Peaches, a lovely white war filly with a peach saddle have been dismissed.
As the group of ladies walk towards the Grayson grounds, Delilah is introducing the two. "So, Kenna, this is my dearest Lady Joslyn." Gesturing between the two with her hands, she continues, "And this is my sister Kenna."
Stormy, a silvery gray hunting hound have been dismissed.
Baby Badger have been dismissed.
Killian sneaks in as well, sneakily. Okay, so he's actually hanging out already in advance, waiting to see what figures Reese had in such quantity she's now donating to those less fortunate..aka: collectors who weren't on time for the shopping.
Taking Delilah's hand and squeezing it affectionately, she looks between Delilah and Kenna, breaking into a smile at the other Lady. Joslyn dips her head and smiles. "Lady Kenna, such a pleasure to meet you," Joslyn beams. "I truly am meeting the whole family aren't I?"
Reese arrives a bit late to her own gathering. The princess is adorned in a pink cambric shirt and ivory woolen leggings. She is toting along er weapons, but Reese often is. Grayson servants haul the cedar chest off stuff and lay it on the grass. Reese then glances over those gathered here. "Greetings." She says toward the nobles.
On the other hand, Tobias is about as sneaky as an elephant on stampede. Oh, he himself wears his usual tunic, but the chainmailed guardians behind him aren't exactly subtle. "Well, this should be interesting." Tobias remarks, before he starts to give smiling waves to those who look in his direction, himself heading over to Reese and that chest.
Lou makes her way through the Grayson Grounds, seemingly on her way out. However, upon seeing a group of people on the grounds she gives pause and sticks around to see what's going on.
Killian looks up at Reese and smiles, "Ahh, Princess. I was hoping I hadn't misunderstood the time," he says, giving her a smile. He eyes that chest, and seems to be hesitant to move towards it first. Then Tobias is moving, so he hops up and grins, "Ah, Lord Tobias. Good to see you again," he offers politely, an amused smile upon his lips.
Kenna's eyes look to Joslyn and she smiles gently when introduced and she speaks quietly as persons gather, staying closer to Delilah and Joslyn both, "It is nice to meet you Lady Joslyn." Kenna smiles still as she looks to Reese now and goes quiet.
Reese turns her focus to Tobias. "Lord Tobias." She says in his direction. She then waves toward Lou, giving her sister a warm smile. "Thank you all for coming." She says and looks to Killian with sheepish attention. "No, it was me who is late. Please everyone help yourself to the items in the chest if you wish for them. As some know, I shop quiet a bit."
"I'd say so." Delilah says in agreement to Joslyn's statement, before turning towards Reese and offering the princess a dip to her head as greeting. Cobalt eyes flick towards the man peeking in chest as she continues addressing Reese, "Your Highness. What timing I have, I had just gotten a new bedroom and was hoping to find something new."
Killian gets Baron De Lire figurine from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Sparte comes in from the main compact, an expression of some concern on his face. He falls short when he sees the gathering, sliding a thumb to hang in his belt as he watches.
Lou waves back at Reese, and chuckles a bit at her comments. "That's a bit of an understatement." Yet, she grins at her sister even as she teases her. She waves in Sparte's direction, and offers him a warm smile. "Hey Sparte," she greets.
Killian leans into the chest as he approaches, looking quickly and reaching to slip something out of it, smiling slightly and stepping back away from the chest. "You're way too generous Princess," he notes, "a fact that I'm infinitely thankful for, I never seem to have luck with the mystery bags to acquire figurines..except my own. I somehow always end up getting that.." he shakes his head amusedly as he rolls his eyes slightly.
Reese peeks over to Delilah. "Oh, good, I hope you find some items that will work in your new bedroom." Reese says, before looking over to Sparte and giving the guardsman a wave. She then looks back to Lou. "Yeah, I have issues." She murmurs and smiles. She studies her sister closely. "Have your injuries healed okay?" She asks with concern touching her voice. Reese has an amused smile. "It does seem to happen that way."
"You have quite a bit," Joslyn says as she looks through the cart on offer. She shoots a little smile towards Delilah and Kenna once again. "Once we're done looking through here, we can be properly acquainted."
Tobias gets Crown of Red Roses from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Tobias gets a small, opaque opal glass vial of fragrant oil from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Kenna dips her head gently to Reese as others move closer to the chest and she turns to grin a bit at Delilah, "I hope you find something you like."
Sparte seems a little surprised to spot Lou, giving her a slow nod. "Princess." He considers her a litlte while before turning his attention to Reese. He gives her a salute, moving to a spot nearby and just... Starting to keep an eye on things. Like a guard or something.
