To have seen the Pridehall Kite festival was quite something. The colours, the cheer and the joy brought on the face of the child there. Also the surprise to see Lord Michael become competitive with the fighting kites.

We are fortunate then to have so many nobles from House Bisland here for this to be shared with us.

Ramona - A Guard in Ashford House Colours, Bigsby - A Thoughtful Looking Young Man in Nondescript Clothing arrive, following Lisebet.

Mobility compromised, Rafael moves across the plaza at a measured pace. The Bisland lord's crisp Mercy robes are left loose to accommodate the clean bandaging wrapped tight around his ribs and torso. Settling beside Gabriel, he doesn't opt to bow like his brother but it's really only because he can't right now!

Sandor, the Tree Scout Captain, Nibbles, the Ashford Tree Squirrel arrive, following Rhiannon.

Duchess Cottontail, a gorgeous fluffy white angora kitten with odd eyes and a pretty pink ribbon, 2 Bisland pride guards, Luella Sedna, an influent and renowned pearl trader, Colin Laurent, a quiet and serene companion arrive, following Kaia.

Duchess Cottontail, a gorgeous fluffy white angora kitten with odd eyes and a pretty pink ribbon, 2 Bisland pride guards, Luella Sedna, an influent and renowned pearl trader, Colin Laurent, a quiet and serene companion leave, following Kaia.

The day is a lovely one and as if graced by the Gods themselves, their is a strong enough breeze for today's pastime. Marisol stands in soft pale green silks, the layers buffeted about her, waving like water in the wind as she holds to the leash of a collared lamb which has grown significantly and may very well soon be a sheep in its own right. Basil is munching on something or other as the Valardin Princess looks skyward, her dark curls laden by a wreathe of flowers.

She smiles warmly, not yet having a kite for herself as she reaches down to pet the lamb, her lady's maid, Torrence stands beside her and the Valardin guard in the colored livery is not very far away.

2 Bisland pride guards arrives, following Kaia.

Michael is more or less in charge of today's event, having directed servants and guards to set out tables covered in brightly colored paper and silk kites. Ronja of /all/ people is in charge of distributing kites for the moment while Michael drinks lemonade and heckles Ronja a bit. "Don't you think that Kite is a little large for the child? Its nearly as big as she is!"

Reese arrives at the gathering while adorned in her rosy tunic and sleek ivory leggings. She has pink ribbons tangled up on her golden lock. The girl moves with the easy grace of a warrior princess. She peeks over the gathering, trying to get a sense for things here. She smiles over to Marisol. "Greetings Princess." She then looks upon Rafael. "It looks like you have been injured?" She asks with some concern.

Amantha gives a quick glance to her sheath as she aproaches the plaza. She gives a small nod to anyone present as she looks around. "Nice weather" she remarks to no one in particular

This is close enough that Lisebet feels good about coming on over. She's about wider than she's tall really right now. At least in the belly! She wanders in, smiling as she spies folks she recognizes and ignoring the hovering Ashford servants.

Rhiannon finds a spot out of the way. Which means that she's in a tree overlooking the plaza, sitting openly on a branch and watching the kites go up and the kids running around and having a good time. As usual, she looks far too serious for such an event.

Reese looks over to Amantha, giving her a smile as well. "It is very nice out today." She say. The princes waves to Michael. She then turns to Lisebet. "Oh, wow, congrats and you are very lovely Duchess Lisebet."

Lark, like many Graysons, has spent some of her youth at Pridehall. The kite festival is not unknown to her, perhaps the nostalgia bringing the former High Lady of the Crownlands out today to join the festivities. The diminutive princess, dressed in grey with gryphon embroidery, is trailed by two enormous mastiffs. She moves for Gabriel as he greets people, offering her own quiet, "Duke Bisland, good afternoon. Sometimes, it is nice to be reminded of simpler times, of childhood, in days like these."

Marisol lifts her hand to shield her eyes as Reese says her name and the Valardin turns, taking hold of the leash in her other hand. "Princess Reese, always a pleasure to see you," she admits, her smile growing rather fondly for the other. Her gaze follows Reese towards Rafael, a brow rising with obvious surprise. Her lips part and close, waiting for the answer that he is likely to give. A brief glance is sent towards Michael and Ronja, her smile returning slowly. Her eyes wander as the others being to arrive and she lifts her hand to them, Lisebet gets a nod, "Would you care for a chair, duchess?"

The breeze that thankfully lifts the kites, also casts itself over the fine sleeves of the Lord Martino's doublet and shirt. "Oh, my Lady Kaia... why did you not say that Pridehall has a kite festival? The summer is, truly, my favourite season. Lottie's breakfast was superb this morning also, was it not?" The Malvici Lord and Lady Kaia Bisland step in, elbow in elbow, to the grounds from Her Ladyship's tea gardens.

Gabriel bows neatly to Princess Lark and smiles "Indeed, highness. I'm happy you could attend and share in our revelry."

Ronja Sandreef is in her sundress, which is all well and good except for how it shows off the various rude pirate tattoos on her arms and shoulders and upper chest and so on. Her hair is still woven with various braids and threaded with beads for that dash of way-west island-life flavor. Would you trust this woman to give your child a kite? "Well, that's how they learn, isn't it?" Ronja replies over her shoulder to Michael, and then in sotto voce to the child she's giving a too-big kite: "Prove him wrong, eh?"

Lisebet offers a nod to Princess Marisol, and then to Reese as well. "Thank you, your highness," she replies. To both, really. A smile crosses her face, and she adds, "At this point, I never say no to a seat, thank you." Reese gets a dimpled half shrug. "I thank you - though I do wonder if my toes are still there sometimes."

r Marisol quickly turns her attention to Ektor, the guard is watching keenly but nearly misses the motion. He is off then after a quick word to gather up a cushioned chair and bring it over. It is set down to provide the Duchess a grand view while offering comfort. "Thank you, Ektor," Marisol remarks and smiles at Lisebet, "I can imagine, best not to overly stress the moment, sit when you wish, walk when you want." She reaches down to pet Basil's head and lets her hand linger. "Soon I take it?" she asks of Lisebet.

Reese continues further inside. She looks over to Lark, smilingly gently to her. "Greetings Princes Lark." She says. The knight then waves happily to Martino. Reese turns to Gabriel next. "Duke Gabriel, it is good to see you again." She adds, before noticing Ronja. "Oh, a sundress you got it, I like it." She says cheerfully.

"Of course," Lark replies, tipping her chin in a respectful gesture to Gabriel. As Reese greets her, she nods to the other Grayson princess as well, offering, "Good afternoon, Princess Reese." There is a pause, silence as her dark gaze flicks from the mingling nobility to the children before she drops her voice to a whisper to murmur to Gabriel.

