I've found that developing a reputation for stabbing the bearers of unwanted advances has done wonders for staving of their clumsy attempts. That said, I cannot educate all of Arx in such a manner, but if anybody is having any such problems as... oh, I don't know? Asking somebody else's beloved into a private room and demanding they strip before trying to kiss at their neck despite being clearly told there was no interest. Well, just let me know and I'll take them into private and have a few choice words about consent.

Since I guess it needs to be said: If a woman desires to be touched intimately, to be groped or manhandled, petted or pawed, invited to share someones bed, or even to just be kissed I think it ought to go without saying that 1. A reasonable amount of time between initially meeting and developing any amorous intent should be first established. 2. Extensive research and a firm understanding of the womans reciprocating feelings should be made and had. - And really that's it. One might think that these were fairly easy concepts to grasp but then One would be dissapointed after any small amount of time spent in Arx. While I could never claim to be prudish by any sense of the term, ever... by anyone ... I am nearly alarmed by the amount of intimate attention that I have been recieving and were it *just* me, I might frown at myself for being so crass as to publish this in a journal, but after speaking to a few women I realize it is not *just* me, but a spreading contagion affecting the populous as a whole. So I ask simply that a little bit of graciousness, patience and good manners are put into effect whenever someone has the urge to shove their tongue down another persons throat, or grab their breast in the baths. A fire demon attacked Mason yesterday, and completely burned out one of his eyes; many others in the city were hurt as well. Trust me when I say that when I find those responsible, there are no words for what I might do or say. To say that I'm angry is monumental understatement. No supposed guard will be able to stop me.
But, for now, I content myself with being relieved that my husband is alive, and that my daughter still has a father. He is accepting visitors in the House of Solace, though do have a care. He's in a great deal of pain.

As House Kennex continues to go through the difficult transition from an economy based on slavery to one of better moral principles, I would like to commend them for the good things that they've done. It's far too easy to see the turmoil and upheaval such a change has caused but all good things are hard earned and won with determination and veracity. The Marquis and his family's intentions were good and wholesome. They wished to abolish thralldom in their lands and make freedom the rule of law in their domain. While there might have been a better way, hindsight is everything.
We make mistakes, we learn from them and we grow. The peerage has made it's opinions on the matter abundantly clear and the charity and hard work that the Liberators and the other Houses of the Compact have done cannot be understated. Everyone has come together in this crisis and done what we all set out to do. Put the people before ourselves. To forgive when you can condemn, to embrace when you could castigate, to show solidarity when we could divide. These are the things that make us human, that make us better than the enemies of the Compact that still work toward tearing us apart. While I am not saying that we should forget, I am saying that we can all walk with the Gods and help one another up when we stumble and fall. Let us guide one another back to the flock when we've lost our way. House Kennex and the family of Marquis Ford Kennex have suffered enough. I hope we all strive to master our passions and love our fellow man with an open heart and if we cannot then at the very least let us refrain from spreading the darkness of hatred.
