Who knew a baby pygmy goat was this much trouble. I am pretty sure that she was a gag gift from Gaston. I am going to get him back for this. Not that I don't adore her because I do. And she really is the most adorable little creature. With the hugest personality. But still. I am going to get you back Gaston.

To be honest, being Inquisitioned wasn't that terrible. They were terribly polite about it and didn't dunk me in water even once. I even got a nice certificate of non-wickedness out of it.

When my cousin asked I help with family social obligations, I never imagined coping with representing the family at a fealty dinner so soon. Did not know anyone there but it was delightful, and colorful. There were under-currents in some conversations, a risky game of drinks, and at the end, a challenge issued.

There more I keep considering Prince Velenosa's challenge, the more I keep debating commissioning more portraits just to be contrary! I shall give this some thought.

As usual, dinner at the Velenosa estate was... exciting. I'm glad my guest had a good time, even if she suffered from a light case of poisoning.

I think I will not play any games that have to do with drinking any kind of mysterious drinks at fancy dinners. Wine is bad enough as it is when you are trying not to stick your foot in your mouth, as they say. I'll just stick to watching other folk drink them, as there's a lot you can learn by doing that. I learned noble folk sent portraits to one another when arranging a marriage, but I suppose that makes sense if they don't all live in Arx.
I've tried gelato, and I find I quite like it, though I reckon I'd like it better in the summer. It was a very interesting Velenosa dinner, but they usually are. And I quite liked the wine as well which was very pleasant and went well with the gelato.

So..back in Arx. And the chaos has returned just in time for my arrival, what joy. I had thought that, considering how long I was gone, I might get to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet upon returning..that things might have calmed and normalized somewhat. Guess that's a never going to happen. On the other hand, I suppose that when it's quiet you have to worry just what the other side are up to..