Delilah gets a small, opaque spring colored glass vial of fragrant oil from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Joslyn gets A Boy and His Spider: A Bedtime Story from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Tobias gets a charming wooden box with ten compartments from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Carefully stepping over to the chest and peering inside after Killian found 'himself,' and Tobias pulled out a couple of items, Delilah spots something that catches her eye and lowers her hand into the chest to retrieve it. "I wonder..." She brings the oil up to her nose, nods, and steps away.
Killian gets a charming wooden box with ten compartments from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Lou gives Reese a curious look. "Yeah. Weeks and weeks ago. We talked about that at Safi's party. I healed up in about 3 days since that mission, where as Mason hasn't been so lucky." While she gives Reese a long answer, she herself looks unconcerned about the matter. "I'm all good." She looks back to Sparte and gives him an insufferable sigh. "Please, just Lou."
Killian leans back in for a look after some others have been at the chest, and spots a little divided box, ohhing and picking it up. He glances towards Tobias, who pulled a similar box and grins. "You have good taste, Lord Tobias," he compliments with an amused tone.
More Grayson servants arrive, setting up a table with snacks and drinks. Reese sure keeps them busy. Reese goes to take a perching seat at the table and she watches as people take items from the chest, the Princess seems happy to see that. "Right now we haven't ran into the slaver's army, which is a good thing." Reese murmurs. "But I think he might be just laying low before marching. But we do have his minions and I am thinking of likely sending out more patrols." Reese then turns to Lou, having a smile for her. 'That is right. I am glad you healed so well."
Joslyn looks up at Reese and nods towards her at the mention of more patrols. "Do you think we might try to send some further out?" Joslyn wonders. "As always, I'll be there for any patrols you deem fit," Joslyn says, giving Delilah an apologetic look before digging back into the chest.
Taking out a few items and looking them over, Tobias takes out a few items.... them puts them all in the box he just pulled out. "Why thank you, Lord Killian... I do like to think I have good taste, despite all indications otherwise." Tobias quips back, before he looks to Reese. "Princess, if you're getting away this much stuff, 'too much shopping' is an understatement." Tobias notes with am amused tone, before he nods. "Is there any indication he'll march on the Redrain cities, or will he just come right to Arx and start the slaver war?"
Kenna makes her approach towards the chest after some time of observing, though her steps are hesitant at first but when she reaches the chest, she reaches a hand inside and curls her slender fingers around a couple of items, "Thank you for your generosity, Princess Reese."
Kenna gets Sunburst Decorated Screen from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Kenna gets a small, opaque purple glass vial of fragrant oil from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Erasyl, a sharp-eyed thick-billed raven arrives, following Eshken.
Kenna gets a charming wooden box with ten compartments from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Reese looks over to Joslyn. "We might do that." She says and turns to Tobias. "That I don't know the answer to." She says and her cheeks a a bit pink, maybe in response to his shopping comment. "Visions suggest that he will march on Compact after going through the Gray Forest, but that is visions and well it is uncertain." Reese says, before adding. "Also we are fighting the abyss in the forest, which is important, fighting the shards." She adds and the then sucks in a soft breath. "I also am here, looking for support our missions. We need all the help we can to keep them going."
Killian looks towards the others as the talk immediately turns to war and the expectations surrounding it. A frown crosses the young mans face, and he shakes his head slightly. "It's a shame that such a beautiful day must be marred by such a creature's looming threat," he says quietly as he moves to settle at an open seat. "If you're going to increase patrols, of course I will assist how I can, Princess. I have half the Ashford navy tied up assisting with the Kennex situation, but my troops are mostly on garrison at the moment."
Sparte glances over to Lou again, giving her an apologetic smile. "Right... Sorry, just trying to act proper." He glances over to the people at the chest. "Still pounding some of the proper titles into my head, people got tired of me forgetting. I'll try to remember you prefer to skip them."
satisfied, Kenna takes a step back with a wide smile and goes to stand beside Delilah and Joslyn now.
5 Grayson Guardsmen arrives, following Lark.
Lou nods once more at Reese, and walks over to Sparte. "I just wanted to let you know I didn't forget about you," she tells him. "I've been waiting on a response from you to see when you wanted to get together and talk about Society of Explorers stuff. I half wonder if the messenger I sent took a wrong turn and went to Bisland instead," she teases a bit. "So are you still interested?" she asks.
A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Delilah before departing.
It is, of course, a busy Lark that passes from the inside of Graysons' mansion towards the gate, trailed by guards. Her mirror-dark gaze sweeps over the gathering, but she doesn't stop to greet anyone beyond tipping her chin in a gesture.