"Yes, I have," Rafael confirms Reese with a gentle nod, his calm and patient demeanor coming through far beyond any discomfort he might be feeling. "Not anything kite related, so we should be safe today." He bends as much as he can out of respect for Lark as she settles nearby the Duke.

Michael does catch sight of Lisebet and his eyes go a bit wide before he leans sideways towards Ronja. "Something is /in/ there. I swear it. Stomachs don't just do that by themselves." He is sort of quiet, sort of. Perhaps it won't be overheard.

Gabriel bows also to Reese, "Your Highness, thank you for coming. It is good to see you as well." Then with a neat bow, he welcomes the Duchess "Hello, Lisebet. You look very well. Iona passes along her well-wishes."

Eina, Soot, a ferret, 2 Byrne Mountain Men arrive, following Peri.

As Rafael nods to her, Lark's ink-dark gaze settles like a weight on him, studying him for a moment, giving away nothing.

"Fair Duke Bisland, a pleasure to see you once again." Martino bows low with his niece Kaia with him beside, "Truly, my thanks as well for bringing the festival of Pridehall to the city here." The corner's of Martino's eyes crease before he inclines his head to the other gathered Bisland, Princess Marisol. Once also for Reese, "Good hosts, Princess."

Amantha sequesters herself to one side, she smiles slightly as she looks up towards some of the flying kites.

"Not soon enough," is Lisebet's immediate reaction. She laughs though, and then nods. "Yes, soon. I hope." Surely it must be, judging by the size of her! She totally takes advantage of the special treatment, settling into her seat. "Thank you, Princess Marisol. You are very kind." Her gaze goes to Michael, amusement flaring across her face, and she rubs her belly perhaps on purpose. Then she inclines her head, attention drawn to Gabriel with a nod of her own. "Thank you, m'lord. Please return my compliments. It is good to see you, and everyone." There is a brief glance up at the sky and any nearby trees, before she settles down to regarding all the kites.

Kaia takes a look around the plaza, the sight of the crowd of family, friends and future friends bringing a smile to her face. She lets out a small chuckle at Martino's words. "Oh really? Well...now you know!" she says with a bright grin. "Oh! --and, yes, indeed it was!" she agrees, about breakfast at Lottie's. Her eyes moving now around the crowd in search of familiar faces. "Shall we go greet them?"

Ronja smiles at Reese and is about to reply when Michael leans in to whisper something. "Ah! Well. There's a reason for that, my Lord. Not being of noble station myself it would hardly behoove me to explain to you the whole... process that leads to such results, but maybe Princess Reese can fill you in." Another smile to Reese. "Thank you for the compliment, Your Highness. Lord Michael himself picked the dress you. The only work I put in was slipping it on."

Gabriel murmurs quietly for Princess Lark's ears, "Yes, I think a meeting is necessary. Orrin and his folk are my guests for now, should you need to meet with them."

Rafael leans his weight from one foot to the other while under scrutiny and quite conveniently, finds anything to look at. Oh, look! A kite.

Reese looks over to Rafael, the girl nodding in response to his words and her concern seems to linger. "I hope you are fully covered soon. I'm Princess Reese. I am not sure if we met." She says softly to him. She then turns to Ronja. "You look very lovely in, the tattoos only add to the effect and Lord Michael has good taste." She says before heading to thee kites and starting to put together a pink and ribboned one.

"Lord Martino," Marisol greets him warmly, drawing basil away from inspecting Lisebet's dress. She smiles and then lifts her attention to the others as they arrive, so very few she recognizes. "I will send along my best wishes when your new joy arrives, Duchess," she offers, giving a careful pull on the sheep to move her closer so she might meet the new faces. "Welcome," She says to Lark, "Princess Marisol, it is a pleasure to meet you," says the Valardin, basil bleating out her own greeting. "Duke Gabriel," her eyes tick over to Rafael, offering him a nod.

Gabriel inclines his head to Lord Martino graciously and says, "Good to see you as well, Lord Martino. All compliments should go to my son and the Princess Marisol. They are the architects of all this and deserve the full measure of credit."

Martino is overheard praising Marisol: Lovely idea and a lovely day for it

Martino is overheard praising Michael: Pridehall Kites are pretty!

Peri Seliki enters the plaza from Bisland Manor. Her are shadowed from little sleep. She walks to some statue of a solder and leans against them as if leaning against a friend. She looks up in the sky and shades her eyes. The sky looks kite worthy. She does not have a kite with her, nor ddoes she find one. She simply rests against the statue and watches people.

Lark nods simply to Gabriel, offering a quiet answer, "For now, then, I shall leave you to focus on your guests of this revelry." As Marisol greets her, she turns away to the princess. "Princess Lark Grayson," she introduces to Marisol. "Hopefully you are enjoying the festivities?" She makes a gesture, a simple flick of fingers towards the two massive mastiffs, before she draws away from the host and further into the party, leaving Marisol with the hint of a smile, maybe. She moves with purpose towards Peri, her dogs following.

"Stop spreading that information, Captain." Michael side-eyes Ronja something fierce. "If you keep telling people I picked out a dress for you they are going to make assumptions. Assumptions which are bad and not becoming of a lord like myself. I will not have it known that I am so amazing at picking out frilly dresses for women. Even if it is very true."

A child is tugging at Michael's sleeve, eyes big and full of tears while brandishing a very torn paper kite. "What did you /do/? It has been mangled. Oh dear. I talked to you about this, if you fly your kite into other people's kites. It'll get ripped." But the Lord Bisland pulls out something from underneath a table. A rather large yellow and grey kite, with a Bisland Lion clearly emblazoned upon the silk of it. "Should've used Silk, it doesn't rip very easily. Go decimate the enemy forces."

Mara, a harried steward, Jackie arrive, following Cadern.

Martino is overheard praising Gabriel: Kindly indicated others as the hosts, but it's the Duke's old tradition

"You're kind," Rafael says to Reese in a tone of thanks, "Lord Rafael, your Highness. Tales of your feats in the battlefield precede you." Mindful of his current physical state, the wounded Mercy neglects to bend further but presses his blue eyes into a gentle smile to acknowledge Marisol's nod. As actual kite flying begins to occur, he does step backward some to make way for the professionals (crying children).

Rafael has joined the Their Majesties in the Garden, Made of Glass and Silk.

Rhiannon's squirrel jumps down from the tree and it climbs up Lisebet's chair to sit on her shoulder. She knows this squirrel very well. Likely too well. Rhiannon is still very quietly in that tree.

