The epitaph is a one of my masterpieces, though I don't carve or sculpt often. It's sandstone, and not unlike carving waxes to cast from though on a much grander scale. If anyone has wondered why my fingers are rubbed raw and I've been slow to work, they know now. I carved the face of every man, woman, and child on that thing myself, and despite the name, sandstone is -not- some soft chalk-like material to work with. It's hard and gritty and it gets in everything. I managed to carve most of it in pieces, here, and shipped them with us and put them together like a giant puzzle piece, finishing the finer details at the site with more carving and carefully inlayed metals and seashells.
My apologies to everyone that had to deal with me during that time as I was not a nice person in those final weeks. My gratitude, too, to whomever kept bringing me food. I don't remember your name, but that my clothes aren't falling off me from weightloss and that's impressive after such intense creative binges. So. Thank you.
Also, Crafters, don't let me forget; those that helped are getting a bonus. Send me a message if you don't hear from me and I'll forward the writs. I'm rather bed-ridden for completely unrelated reasons, and my shop will remain closed for a little while longer.

I wish I could manage to visit more events, but so often I'm busy or doing something else. I am hopeful that I can at least visit my friends when I'm able. I at least have started some ideas on my new crafts.

I, and Ashford, are leaving to fight with Grayson and the Compact as is our duty, praise Limerace. I am leading the Ashford forces to Stormwall, where I will join the archers. I worry for Olivia, but know she will be safe with the healers, helping some of those who fall recover. I plan on returning. There is too much that needs to be done on many fronts, the future to plan for, and other battles which will need to be fought.
I will enjoy the trip, as I love being out of the city. I wish it were for better reasons, admittedly, but it will be nice to breathe the open air, see trees, and smell and hear the natural world -- although I'm sure I'll be more smelling, seeing and hearing the forces around me than nature.

I had the pleasure of meeting another recent return to the city - one who comes with the praise of the Pantheon on her lips and a devotion to the craft in her gaze. I hope many have a chance to meet her in the near future, and that she finds herself well placed with her return. Lady Catalana is to stay on at the Tyde Tower as long as she wishes to tutor Lady Victoria as she grows into adulthood. My Aeterna outfit shall also be given to her.
Prince Gideon and his family may also remain in Tyde Tower as long as they wish, may he support my son in learning to be the Thrax man I know he will be.
Princess Reese may have my iridescite ring, it's not pink but I hope she will wear it any how and remember me

Notes: Setarco market vendor foods currently available despite the flood of soldiers and sailors to the city: Fried stuff, lots of fried stuff. The short stick shaped ones can be fish (tasty but sometimes bony) or potatoes or cheese though all look the same. The half circle shaped ones were some kind of filling with apples and raisins, like a pie but fried instead of baked. And the round ones had a little chocolate flavor though the rest of it was a mystery, and the oblong ones were eggy cheese meat filled. Kabobs, watery lemon flavored water, slabs of meat on a piece of bread. Some was familiar, some was not. Setarco wines (in moderation) helped wash it all down no matter what type food it was.

For any and all that might be wondering, I am not leaving Arx. I've left Arx three times ever, and each time has been more scary than the previous. I'm sure not going to set out when there's a war on!
That said, I will be in the Shrine of the Queen of Endings and Mother of Beginnings often. Any and all that wish to come speak about endings and beginnings, those passed and those yet to come, I will gladly consult as best as I am able.
