When he mussed with my hair, and told me voice snide,
"Son, you must remember when the day is done,
to clean your feet in the shadow of the sun.";
And to this day, upon arriving home,
I look to my shoes, and for a man who will never come.
My second memories of him were by the age of seventeen,
When he clapped my shoulder, slapping my bearded chin unclean,
"Son, you must remember to compliment your mate,
Or else you will find yourself in a deprived state.";
And to this day, when I see my mate's eyes,
I revel in their color aloud, knowing he has died.
My third memories of him were by the age of twenty-two,
when he mused of my sister, and of my new wound.
"Son, remember that 'great things' should be considered lightly,
and the littlest of things with such detail, not slightly."
And to this day, when a man pries to the state of my face,
I smile as I do, and leave him in haste.
My fourth memories of him were by the age of twenty-five,
when I held his hand, and watched the last living breath die,
"Son, for me this you must do; never give up, or pretend to be a fool;
Always to yourself be true, and only willingly play the tool."
And with his dying breath I sighed, my eyes turning to shaded places inside;
and when my feet loudly scuff more than I intend,
His dying words, my thoughts often recommend.
My final memories of him were by the age of right now,
In song he is remembered, like the sky or dust-clouds,
"Father, you must remember that I miss you so,
and that your words, succinctly, to my children will go."
And to this day, a thought of him brings tears to my eyes,
Knowing his life was snuffed, like a torch to the wind's sighs.

I hope you shall prepare
For I shall show no mercy
When I smell blood in the air
My eye is on my prey now
There is little point in running
The stride of your beast of burden
Is of no consequence to my cunning
The night is falling all around you
Darkness and I are not far behind
The earth is an ally to finality
And there is no man Death doesn't find
It is quite unfortunate for you
To be dealing with the likes of me
My blade is something seen by many
But something none have lived to see
If you knew what was approaching
You would take your odds with a tainted meal
Than chance a dance, in the mountains
With the moons and myself at your heel
So one last word of precaution
A warning should you choose to heed it
If you see me pray for luck
'Cause when I come, you're going to need it.

How much is too much? How little is too little? What would be that perfect happy medium? I'm usually plagued with nightmares of a sort or another, but the dreams I've been having of late do nothing to help provide the answers I've been seeking, and so I've spent many a sleepless nights contemplating these things instead.
I just hope, in the end, I make the right decision.
What would you choose?

Relationship Note on Titus
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what would've been, what we could have done different, that we forget that these past things are stepping stones for something greater in our future. That we shouldn't dwell on them too much and naught that we can't keep them in our hearts. Rather inspiration to be a better person, definitely.
To flow like a river, ever changing.

The Rainbow Serpent danced upon the canvas of the sky and sea, adorned with pearlescent scales shimmering in every vibrant hue when the light touched it. It reveled in its radiant beauty, weaving ribbons of vibrant colours across the heavens and cascading through the depths of the boundless sea. With each graceful movement, it bestowed joy and wonder upon all who beheld its mesmerizing form. Yet, in its timeless wisdom, the Rainbow Serpent knew that growth and transformation required stillness and introspection. In reverence to the eternal cycle of existence, it would retreat to the sacred place of quiet solitude. There, hidden from the prying eyes of the world, the Rainbow Serpent would surrender to the essence of change, shedding its old skin, a magnificent tapestry of colours. As the skin touched the earth, it faded and merged with the soil, becoming one with the land that cradles our footsteps.
In this act of shedding, the Rainbow Serpent relinquished the burdens of the past, releasing the energies that no longer served its purpose. It surrendered to the healing touch of change. And as the Rainbow Serpent slumbered in its place of sacred solitude to contemplate the past and the future, its new skin began to form. Bit by bit, with each passing moment, it grew stronger, brighter and more vibrant. The Rainbow Serpent would emerge from its slumber with scales that glistened with renewed vigor and power and hope for a future worth fighting for.
So it is with our own existence. We too possess the the potential to undergo a profound metamorphosis. Just as the Rainbow Serpent sloughed its skin to become one with the earth, so too must we allow the remnants of our old selves to gracefully merge with the tapestry of our past experiences and life. We honour our history and embrace the lessons it has bestowed upon us, while eagerly stepping forward into the embrace of the unknown, brighter and hopefully wiser with the lessons of our past.
Embrace the Rainbow Serpent, to embrace the power to change, to shed the burdens that no longer serve our higher purpose. In the embrace of change, we find the essence of our truest selves and become catalysts of transformation, not only for ourselves but for the world that surrounds us.
Heed the wisdom of the Rainbow Serpent and embrace that transformative power that lies within us Shed our old skin, step into the light and become an embodiment of change, radiating with the luminosity of rebirth.

Have I been forgotten? What have I missed?
Older I am, maybe a little wiser too but this feels like being reborn again.

What was that scholar?
Yes. The dance under the stars was spectacular and I only miss that I hadn't time to have more dances, as I was called away at end of only the first dance. One which I will remember fondly, and seek to have many more. Else I end up in a dance debt and suddenly need to seek out Lady Mabelle's advice for how to get out of said debt.

I joined the Society when I first came to Arx from Tremorus. But not only did I learn more about the city, I got to see so many incredible places in the Compact. I made good friends, I learnt new skills, I challenged myself in ways I would have never thought when I started. Wandering about was always my passion in life, I am grateful I can combine it with my duties.
I look forward to what the future holds and will strive to do a good job.