Reese is working on her kite. "Probably better a picking out dresses than I am." she says to Michael. She then starts dangling ribbons from the kite, maybe too many really. Reese turns to Rafael a moment later, princess seemingly flattered by his words. "Thank you. I am flattered you heard of me. I do my best in battles and well am grateful when battles can be avoided. Are you a healer?" She asks of him.

Lisebet jumps a bit, at an animal, and then recognizes Nibbles. She promptly looks around again, trying to see where Rhiannon is. "Hullo there, little squirrel," she says, bbreath caught back after the startle. "It's a beautiful day, and it looks like everyone is having a lot of fun! I am glad to get out and share some time with everyone." Finally, she catches sight of Rhiannon's hidey-spot, and she nods to herself.

Kaia makes a courtesy to the royals and noble peers gathered. "Your highnesses; so lovely to see you all." she says with a sweet smile, before glancing at her family members. "Uncle; Cousins.

Martino's lips escape with a hushed chuckle to Michael, "Ah, your Lordship... I did not realise you were so keen on kite fighting. My, a surprise!" The corner's of sharp green eyes crease as he assures the Duke Gabriel, "Of course, good Duke. Of course." His head bows low once more to Rafael, "Lord Rafael. A pleasure... Lord Martino Malvici." He turns his chin to Kaia to check, "Uncle of yours, yes?"

"Ah," Ronja says back to Michael when he gives her the side-eye. She seems unfazed by it. "So you listened to me when I said the exact same thing to YOU those months back. I make a good mentor for you, don't I?" And then a smug little grin. Then she lets Michael tend to the child with the torn kite, and she goes back to handing out paper ones to any who come up for one, child or adult. "Right, no fighting, you'll all get one, I've only got two hands, haven't I--"

Kaia says, "This is quite the gathering.~"*"

Gabriel has a smile for his niece, and greets her "Hello Kaia. Its good to see you. Welcome, welcome..."

"A pleasure to meet you, Princess, I hope you are as well," Marisol says, her hand continue to press to the curled mop of a head beside her. Her gaze slips towards Gabriel, "Too kind, Duke Gabriel. Just a wish for Michael to be out of doors, I think," she muses and then glances up at Rafael, moving to join him as she arches the children seek out Michael. she lets out a breath and then commends to Rafael, "I fear we have not met," she says as Basil gets a little finicky and pulls upon her leash.

Reese checked willpower at difficulty 15, rolling 8 higher.

Cadern picks his way into the area letting his eyes wander curiously surveying the festivities. HE winds his way through kite makers smiling and spotting a familiar figure in a tree he raises a hand and waves to Rhiannon. He stands near Lisebet to look on curiously for the moment watching the different participants.

Martino lifts his chin to faintly smile, a warm expression dances upon his face as he welcomes to Peri, "Oh Lady Peri... oh please. Have bread with Kaia and I?" Martino asks and glances to the bread oven, picking somewhere to lead Kaia across, "We have someone to ask you on."

Martino has joined the by the brick outdoor bread oven.

Reese notices the children jostling over kites. She looks down to her kite and then over to the kids and then back to her kite. The hoarder princess seems to be deeply conflicted, but eventually she hands her kite one of the kids, giving them a dimpled smile. It is a pink ribboned kite. She also has a smile for Cadern. The girl then starts to making another kite, but this one isn't pink and maybe not for herself.

Lisebet smiles to Cadern as he stands near. "It looks like a lot of fun. YOu should try your hand at flying one!"

Peri has joined the by the brick outdoor bread oven.

Nibbles leaps from Lisebet's shoulder up to Cadern's and chitters in his ear about something. Rhiannon appears behind the pair and offers the squirrel a nut from a pouch at her belt. For once, her bright golden hair isn't covered, though a scarf is tucked into her belt. The squirrel calms after the nut if offered and instead turns attention to nibbling on it. "How are you feeling, cousin?" she asks Lisebet.

Gabriel appears to be wandering about, mingling with guests. For a moment, he gathers Marisol's arm and walks alongside her. Quietly he asks, "Do you and Michael have everything you need? More kites or cord or whatnot?"

Lark ends up settling at the statue that Peri abandons, taking a seat on a bench nearby as she watches the festivities.

Martino's greeting draws Peri's attention. Her face is not lively, but she brings forth a weak smile. She looks around until her gazes touches upon Kaia and there is another smile with a far away look. She walks over to Martino and greets him. "Lord Martino." She inclines her head. "I hope you are well."

"THATS MY UNCLE RAFAEL! Lord Rafael Bisland! He needs more instruction on how to duck." Because Michael might enjoy razzing his uncle, he'll come around ot go and stand near Marisol and Rafael and /intrude/. "Sweet little lamb, you've gotten plump. If you weren't so sweet someone might eat you."

"I have left all of that for the servants, Father. Well. And Ronja. I put her to captaining a ship in the customs checks off of the Mother River." The Mother River leading up to Twainfort and splitting there. Towards Longwood. "Ronja, come and meet Duke Gabriel Bisland."

"That I am," Rafael confirms for Reese, again. "A Mercy. May you have little need for one, though warriors always do." One hand comes up to press smooth the half-open flap of his layered healer's robes. He searches out a seated position as well. "We haven't, no. Lord Rafael," Raf tells Marisol, "You've done an excellent job wrangling my nephew into his element. Kudos."

Cadern smiles at Lisebet, "Oh? Maybe I should. It seems enjoyable. But I can watch a few and decide?" He glances at the chittering creature and scritches it before laughing. HE turns towards Rhiannon smiling, "Rhiannon, lurking as always. How are you? Enjoying the festivities?" He asks in amusement.

Kaia nods to Martino. "That is correct." she replies to Martino, before offering a smile to Rafael. "Uncle Rafael, it's been quite a while! I trust you have been well?~" her eyes setting momentarily on Marisol. "Ah! Princess Marisol! Hello! You look lovely as always.~" she chimes cheerfully, before her eyes set on the...goat? "Oh! Who is this lovely thing?!~"

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Peri before departing.

Shazza lingers quietly by a table of kites as children giddily claim their choice. A smile curls on her face as a young girl turns a kite over in her hands this way and that, examining the decoration worked on the soarer's thin fabric. She seems content to observe, a look in her eye that's perhaps nostalgic for her own youth.

As Gabriel sets in beside her, Marisol's head turns to look up at the Duke, briefly caught off guard she quickly settles into stride with him. Michael's comment about Basil as the Princesses gaze widening, "No mutton today, Michael, please," she remarks and then huffs out a breath her smile returning as she shakes her head, "I think not, perhaps in a little while. Far more people than I thought would attend but you are kind." She releases Basil to Torrence and settles her other hand against Gabriel's arm that has her own.

Her gaze looks to Rafael, "Oh...well I think perhaps I am just a good example. I hope at the very least but it is a true pleasure Lord Rafael. I am sorry we have not had the chance to meet until now."