Reese looks over to Killian, giving him a nod. "That is the other factor. We might head out to Maelstrom again when the need arise. Going to Maelstrom would be fully on a volunteer basis. I have been told that he situation in Mourning Isles is likely to spike before the situation witht he slaver, but that might not be true. Much is just theory and guesses and right now."
Sparte's eyebrows lift at Lou. "Oh, ah... Yes, yes I am." He rubs at the back of his neck, smiling. "Sorry, I think maybe Tiny Tom got some of my letters. I'm hoping my practice as a cartographer will make me, well, more qualified than I was. Last time, I mean." He glances over, listening to what is being said for a moment before looking back to Lou. "Probably best done sooner than later. No telling when I'll be traveling again with everyone going on."
5 Grayson Guardsmen leaves, following Lark.

There is a chest filled of Reese's stuff that she seems to be giving away. A table with drinks and snacks has been set-up. Reese looks over to Lark, giving her a gentle smile of greeting. "Your Grace." She say sin her direction, seemingly pleased to see her cousin her. Reese then looks over to Killian. "Yeah, the situation in Kennex is difficult. I am glad that the Ashfords were there to help." She says in his soft and somber voice.
"Well, we'll know soon enough, sounds like." Tobias nods as he moves to sit down. "I've still got the rest of the Crimson Blades ready for either war. Really not looking forward to heading back out into the sea, though. I can control our speed on land."
"Stonewood troops are still held up for the moment," Joslyn admits towards Reese, curiously considering her. "The situation in Maelstrom is bad, but who knows which pot is going to boil over first? For the moment I'll keep myself available for the Gray Forest. I'm of best use on dry land, anyway. I've never even been on a ship before."
"We will know soon enough" Reese says agreeing with Tobias. "They could reach a peak at the same time, which would be difficult." Reese murmurs before turning to Joslyn. "I am sure they are quite busy." She says in this softly thoughtful voice. "So for now, I am thinking continuing the patrols, but they are very dangerous as most know who have gone on them. I think we do need to be watching the forest though."
Emele takes a lazy meandering path down the street from the Whitehawk estate, Eshken in tow. "I just heard about it myself, I haven't really been paying attention to local goings-ons lately" She says, continuing a conversation with her brother. "But yeah, it's free stuff. Bound to be something worth taking home."
Jynx, a falcon arrives, delivering a message to Delilah before departing.
Killian laughs quietly, "Don't give us too much credit Princess, we live in the trees, our navy isn't what I would call an 'intimidating presence'. So sending half of it is about the best we could accomplish, but still not as much as we'd have liked." He glances towards Joslyn and lifts a brow, "I would have thought, considering the Lady Arianna's comments about visiting Thrax often, and your former service as her handmaiden, you would have traveled with her. But whichever situation matures first, I think it a good plan for all of us to be prepared to move to aid the target. I worry most that they shall strike in tandem."
Eshken gives Emele a tight lipped smile as she walks up alongside him, leaning over to her to speak. "That is something polite folk say out of earshot," he informs her, in a quiet tone. He lingers around in silence, trying to catch bits and pieces of the goings-on, gathering information to compensate for his late arrival.
Alejandra, a snowy white hound, Planchet, a young valet arrive, following Ainsley.
Alejandra, a snowy white hound, Planchet, a young valet leave, following Ainsley.
"Aislin's started asking us to administer entrance exams to those that want to be in the Society, to make sure you've some knowledge of how to handle yourself. I have time tonight to administer the tests, or tomorrow," Lou tells Sparte. "So many people joined up that she was concerned about sending some out on missions without proper knowledge on how to get out of sticky situations. I can say, however, I've seen you at work, so I'm certain you'll pass them easily." She gives Sparte an encouraging smile, then takes a moment to look over the grounds. "I should perhaps let Lady Skye know that I'm available, or at least poke at her to remind her she asked me."
Glancing towards Killian, Joslyn nods. "Lady Arianna often travelled alone," Joslyn admits. "I never accompanied her to Thrax lands, and generally she didn't involve me in any of their affairs, though I would have gone had she asked," Joslyn says, she winces a bit at the thought. "An attack in tandem could prove devastating. Let us hope that they are not so organized," Joslyn says, biting her lips as she looks towards the others gathered, seemingly satisfied with her takings for the day. She casts a smile back to Delilah and Kenna, taking Delilah's hand and squeezing her fingers gently.
