With the support and generosity of those who donated to the cause and participated in the Freedom art show charity auction, the Liberators of Skald have been able to begin their new ministry of offering aid and support to those returning to lives of liberty by securing the freedom of some five thousand thralls from across the Mourning Isles. While some have chosen to remain in different parishes of the Isles, and some have chosen to relocate to other areas of the Compact, a full four thousand souls have recognized the commitment to freedom displayed by House Deepwood and have chosen to start new lives in Old Oak.

I would like to personally thank those Liberators and other members of the Faith for their diligence and effort to make all of this possible: Liberator Mason, Liberator Saedrus, Liberator Samantha, Liberator Ferrando, and Seraph Ailith. I would also like to thank Master Fortunato Grayhope and our anonymous artist for their donations of such remarkable paintings to help fund the cause. And, of course, thank you to each and every person who donated silver in amounts both large and small. Every act of charity of any size is a blessed one.

This is just the beginning. The Faith will continue to assist any and all people returning to lives of freedom to offer the support and assistance they need to begin this new stage in their lives.

Until every chain is broken. Thank you.

I want to thank all of the Faithful who have been willing to open their hearts and minds and listen to new ideas — or very old ones, once forgotten. The Shrine of the Queen of Endings welcomes you all, as once Her hands brought you to life, and will one day return you to Her.

I also want to publicly acknowledge the labor of Her disciples, the Harlequins. They stand ready and able to assist with any of your needs related to our Shrine and our ministry. If you have questions for me or any of them, please ask.

The Harlequins study to assist as midwives in welcoming new souls into the world. And because as all things must end so that they may begin anew, they are also available to be on hand to assist families dealing with loss, at the end of life. The Shrine stands ready to assist with funeral rites, but the Harlequins are also ready to help you with remains, and ensuring that they are tended with care and respect. Please don't be afraid to ask for help as you and your family face your losses together. We know that dying is a necessary part of living, but we understand that doesn't make it easier, and we are here to reach out.

Copies of our doctrine are available at the Shrine of the Queen of Endings in the prayer basket if you want more information about Death and about our ministry.

I missed Thena!

Thena, I'm so sorry. I love you.

Dame Thena of the Knights of Solace has offered her time and resources to help the Crow Soup Kitchen. I have asked that she might see to the Knights of Solace helping get those in need to and from the Soup Kitchen, and she has gladly agreed.

Donations for the Crow Soup Kitchen are coming in! I'm so very happy. We should be opening, officially, soon. And I will be planning an event to celebrate (and continue to raise funds).

So far...
Prince Victus has paid for all Thraxian citizens, and a sizeable donation above that.
Archduchess Eleyna has paid for all Velenosa citizens, and a sizable donation above that.
Princess Donella and Princess Marian have both donated on behalf of Redrain, and together doubled the silver needed to offer food to Redrain citizens in need.

Princess Donella has also offered supplies to help finish the construction of the kitchen, and Princess Tikva has offered the same.

Marquessa Samantha will be supplying wood and furniture, and is also working as a Crown Minister to secure funding from the Crown. Prince Rook, Minister of Coin, is working on a Crown grant to make sure the kitchen stays funded.

Did I miss anyone?

Thank you all for your support.

For a mountain girl, I've been out to sea an awful lot these last few months. it is strange to think that I feel as comfortable there as I do in the north now. So much so, I feel sad when it is time to return to Arx. of course, I try to sit, or kneel on the deck of the ship as much as possible. Standing makes me feel far too wobbly.... and let's not talk about laying down. No, if sleep must be had, I will do so sitting up and leaning against something sturdy, thank you.

I have returned from another voyage. One, thankfully, in which I did not have to fight tainted things, abyssal things, or even see the darkness that plagues so much of the world. It was not a trip for leisure, necessarily, but for learning.

And for sketching... I have so much sketching and painting to do... Next time I see fit to lock myself in my room for days on end, I should do so with charcoals and paints on hand....

Or, just sit in the Grove. I might do that... perhaps the spiritual inspiration will boost the artistic. It is the place I feel most at home within the city, after all.

Though, perhaps I should visit the beach more often....

I am glad the renovations to the Bisland Manor are just about complete in time for the Bisland Meeting of the Marches this week. I would not care to host our esteemed vassals and guests in an active construction site.

I woke up today as I do every other day to a full schedule of metal work. I followed this by having a drink or two because after being in a hot sweaty forge all day, that's the one thing that really takes the edge away. That and it's damned delicious. What I didn't expect was to have an intense and involved lesson with Princess Marian while Lord Armand played the perfect distraction.

Damn those good looking men who like to douse their shirts with water until it clings to every rippling muscle and becomes see-through. How is a girl supposed to learn how to handle a sword with all that running around?

Baron Audric - I pity your lack of creativity.

Dr. Jack, however, sounds very clever indeed. Good Doctor, please accept this invitation to join me in the Titanic Skull - Makeshift Office - of Southport Square.

Skulls make really, really bad goblets, just as a point of general advice. You have to have a lot of metal crammed in there, or all the holes in someone's head mean you get barely a shot's worth while you dribble it all over your pants. The points you get for intimidation and ....style?... aren't worth the trouble of it.

Just the formorian one in the yard. Though I do use it as an office on occasion. That has to count for something.

If you're making goblets, we'll have to have a twin pair made.

Darling, I didn't tell you about the wall because at this point I had figured you had already constructed a wall of skulls of your own.

At least catch up to my settee of skulls.

Next up? A goblet.

I learned today that there is an entire wall of skulls in the Shrine of Death to honor lost lives. This is a sentiment I can get behind. Not only does it face us with mortality and remind us of how precious life is, but it also gives us a chance to revisit those who were lost and remember what they died for.

More importantly... Why didn't anyone tell me we had a whole wall of skulls?!