Kaia has joined the by the brick outdoor bread oven.

Lisebet nods to Cadern. "Of course!" she replies immediately. Rhiannon gets a grin as she now is there with nuts for the squirrel. She glances about, catching sight of Shazza and Kaia and everyone!

"Lady Kaia, good to see you again. Cheerful as always and just as sweet," Marisol offers in kind.

Ronja is occupied for a moment breaking up a dispute between two little boys who both want the same red kite and are having a minor tug-of-war. "Oi! You two! None of that, now! Look, there's another red one here-- You know what would have happened to me if I was carrying on like that when I was your age? I'd have gotten a fist to the back of my head, that's what--" This charming bit of reminiscing is broken up by Michael calling to her. She takes the red kite away from both boys and is carrying it as she heads over in the direction she's been summoned. "Duke Gabriel," she says, approaching and offering a curtsy. She's still pretty bad at them, but she's trying.

Rhiannon blinks at Cadern once and then looks out over the kite flying. "I'm not going to fly a kite. I'd moor it in a tree irrevocably and then I'd never come back after rescuing it. Isn't this a lot of people?" Her eyes scan the gathering. "At least it's outside. I do appreciate that this one is outside."

Gabriel bows his head to Ronja, "Well met, Captain. I confess I was just down to the docks this morning seeking answers to some sailing questions. This is fortuitous."

Reese peeks over to Michael at his words and then turns her attention back to Rafael. "I probably will heave need for one. I get hurt less than I used to, but I still get injured sometimes. But I always like to know all the mercies and healers. You are Duke Gabriel's brother?" She asks.

Cadern glances to Rhiannon, "Why not? I'm sure it'd be useful for scouting." He suggests innocently before grinning, "You would just sneak up into the tree and hide i'm sure." He says and he glances around. "Is this a good place for such flying?" HE asks of Lisebeth.

Lisebet gives an apologetic look to Cadern, and shrugs delicately. "I honestly don't know but people are having fun, it seems." Her look to Rhiannon on the other hand is mischievous. "But how would you make sure I don't get into trouble that way, cousin? I wonder if someone would fly a kite on my behalf. Just for some amusement."

Kaia smiles at Marisol, then at Lisebet and Reese as she walks by, offering little waves before finding a spot by the bread oven where Martino and Peri were at. "Peri dear!~" she chimes softly, before embracing her friend in a hug. She seems to whisper something to her before letting go.

Peri checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 13 higher. Peri rolled a critical!

Reese peeks over to Kaia. "Lady Kaia, hi." She say toward her. "It is very nice to see you. It always is." She adds a moment later. The princess seems to be in a cheerful mood and she is making kites, although seemingly not for herself. She then notices Peri, giving her a gentle smile that touches her blue eyes. She looks over to Lark a moment later. "I wanted to invite you over to my tower sometime, to visit, if you want Princess Lark."

Shazza gently clucks her tongue once on spotting a boy who's cut his kite sharply through the air only to have it lose its wind and fall in a tangled heap. Patiently, she moves to assist the child as tears threaten at the corners of his dewy eyes. "This way, hm?" She isn't doting or motherly in her manner. Rather, she only shows the child the first steps and encourages him to figure on his own how to see the kite lifted again to the wind.

Basil is a bit of a handful at the moment as Torrence tugs the lamb no sheep along, freeing Marisol up to consider the kites. She tilts her head and releases Gabriel's arm as Ronja gets near. "Ronja," she says brightly, her gaze lingering on the Captain before her attention settles on Michael. "I think your uncle believes I have been a good influence. I will take the compliment." She intones and then looks to Rafael, "Lord Rafael, are you feeling well enough to fly a kite with me?" she offers, noting he had just taken to sit.

Peri does not shout out Kaia's name as she is wont to do to friends, but her face softens into a more genuine smile as she greets her friend. She accepts the hug and her face slowly returns to a neutral and composed expression.

"No need to feel sorry. We're meeting now, aren't we?" Rafael counters Marisol where she rests on his brother's arm and to Reese he says, "His much younger brother, for sure." Kaia's smile is returned as she seems to make her rounds. "Quite well enough," he answers with no great interest in raising his voice above the growing crowds. Careful off his wrappings, he eases down onto a bench to contently observe. At the prospect of actually flying a kite, though, Rafael actually starts to look a bit helpless. He holds up a hand as if to say, 'Please... please no.' So hurt. Cannot.

Ronja smiles brightly at the topic immediately shifting to sailing -- as if the hodgepodge of crude tattoos on her flesh and the islander hairstyle wasn't enough of a clue that she'd love to talk about it. The smile stays even as she curtsies to Marisol (it's still not great and might never be). "Your Highness," she says, and then the redhead turns back to Gabriel: "Well -- if they didn't answer your questions there, my Lord, I'm sure I could have a whack at it..." Her accent is from waaay out west, with a drawl as sun-baked as her skin tone.

"Oh, at this point they think anyone influencing me is good. But I agree. You're a good influence, your highness. Bye Bye future dinner." Michael intones to Basil who is being led away before turning to wink to Marisol. "Good. I found someone to talk boats so I don't have to." Boats go on ships, ships.

"Leave Basil alone," Marisol quips to Michael but then inclines her head to Rafael who finds comfort where he chooses to sit. A brief sympathetic look and then she winks at Ronja before stepping towards Michael and taking his arm instead of Gabriel's she says, "It seems that you are stuck flying a kite with me. I think your father shall be kept in conversation with the Captain who is looking quite charming in her dress," she admits and then gives Michael a little tug. "Kite flying is better with company."

Lark inclines her chin to Reese, accepting with that gesture as she answers, "I have heard much about it but haven't had the chance to see it for myself. Do you now live there, full-time, Princess Reese?" She scratches idly at Songbird's ear, looking across the festivities.

Martino is in hushed murmur with the Ladies Kaia and Peri, his forehead furrowed a moment as he shakes his head for a moment, "Mmm." The bread from the oven is pulled apart, a small piece added to his mouth.

Reese nods in response to Rafael's words, giving the man another dimpled smile. She hands out the blue kite that she just made and starts on a green one. "I have been living there. It has huge collections of stuff." Reese adds to Lark. "Books, art, figurines and other things."

Rhiannon stares down at Lisebet's head for a moment and then clears her throat. "I do not think that flying kites are in my skillset, Duchess. But if you like, I can go get one started and hand you the string."

Gabriel curiously engages the western Captain with a question... or thirty... about short drafted sailing barges and river commerce. "How much cargo do you think they could carry?" His words are genuine and only distracted by the occasional mending of a missing kite tail or a grandfatherly pat on the head of a random child.

