The books are all but balanced, then -- like a afterthought, forgotten -- as I pursue another shining thing in another shop window. My hobbies are predictable.

The shackles finishing touches are saved by my feet up in our suite, looking at the walls around me.

Victus might not be happy when he comes into our rooms, things will have been changed. This is what happens when I am to be off my feet for long periods of time. I look at the walls and decide I want change.

Relationship Note on Michael

Unfortunately the cadence for the first place choice was taken when the Deepwoods of old chose their words.

'None Deeper Than Deepwood' would have served as inspiration, provoked philosophical thought, and been a suitable warning for some. Or an invitation for others, I suppose.

The problem -and joy- of asking questions is that sometimes you get answers.

The next test is what you do with those answers.

My fingertips are ink -- and wine -- stained. I couldn't care any less. My correspondences these days have been the most engaging.

If I am allowed to choose the family this seems like a fairly straightforward conundrum.

As a business owner, I am so pleased when people choose my shop to make their garments for those special occasions and even those not so special ones in which you really just don't want to be naked anymore. I enjoy hearing what people have made by my apprentices, the level of artistic imagination that flows throughout the city can be breathtaking and inspiring. Sometimes I dont understand their vision, but it certainly is not my place to. We each have our own and I am certain that some may not always understand mine in return.

So thank you to Arx, the city as a whole and each person from every walk of life, that breaths beauty into it.

A veteran of the Battle of Pridehall. I have heard his story told a few different ways from my home. He deserves the opportunity to work in Arx, his work was the best of Pridehall and all of the Compact should have a chance to see it.

Rivenshari and Navegant have become close friends over the years since they bent the knee to Greenmarch, a fact that I am overjoyed about The idea that I would actually plan a gala event is still a surprise to me, but here we are: a gala held on a flotilla of Rivenshari and Navegant ships - something I believe has not been done for a party.

So, we'll see how it goes. I'm glad to have had help, as this is not in my area of strength. But, the wisdom teaches, one does not get better at things by not doing them. The Whispers had better be on guard because at this rate I'll eventually steal all their party-planning contracts.

Relationship Note on Michael

"Steadfast as Stone" is something of a mouthful as well, my liege.

If it helps, my Rangers often shorten it to "as stone" while my sailors seem to prefer "steadfast" and as for myself, we'll I prefer to use it in writing.

I may strategize and command well, but I infinitely prefer my library to the battlefield.

I find myself, as of late, eating the same meals again and again.

We often celebrate the bounty the gods have given us, particularly those of us with the funds to enjoy whatever we like for our meals.

Yet again and again, I request the same thing from my kitchen. There must be some comfort in that, mustn't there?

Relationship Note on Marian

I had the pleasure of watching Princess Marian take part in a Rite of Gloria with Princess Coraline. They are both honourable and well-trained fighters, though Marian ultimately drew first blood. I was proud of her, as I have been, for her strength, resolve and dedication. She is one of the best fighters that I know, and I can think of no one better to have the mantle of Warchief for Redrain.

For discussion:

You are required to take all of the silver from a family, leaving them destitute. You may not ask for volunteers, and it must not be your own. This family must not then be given a gift to make up the loss. The silver is to be given to a merciless band of raiders who will - assuredly - pillage your whole village if you do not obey these strict commands and impoverish a family in your care.

Would you plan and implement a grievous but limited act of injustice in order to prevent someone else from carrying out a massive injustice with wider impact?

If you would, why?
If you would not, why not?
