The Faith honors the brave sacrifice of the people of Stormwall, and is pleased and honored to be able to participate in helping them rebuild. The ambitious designs in the restoration from the Duke and Duchess will, I think, make the port of Stormwall into a center for culture and beauty in the future.
Also, it was a very comfortable hammock.

Relationship Note on Otakar
I have few memories of my childhood with Prince Otakar in them--but he remembers me and my 'dead tree' painting period I went through at one point. Yes, yes, everyone--that was indeed me. I thought someone would have figured it out by now! ...Surprise?
I am so glad that he is here and that we can get to know one another much better. And that he really wants to be my 'most favorite cousin'. Even if he is technically much closer in relation to my already 'most favorite cousin' than I am. He has his work cut out for him, but he's got a good spirit about the trying.
Either way, having him here is a wonderful thing for the family and I am so happy to spend time with him and get him acclimated to the city.

Thank you Reese, for thinking of both myself and Asger during your ceremony. I wish I could have stayed longer and been a part of the festivities further but I am thankful that someone as sincere as you put together (with lots of help, I know) such a ceremony to remember and recognize those that came together to fight in the Pirate War in a number of capacities.
It was beautiful.

Over the past month or two, Stormwall has received a /lot/ of donations. I can only give thanks to Gild for those that have been moved to support our trading efforts as well as donate.
I would like to recognize you all by name - and my notes are scattered. Let me try to gather them and touch on a few important acknowledgements:
Josephine Arcuri - A new, gifted crafter in the city has been selling Northern-themed items of note, and her proceeds have gone to help funding the rebuilding of Stormwall. Thank you, Josephine.
Mae Culler and Marian Redrain - with their color run so significantly successful, donated a portion of their proceeds to the rebuilding of Stormwall and Marian has been actively encouraging trade in the North to help raise writs on behalf of the NDC - which brings us to
The NDC - Khanne, on their behalf has donated a /significant/ amount of writs for the rebuilding and, well, we are moved beyond words. Thank you, all.
Orazio, on behalf of The Faith - A significant donation that has almost seen us to the end of our goals! We couldn't have done any of this without the Faith - from the defense to the rebuilding. Thank you.
House Gilden - Also a significant donation from House Gilden from the Baron himself. It was neither asked for, nor expected. Your generosity speaks volumes about you.
The Crown - with Rook's help, the Crown has given a good chunk of economic support to go toward the next phase of rebuilding efforts. Thank you King Alaric, and also thank you Rook for facilitating.
Others have helped in other capacities, including Valery, Briar, Signe, Malena, Elana, and everyone that helped with the investigation process - your support by lending your keen minds to the sticky situation we are left with has been invaluable.

Having escorted members of an Oathlands chapter of Mercies following loosely in the wake of the Arx missionary precession, it seems my arrival here in Arx predates that of my sister not by minutes as is our custom but rather, what is likely to be many, many days. The city is not unlike how it's often been described and for that, I can be thankful. We share barracks here with the Templars, so one is not left wanting for the sounds of bustling life all around. A daily routine, once formed, will be a great comfort to me.
Though I've not yet had the pleasure of coming face to face with the superiors to whom I am to report, their reputations precede them. Their names are rarely spoken here in Arx without affection or high esteem, lending to my belief that the pair of us coming here may indeed help to clear this dark cloud from above our heads.

Relationship Note on Seymour
None More Reliable Than Oak, indeed.
Thanks to Seymour Oak keeping the supply lines open, a trading post going, and masons and other needed artisans/crafters at the ready before we were even able to start to rebuild, the city is progressing far, far more quickly than I have ever expected.
I thought at first I might selfishly keep this information to myself, but... we couldn't have kept the city supplied during the war without him and we definitely couldn't have begun to rebuild and get it done so quickly without this man. Credit where credit is due - and he deserves it. He's reliable, efficient, and great at his job.

I took Joscelin's generous investment in me and found an old and dilapidated building on Merchant Road that wasn't being used for anything. It seemed to have been used by either a group of artisans with various specialties, or a single artisan with multiple interests, as the building contained a small workshop with a forge, a woodworking bench, a loom, a tanning rack, and other handy things.
So naturally, I put a significant down payment on the place and arranged for the shop to open in a few days' time. I've been doing most of the work getting things open, moving around shelves and tables, and making new ones. And, fortunately, there's a loft on the second floor I can sleep in. It's called Kaine's Captivating Crafts. I'm a sucker for alliteration, and I'll work on a cheeky sign.

It is hard to put the graciousness and generosity of House Grayson properly to words; any I consider seem to fail to fully encompass my feelings. Princess Reese's efforts, as well as those who aided her, are similarly beyond description. Thank you, Your Highness.
As well, I am deeply honored that a painting I made and donated was given as a gift to the King himself. I am genuinely humbled by as much.

While Prince Otakar and I did not cross paths much as children, his arrival in Arx already seems another blessing for our House. How exceptionally fortunate I am to have so much amazing family surrounding and supporting me.

I am eventually gonna record a book of sayings like this that people told me! I will have like a dozen books on Mae sayings. This is from Prince Otakar Redrain. I had a sudden moment of hope when he was giving this advice. I win battle after battle and spar after spar. When I don't win a spar, I think it take it well. We will see if I can keep my Grayson pride under control if I lose against Sir Jeffeth tomorrow! He is very very good and he beat me in a spar before. But I realized this advice could be applied socially too! And Socially is probably were I need to apply it. I don't need to take every social defeat of whatever kind personal, but get up, carry on and dust myself off and learn the lesson! He is a pretty smart prince. I am doing to learn to walk gracefully in social defeat or at least try. I might trip over my ribbons.