"Given what I saw of your collections at the mansion, I look forward to seeing it in a tower of its own," Lark replies musingly, rising from the bench. "Send me word, soon, when you have the time to show me, Princess Reese." With that, she offers Reese a rare, light smile before she moves back towards the Grayson mansion.

Lisebet chuckles. "Well, that is the most difficult part, so if ou can do that, and bring me a flying kite string, by all means." That tease to Rhiannon, literally just to see what the Ashford cousin will say. She waves to Kaia, Peri and Martino, but it's a big party and they're over there so she doesn't interrupt. Ronja is noted, oh yes, sundress and all. Aha! That will get mentioned. Later.

"Oh no. Kite flying. Whatever am I to do?" Michael's elbow cants out to let Marisol grip at his arm comfortably. "I have something silk and light for us to fly if you so desire, my princess. I'm keeping it sequestered over yonder." A hand points off towards a table being manned by a Bisland Guard who 'lucked' into the duty.

Cadern grins at Lisebet and nods, "Well only one way to find out." He looks to Rhiannon, "You aren't going to show her how to fly one?" He says in playful reproach and watches curious.

Reese looks over to Lark, giving her a smile. "Okay, Princess Lark, I would be honored." She says. She peek over to Shazza with a smile and then starts over to the bread oven, curling up there.

Reese has joined the by the brick outdoor bread oven.

2 Grayson House Guards, Songbird, a dignified war-mastiff, Crom, an expressive bull-mastiff leave, following Lark.

"Please do Lady Peri. Your father, your family, have always been close with us. Being by the coast. It is so dearly important to care for each." Martino's voice lifts a moment higher, before returning back to the hushed conversations. "Oh did you see----" After a while, he gives across a broad smile to Duchess Lisebet, welcoming her to join them with a bow of his head.

Kaia nods to Peri before her eyes shift back towards the direction of Reese. "Likewise your highness.~" she replies, before her attention is once more directed towards Peri and Martino. She waits for Martino to pull apart yet another piece and playfully takes it away from him. "Thank you~" she chimes, followed by a chuckle, before popping it into her mouth.

Martino is overheard praising Kaia: Always looking after my figure by stealing the bread

'you will enjoy it," she intones to Michael as she glides with him towards the kites. She pauses when he mentions a specific kite being set aside. Marisol tilts her head, glancing aside towards it and then gives a nod. She leans in to speak softly with Michael a moment, moving to follow him in the direction of the poor guard as her own, Ektor, follows behind.

Martino has left the by the brick outdoor bread oven.

Ronja engages all thirty of the questions from Gabriel with enthusiasm that far outstrips any she might have shown for kites. She does get distracted for a moment watching Reese and Lark talk at a distance, and then Lark leaving, but probably mostly because they just happened to be in the direction she was facing. "--well it really depends on the construction, in all honesty, my Lord, because you gain a little or lose a little based on how well-built a barge it is and all of that, besides there's alos the draft they can load to and what exactly it is you're meant to be ferrying, which I know sounds like a lot of bothersome math, yes, but really it's all fairly simple when you--" She just goes on and on like this. At least the dress is nice.

Reese curls by the bread oven, having a gentle smile or Peri and Kaia. She then looks over to Ronja. "I you want to visit the tower sometime too, Ronja, you are very welcome. I like company. It gets lonely living a tower sometimes."

Rhiannon looks at Cadern a moment and then turns to look down at Lisebet. "I am sure that Lord Cadern is very good at kite flying. He could likely get it into the air far faster than I could."

Shazza returns Reese's smile as she lifts a hand to shield her eyes from the sun. The boy she helped not long ago has got his flyer in the sky again, its red fabric buffeting proudly in the wind.

Peri is mostly quiet, though she chats now and again with the friends around her. The sounds of kids running and their shouts of triumph when their kites sour wash over her, and she soaks it in. Her posture slowly unstiffens.

Gabriel wanders around the plaza with Ronja, generally babbling about various types of sailing vessels. Stopping near Duchess Ashford, the old Duke asks her "Is there anything else I can get you to make you more comfortable, my lady?"

Reese is overheard praising Marisol: Great party!

Reese is overheard praising Gabriel: A thoughtful Duke!

Reese is overheard praising Michael: Great party!

Reese is overheard praising Ronja: Yellow undress and tattoos! and dreadfully cute slippers and kites and boats!

Reese is overheard praising Kaia: Always so charming and welcoming.

Reese is overheard praising Lisebet: Yay, The Duchess and her future little one!

After a bit of quiet conversation, the arrival of a Malvici messenger and equally subtle farewells the Lord Martino Malvici at some point takes his leave. Meanwhile Kaia and Peri continue to converse.

Ronja looks to Reese while Gabriel is distracted for a moment. "You have a TOWER?" she asks. "I thought those were mostly for dungeons." Then, a wry smile. "Though I'm sure your dungeon would be the prettiest and pinkest of all, Your Highness."

Gabriel is overheard praising Michael: Great work organizing the kite festival!

Gabriel is overheard praising Marisol: Great work getting Michael outside and organizing the kite festival!

"I should get a pink dungeon. I would cover in it pillows and not lock anyone up, because well I wouldn't want an actual dungeon." Reese says in response to Ronja. "I do have a tower though. A very tall one filled with stuff." She then smiles over to Shazza as well. "Greetings. I'm Princess Reese." She say toward her.

Cadern smiles at Rhiannon, "I can do it if you want though I'm sure Lisebet wants to see you do one." HE shrugs as he looks about for a kite to bring over to the two. He does glance over to the larger group but seems content to leave them be.

Lisebet laughs and then suggests, "You could both try?" she offers, with amusement. "I promise to stay here and chat nicely, while you do." She nods to Gabriel as he arrives. "Duke Gabriel, I am well, thank you. Perhaps see if you can convince these two that I shall be entirely safe while they try their hands at kite flying. They are very sweet and thoughtful, aren't they?"

Rafael politely excuses himself, likely retreating back towards the Bisland manse to rest.

Rafael has left the Their Majesties in the Garden, Made of Glass and Silk.

Peri stands quietly near her friends, but as time passes she begins to take on that tired and worried look. She hugs Kaia, mumbles "Thank you", and slowly returns to Bisland Manor.

Peri has left the by the brick outdoor bread oven.

Eina, Soot, a ferret, 2 Byrne Mountain Men leave, following Peri.

"Oh will I?" Michael intones right back to Marisol as he is led towards the kite, he'll pick it up by the crossbeams and show her the lion emblazoned on it too. "I gave the other one away to...Oh! There it is!" A copy of the kite he holds is dancing through the sky and slamming into other kites to knock them from flight. "Maybe I shouldn't have done that..."

