opportune encounter with the Softest Whisper Aconite has inspired an idea for a series of paintings. I look forward to seeing how it progresses.
