It's funny how the answers we are so desperately searching for often just lead to new questions

I've been visiting Artshall's ruins recently, more often than I normally do.
Seeing the city walls begin to rise has been an immense comfort to me.
The strength our people present is ever inspiring and I shall ever hope to learn from them to not lose hope in the future.

Zyn and I ran into a Princess and some others an interesting night to be sure. Remind me to never get on Zyn's bad side, she's quick to pull that knife out.

I have met a perfectly charming young lady called Delia Whisper. She gives really good pep talks and advice.

Meeting cousin Mabelle and Lucie Laurent was most refreshing. We had drinks at the Bee and caught up on latest events. I fear for those I knew who were at Artshall and look through lists now to see who didn't make it.

When we received reports of troubles northwest of Bastion, of people disappearing without a trace, I knew we needed to scout those regions to see if we could find any sign of survivors or what has been going on. I gathered as many Explorers as would volunteer for this and we took many trips to the northwest regions to scout as much as possible. We went from village to village, holding to holding; I lost count on how many we went to. There was no one left. Not. A. Single. Person.
They are just gone. All gone. I don't even want to imagine what happened to them, because my greatest fear is that my suspicions will bear out and that's not something I even want to begin to fathom, even if those suspicions might be right.
My heart grieves for those who have been lost and those who have lost.
elow Lou's journal entry is a sketch of a village, things scattered as though they were left behind mid-chore, empty and devoid of people.}

I have realized I am shit at being there for the people I care about. We have lessons, instructors, advisors, shipwrights, who the fuck do you go to in order to learn not to be an asshole?

At the bar called Spirits, two men met,
A Lord and a merchant, without regret,
Introduced by a Marquis of high esteem,
A bond formed, pure as a dream.

Under the stars, by a campfire's light,
Their friendship sparked, without a fight,
As they shared their stories, their laughter grew,
A connection formed, pure and true.

Today I am impressed by the silly hopefulness of infatuated youth, and the fragility of awakened hearts. We are called to war with such frequency that it seems designed to diminish us, to push us toward attitudes unfit for light. Yet here we are, humanity, entrenched in our little passions. There was a time such things would have bored me, and in fact, did. Now nothing gives me more courage to see.

I am surprised that so many people have written to me with an interest in offering their space for my planned exhibition. There will be countless happy souls if I can secure one of them. Arx, your artistic spirit enlivens me!

There's nothing more beautiful (sad, or lonely) than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away.

It's amazing how well cultures can mix and find common ground when starting out with a good bottle of liqueur. A little dance helps too.

All those months of training, honing my craft and trying to better myself as a knight have paid off. Well, at least a little bit. Granted it's not quite slaying a foe on the battlefield or gaining honor for my house, but capturing the prized pink flag in a contest to climb a slope is certainly a start, I suppose!