"Well, when it comes to places filled with things, the ones filled with stuff are my favorites," Ronja replies to Reeze with a grin. "I need to say hello to Duchess Lisebet before this all wraps up, if you'll excuse me, Your Highness..." And so Ronja slips away, towards Lisebet. After all, one can't neglect family.

Shazza takes her eyes from the sky to dip her head respectfully to Reese when she's addressed. "Your highness," she says, warmly. "Shazza Sedna. What a lovely day. Blue skies and clear."

Rhiannon looks up as Gabriel greets Lisebet and then down at her Duchess and back at Cadern. "Well, I think we shall try our hand at kite flying. Have you done it before, Lord Cadern?" she starts to follow him to get a kite for flying.

Reese gives Ronja another smile. She then turn to Shazza. "I'm Princess Reese. I don't think we have met before and it is a lovely day. Perfect for a kite festival." She says says. She stays curled-p on the graze, seemingly relaxing.

Gabriel agrees with the duchess, "They are protective and that speaks well of them. I promise to take the watch while you have fun. May I join you?" With a gesture, the Duke settles beside Duchess Ashford to observe.

Marisol glances up to look at the sky with a similar kite and smiles brightly, the flowers standing out against her dark curls. She leans into his side and rests her cheek upon his shoulder as she shakes her head, "It is fine, it means we fly this one together." She intones. She releases the Bisland Lord so that the string may be set and the kite let free to the sky. "It has been ages," the Princess admits to her Grayson counterpart.

Kaia has left the by the brick outdoor bread oven.

Cadern inclines his head to Gabriel bowing lightly as he takes up settling near Lisebet. He smiles at the Duchess and he offers a kite to Rhiannon and smiles, "When I was young, not anytime soon. From what I recall it was a lot of running..." He grins, "Mostly I remember trying to steal Aella's kite."

Shazza nods to Reese as she takes up a kite that had fallen to the ground, forgotten by a child grown frustrated. The nobility, of course, would likely take an unclaimed kite from the table, but a commoner can stoop to reclaim what's been used. After dusting the fabric off and checking for breaks in the wood (and finding none), she winds its length of string around a thin finger. "We have not met, your highness. I'm sure I'd remember! And, yes, a perfect day. It reminds me of being young. I can remember flying kites by the sea near Pearlspire. It seems so long ago," she says as she slowly unspools the string. The kite takes to a breeze and rises to hover above, its tail fluttering against the vast blue.

Lisebet smiles as Ronja approaches. "You look wonderful, Ronja," she says warmly. She grins at Cadern and Rhiannon. "Have fun! That's the most important thing."

Kaia would at last get up from her spot by the bread oven and walk over closer to...wherever the available kites were at.

"It has been a few years since I've been back in Pridehall for the festival. You may have to remind me how to do this." He'll hand over the block of wood holding the wound up cord and takes up the kite to steadily walk backwards from Marisol to let her play out the cord. "I think you're going to be the one running? Or would you like me to?"

"And you as well, my Lady," Ronja says, busting out yet another bad curtsy to greet Lisebet. Her smile is big. "And not long from now it'll be another little Ashford I'll be greeting! Ah, it's exciting, isn't it--? I mean, if you've already had this conversation forty times at this Kite Festival alone, my deepest apologies, but-- wow!"

Lifitng a hand to adjust the wreathe of flowers, Marisol lets out a soft laugh at Michael's suggestion that she might run, "No, definitely you," she calls back. She grips the block with its string, slowly letting out more for him and allowing it to turn in her grip so that he can get some distance. She watches him curiously, waiting and then she is nodding to him, explaining she is ready.

Reese looks upon Shazza, giving her a gentle smile ad nodding in response. "Are you from Pearlspire?" She asks of her while still curled-up.

Lisebet smiles at Ronja. "Thank you," she says easily. If it's been forty, she's not telling. "It is very exciting, yes, and I will be quite pleased when this little one is born. I expect that everyone will be glad when the raspberries are safe from me."

Shazza unloops a few fingers' length of string to cure her kite of jitters as the wind picks up. She's a steady hand with flying it and adjusts the length to maintain a steady levitation, the flyer quite high in the sky now. She smiles over to Reese and confirms, "Yes! My family's involved with the pearl trade there. A beautiful place. I do miss it at times, but Arx has its own charms, of course." Her response is enthusiastic but tempered with politeness.

Gabriel is very uncharacteristically lounging and watching Michael and Marisol struggle with their kite when his Aide-De-Camp enters and makes his way to the Duke. Unobtrusively, the soldier delivers a message. The news is apparently of some import, and the expression on Gabriel's face changes. "Please excuse me, Lisebet? My best to your husband." He stands and with polite bows to the guests, makes his way toward the Bisland barracks.

2 Bisland Guards leaves, following Gabriel.

"But why me? I'm holding the kite!" Michael gets enough distance between himself and Marisol, nearly glowering at her before he begins to run sideways a bit before flinging the kite into the air. "Pull! Or something!" He doesn't know how kites work very well.

Rhiannon looks over at Cadern as she grabs a kite. "Well that's what happens with sisters. I remember Eurion always stealing the oars when we'd go out in a rowboat. So, running? That shouldn't be too hard." She peers at the kite as though it's a foreign object. "I have only dealt with kites getting them out of trees. I was good at that."

Kaldur emerges from the dour maw of Seliki's manor flanked by watchful Crovane axemen. He pauses, blinking at the bright profusion and cheer, not quite sure how to best navigate the children running to and fro and the kites they trail. A kite grounds near him and he just looks at it blankly for a moment before the piping of the child it's attached to brings his head up. Mechanically, he stoops to lift and settle it, wait for a breeze and the child's tugging before he lifts it, the wind catching and taking it aloft. He looks like nothing more than a man stepping into a very strange dream.

Ronja gets down on her knees next to Lisebet and points directly at her stomach. "And you in there -- no trouble for your mother, now, you hear? Mothers might forgive, little one, but they rarely forget--!" Ronja then stops making a fool of herself by lecturing a pregnant woman's belly, stands, and smooths her dress. "Sorry, my Lady, but someone had to warn them."

Glowering? Marisol gives Michael a look before she steps back, and back again before she takes a few hurried steps that has her dress nearly catching beneath her feet. The slender arms of the Valardin princess give a TUG and she tries to catch the wind, pulling the kite up,nearly veering to the side as it starts to plummet but her hand lifts the string above her head to help it angle upwards. It starts to soar to join the rest as she finally stops, the wreathe of flowers listing to the side of her head, nearly falling but her thick curls hold it in place. "Lord Kaldur," She says , noting the Seliki's arrival before she is forced to fight the kite again.

