If I should die, I have few things to organise. Most of what I possess is on me. Still.
If I am recovered with my armour and sword, then I remand Banisher of Shadows back to the Dominus. It was the intent on its creation that it might in time turn into a new sword of the Faith, a new sword of the Templars. It is right it should go to another now who the Dominus feels might best serve the Faith.
My armour equally should go to the new Knight Marshall whoever it shall be.
As for my personal effects, I trust Seraph Ailith and Father Orazio to distribute them as any see fit if they want anything. My first sword, regular steel though it is, should be saved for Brother Fawkuhl should be return. It was he who provided it, it is fitting to him it shall return. My amulet, marked with the sigil of the Templars, I would leave to Prince Edain as a token of my belief in his own faith.
I hope still that this will be unnecessary, and that I will return whole. But I know many will not. What is certain is that no life will be given cheaply.

- Hana Grayhope shall be the final decider of the destination of those few things I own.
- the Crimson Seed, my bow, was a gift from the Faith and the Nox'alfar. It shall be returned to Legate Orazio Saik, to find a new owner.
- my other armor and weapons belong, should the leader of House Saik permit, to the Lodge of Petrichor, to whoever follows me as the Horn.
- I would ask Hana take my wardrobe, to be disposed of as she see fit
- the gold-inlaid Horn will likewise be returned to the Lodge
- Should she survive me, Brier, my horse, is at the disposal of the head of House Saik
- Aletta, if permitted, shall be allowed freedom and to remain at the Lodge, as part of the colony of hawks like her I am trying to foster there.

Putting these baskets together for families that will be missing someone at war has been a delight! It is letting me get to know the families of those I would not otherwise be involved with and picking out tiny things that might mean something special to them has truly been lovely. Some might think this task tedious, but I imagine the joy on the faces of the little ones as they get a special little treat and how that might take their minds off worry and I redouble my efforts.
It helps that it also distracts me from my own worries about my loved ones. Would that such things could be decided by talks or trade or even a marriage. Though I told Reese I am not marrying any sea creatures she may come across even if it would end the war. We all have our limits.

I find myself oddly grateful for this impending doom lingering off the coast as I see those who are usually distracted by their differences, putting them aside to work together.
When we come back from this mission, and we will come back from it, I hope they can remember that these people who they distrusted because they believe different things, or live differently or were born in a different place, had their backs, and their sides, and spilt blood along side of them and that they are forever tied to each other for that.