After a long moment of wondering about, she finally catches sight of Michael, Princess Marisol and THAT fabulous kite. "Ohh pretty!~" a small grin sets on her face, and she makes her way over. "Mikey! Cousin dear! Hello~" she chimes the greeting before flatly stating "I /require/ a kite!" followed by a faked innocent grin.

"I hope to see it one day." Reese says gently to Shazza. "I have some pearls thought." She then turns to Kaldur, having a warm smile for him that reaches her blue eyes. "Greetings, Lord Kaldur.

Lisebet nods to Gabriel, with a smile and a wave. "Of course. Please take care, my lord." She then blinks as Ronja lectures her belly, letting out a peal of laughter. "I do hope he or she will listen to you! But I fear that hope will be misplaced, alas."

Shazza hears some lords and ladies around herself wonder aloud about the control of kites. She instructs a nearby child, very obviously pointing her words to the young boy, but making herself loud enough for other interested parties nearby to hear. It wouldn't be polite to tell her betters what to do, would it? "When the wind makes to fight you, let out a little slack. That will give it some space to dance. Hold the string too tightly and it'll cut and dive when the strong winds strike it. I like to loop the string around the tip of my finger...you'll feel it tug. That will guide you."

Cadern smiles at Rhiannon, "Oh come on it'll be fun." He says taking up his own and lifting it up grinning, "On the bright side when we get one stuck in the trees..." He shrugs and takes off at a light jog lofting his kite into the air in bemusement not looking particularly steady.

Shazza sparks a bright smile for Reese. "The pearls are the best part, your highness." She soon feels the loop around her finger tug and she picks her gaze back up to the sky.

Kaldur hears his name and gives a bow to Marisol, then Reese, the disjointed movement from manor to festival still rattling him and he looks around briefly before making his way east out of Grayson ward into the city proper.

Reese looks over to Shazza nodding to her. She looks upon Kaldur sucking in a soft breath and her blue eyes are somber.

Michael is looking up into the sky as the Valardin Princess manages to oh so successfully goad her kite into flight above them. Then SOME COUSIN'S annoying voice cuts in and he'll look for Kaia. "You /require/ a kite? Don't you bring your own, make them? Have you been too busy doing..whatever it is you do, to make a kite?" A step towards her, then he is lifting his chin towards a nearby table. "You can grab a paper one if you desire." He'll walk her towards Marisol though. "Princess Marisol has my kite, and she deserves it. So you can't have it."

Ronja chuckles at Lisebet, and glances around to see how the rest of the Festival is going, make sure no kids are openly brawling, and so forth. "Well, if they don't wisen up you can always threaten to ship them off to sea with Auntie Ronja -- really put some fear in 'em," she teases.

Rhiannon lifts up the kite and then she follows Cadern, trying to get it into the air. She runs through the open area, paying more attention to running than the kite. She doesn't want to run into any children, that's for sure. Might be kind of mean if she bowled someone down.

Brows furrow as Kaldur leaves but then her kite is pulling at her and diving. Marisol lets out a startled gasp and turns quickly back about. Her attention turns to Shazza's instruction and she focuses once more, attempting to do much the same as instructed. She looses her hold a bit as the silk lion kite dances above in a far more graceful manner. "It worked!" She proclaims, a joyful sound filling the air as she. "Thank you," she remarks to Shazza and then glances aside at Kaia and Michael, "It is a lovely kite, if you would like to fly it we can share, Lady Kaia or Lord Michael should come help me."

Shazza looks over her shoulder to Reese and lifts her brows slightly. "Is all well, Princess?" Perhaps she notices the somber look in the woman's eye. After a quirk of her lips, she offers her string. "Would you like to fly this one? It's a fighter. I know it's cheered me up."

"That might garner more misbehaviour," Lisebet replies, amused. Her gaze follows all those flying kites keenly, tracking which kite is in the air, and which not. "Or they might wish to climb trees with Lady Rhiannon."

Shazza gives Marisol a nod and a smile, her lips splitting to show teeth at the woman's joyfulness. "Good, good."

"Not when they realize how rude children get dealt with on the kinds of ships I grew up on," Ronja says back to Lisebet with a little wry smirk. "Though I wouldn't dream of subjecting a young Ashford to that, my Lady, worry not. Maybe just give 'em a tattoo or two."

Reese looks over to Shazza. "I don't think it is. The Seliki's has been through a hard time recently. I know almost nothing about what happened and probably would be out of place trying to explain, but they are going through a rough time. Since you are associated with the family, they talk to you, just likely is a sensitive topic."

Michael's hand reaches and settles upon the small of Marisol's back. "Kaia wants to steal our kite, I told her emphatically, very emphatically that she can't have it." A glance off her way before he looks up into the sky at their kite. "Having fun?"

Turning her head to look at Shazza, she grins and nods, "I am not very good at this," she admits and feels the kite pull on her, causing her to gasp and nearly lose it - especially when Michael distracts with his hand upon her back. The Valardin turns her head and Marisol offers a nod of her head. "Yes, it is lovely." She says something to him as the wooden block is gripped tightly with her hands.

"She can share it with me, she is your cousin after all. Stop being so protective of your kite," Marisol remarks to Michael.

LIsebet nods to Ronja. "A fair point," she observes quietly. "Though hopefully this child will not be so terrible as to require such methods. I hope they will be like I was as a child." A pause. "Don't ask Ryhalt about that."

2 Bisland pride guards have been dismissed.

Rhiannon checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 20, rolling 16 higher.

Rhiannon dodges kids, other adults, kites and seems to be getting her kite up in the air when she releases it, the wind catching as she releases more line.

Arcadia was on her way to visit her sister, but instantly got distracted by the kites and the children and all of that. She pauses to watch a moment before seeing Ronja to the side. She slinks off over to her friend. "Long time no see."

"You have my word," Ronja says to Lisebet with a grin -- and then lets out a noise of delight when Arcadia appears. "Ah! Cady! Hug me," she says, opening her arms -- which are bared by her yellow dress, showing of all of her tattoos, some nautical, some just rude. "I've heard you're a married woman now--!"

Shazza attentively listens to Reese, her kite forgotten for the moment as it bobs distantly above. "I understand. And I know what you're speaking of. A rough time, indeed." She clears her throat. The kite's string looped on her finger tugs, but she doesn't immediately attend to it. The flyer wobbles and swoops on the other end, caught up in a fitful wind. "How kind of you to care," she says, earnestly. Then, resolved, she adds, "Perhaps I can help in some small way. I'll see about it." She begins spooling in her kite, her expression less cheerful than it was a minute ago.

"Its /your/ kite. So I'm being protective." A glance shows that Kaia has wandered off to find her own gosh danged kite now. "She always forgets her things. And expects me to provide." Michael's hand moves from back to waist as the pair of them fly a very fine kite.

Lisebet smiles. "Lady Arcadia, congratulations," she offers as well.

Arcadia laughs as she hugs Ronja back. "I did. I suppose that makes me old and proper now." She smiles warmly at Lisebet too as the hug ends. "Thank you. Congratulations are in order too. How much longer until you're due?" Eyeing her expansive belly she guesses "Soon?"

Sandor, the Tree Scout Captain have been dismissed.

Nibbles, the Ashford Tree Squirrel have been dismissed.

"Yes well, she is family," Michael quips. Her hand lifts and she pulls the wood block back so that he can help her fly it. Michael gets a few soft words as Marisol leans into him. She glances skyward at the dancing lion as Shazza's kite is pulled in. She does her best to remember what was said but her face turns up to look a the Bisland Lord. She is obviously saying something.

Ronja grins as the hug releases, and watches the interplay between Cady and Lisebet -- so would this be time number forty-two for Lisebet? "We'll have to catch up soon, Cady. I hope marriage hasn't sworn you off of nights out drinking with old friends..."

Reese smiles over to Arcadia. "Hi, Lady Arcadia." She says gently in her direction. She then looks upon Shazza. "Okay, that is good that you know then." She says softly to her while staying curled-up on the grass.

"Yes. And she knows where kites are." Michael and Marisol are bickering mildly about Kaia and her lack of kite. The Bisland Lord does help take in the kite's cord, pulling just a bit to catch the wind better.

Arcadia quietly promises Ronja, "No drinking, but certainly would love a night with friends. Lady Isabetta wants to plan something I'm sure. I saw her the other morning." Her attention is then caught by Reese. "Hello your Highness. No kite for you?"

Marisol quiets and after turning form the lord, looks up at the kite that he helps hold as the two remain tucked in close together. "It is a lovely kite," she finally admits and then lets out a long breath. She turns her attention skyward but her gaze slips over towards the others, a smile still there, but faintly so.

Shazza gives Reese a final, thoughtful smile and a nod, though there's faint concern in the flatness of the smile. She finishes spooling in her kite, a finger then run across its fabric, as if to somehow feel the presence of the sky it soared through not long ago. The kite is replaced on the table, for some child to take and enjoy. Then she looks off to Seliki manor, her lips pursing.

Reese looks to Arcadia. "I had one and gave it away to a kid. Maybe I will another one."

"Ah, I ran into her not long ago as well-- that sounds like a plan, my Lady," Ronja says with a little smile. As Reese approaches, the smile brightens a bit. "Hello again, your Highness. I'm still marveling at a whole tower all to oneself..."

Reese looks to Ronja, seemingly all happy to have her attention again. Her dimples appear when she smiles and everything. "A whole tower. It has a library in it too. I might make an art gallery as the next room."

Lisebet laughs. "Soon!" she says with a nod. "I am not exactly sure how soon but I'm told a month or less. I do hope less, because I want to know if my toes are still there."

"Isn't it? A tailor out of the Oathlands Ward made it for me." Michael glances towards the others with Marisol, then back to her. "I think they will be serving food soon." Their kite dips a bit and Michael tugs with Marisol to get it aloft higher again.

Arcadia isn't at all surprised about Reese and a kite. "I could see you as a child with a kite running all over the place." However the next words out of her mouth are entirely unexpected, "I was hoping I may have a look at your library soon? I'm doing some research and you may have some books on the specifics." Her attention is then drawn back to Lisebet, "That is soon. You must be glad. I saw your journals about being sick."

Reese looks to Arcadia, giving her a smile. "You can visit any time of course." She says gently while stay curled-up. "Thank you for the party, Princess Marisol and Lord Michael."

"Maybe we swing by together, if Princess Reese will allow it. Catch up while we look for whatever book." Ronja is only trying to be helpful, of course, as she sits down next to Reese -- and then remembers to cross her legs in the ladylike manner. Can't forget to be ladylike. Tattoos aside. Hair aside too.

Shazza adds her thanks, too, with a respectful dip of her head to both Marisol and Michael. "Yes, a lovely day, and great fun, your highness, my Lord." She smiles again, though some of that concern remains from her earlier conversation with Reese.

Lisebet nods her head to Arcadia. "It is soon, and that was miserable for a while. Thankfully it's been over for quite some time, the worst of the sickness, that is." She grins at Ronja and Reese, as the conversation continues apace. "At the moment, I seem to be trying to go wherever there might be raspberries. I can't get enough of them."

Smiling finally, a more sunny disposition reclaimed by Marisol she visibly kisses the Lord's cheek and turns her attention to the kite when he tugs it. "It is really lovely, truly. Though yellow is not my favorite color," she says and smirks up at him. Catching Reese's thanks,s he smiles in turn, "Very welcome, of course, your highness." Ronja gets a grin and she then nods to Shazza, "I did not catch your name but I am so glad you could attend, you helped me right the kite."

Reese smiles over to Ronja. "You both came come over together. I would like that." She adds. She folds her own slender legs to the side, giving Ronja an amused look. "This is why I wear leggings. Although I admit I am tempted to get a seatouched pink summer dress."

Arcadia beams towards Lisebet, "I'm glad to hear the sickness passes and there's such worse things to want than raspberries. My sister craved salted fish when she was with child." She looks a little green at that memory.

Shazza finds some of her concern disappearing into a growing smile that shades toward the impish at Marisol's admission. "My pleasure, your highness. I'm Shazza Sedna, a trader from Pearlspire." The impishness is short-lived on her face, though it's replaced by a geniality and only the barest hint of the earlier concern.

Ronja gives Marisol a little wave and a grin, and then asides to Lisebet: "It's a shame your cravings aren't for olives. I hear there's quite a lot of them to be had for free, lately." Then, to Reese: "Your Highness, if you truly wanted to cause a scandal, obtain such a dress, but... in magenta. Or some other shade of pink that... isn't quite pink."

Lisebet giggles about the olives, shrugging. "I was afraid that I'd suddenly be craving spicy olives, but the heartburn the next day was fierce." She shrugs delicately, glancing sidelong over at Ronja, and then she looks to Arcadia. "I think that would make me sick to my stomach." Reese, Marisol and Shazza get a brief glance, Lisebet not leaving anyone out of the conversation, least not on purpose

.

That shade of green doesn't quite leave Cady's face as she pops a ginger drop in her mouth. She then pardons herself from the group. "I was on my way to see my sister. I expect I may get an exploding letter should I leave it any longer." She gives a polite nod to those around her, "Pardon me please." And then she heads out, before an Elly disaster can strike anyone.