Sparte nods a little bit to Lou, raising his free hand part way. "Oh, I just remembered. One of the templar expressed interest in joining your number as well. It seems exploration is on everyone's minds. I told him you were the best person to reach out to. Forgive me if that was overstepping."
Reese turns her attention to Emele and Eshken as they arrive, giving them a smile of greeting that touches her blue eyes. "Please, help yourself to anything in the chest." She says in their direction. Reese then turns back to Killian. "Yeah, them happening at once, would be difficult." Reese gives Sparte a smile at Lou's words. "Oh, I am sure he will." Reese hmms. "The good news, is that I don't they are in communication or coordination with each other, but we still could have bad luck."
Killian looks like he's going to respond to the questions of the attacks, but then is distracted, looking off towards Lou and Sparte. "For what it's worth, Princess Lou, I can personally attest to Master Sparte's skill in combat and usefulness. There are few whom I consider as reliable as he, and he would be an asset unto the Society. A belief I have no hesitation in passing on to Aislin as well," he assures.
"What's rude about it?" Emele asks Eshken, treading over to the chest and leaning over to look through it's contents. She smiles graciously at Reese on her way over to the box. "Thank you, your highness, this is most generous of you." Finally reaching her destination she starts perusing it's contents. "Ooh, nice gloves."
Killian is overheard praising Sparte for: Skilled and reliable, he'd be an asset to any group!
Lou glances back to Sparte and shakes her head. "It's not overstepping at all. Does this templar have a name?" she asks.
"Well, dearest Joslyn, next time I've got a reason to be on a boat, I'd be happy to take you along." Delilah remarks, squeezing the shorter woman's hand in return. Her gaze flicks towards Emele and Eshken, whom she offers a faint smile and dip to her head. "Evening you two." A small breath is taken before she turns towards the rest, and says, "I should really send Aislin a messenger. We have a lot of overlap in our endeavors."
Sparte glances between Killian and Reese, his cheeks reddening a little bit. He doesn't really know what to say, looking up and off to the side while trying to control his grin. "You guys are..." He chuckles a bit. "Thank you." Rubbing at his nose in an attempt to hide his expression his nods to Lou. "Armand. I only just met him recently, but I like him so far."
"A pincer assault from both of them would probably devestate the military forces of the Compact. The only saving grace would be that the thing in the Darkwater Deeps uses ships primarily... so we could focus on naval warfare there." Tobias notes, before he shrugs, then. "Still need to take and hold land for island forts.... but the land war would focus on the slaver war, probably."
Eshken smiles at Reese, giving her a small bow of his head. "It's been a while since I saw you last. It's good to see you safe," he says quietly. His eyes follow Emele, curious as to what she'll find within the chest. "A pleasure to see you, as well," he adds, nodding to Delilah as he sees her. His face seems to shift with a bit of worry as he watches the conversations, gaze soon returning to Emele, letting out a quiet sigh.
Joslyn gives a nod towards Tobias. "You're likely right," she says. "I'd stake my usefulness would be best served in the gray forest in the case of a tandem attack, but should the Darkwater threat arise first, I'm sure I'll be more likely to volunteer my skills on that front," Joslyn admits, glancing over to Killian with a short nod before smiling back to Delilah. "I'd like that," she says. "I'll try not to get sick too much."
Lou bobs her head at Killian and her sister, Reese, acknowledging their comments. "I will take your words under advisement," she tells them. Looking back to Sparte, she says, "I'll keep a look out for any messengers he sends my way. So far, I haven't received anything - but his may have gone to Bisland on vacation as well," she lightly jests.
Emele flashes a smile to Delilah in turn, pulling one of the deerskin gloves from the chest and trying it on. "Something bothering you, brother?" She asks, splaying out her be-gloved fingers and sticking her arm down toward the ground.
Reese smiles. "Lord Armand seems like a good man." She comments, before looking over to Tobias and giving him a nod. "It would be difficult, but we would find a way." She says thoughtfully before adding "It is nice to see you again as well, Master Eshken." Reese says gently. "You have been quiet the amazing group on the missions. We have a great faction." She says toward those gathered here.
Killian glances towards the person he doesn't recognize, smiling slightly at Kenna, "I don't believe we've met yet," he says politely. "Lord Killian of Ashford, a pleasure to be acquainted. Have you met the others?" he asks curiously, motioning about in general.
Sparte is still looking a bit bashful. He glances around again before backing up a bit. "I, uh, I have books I'm supposed to be delivering today. I just wanted to make sure things went well here first, and Princess Sir is in good company. So..." He inclines his head to Lou. "I, ah, I'll see you soon."
"Oh, do you think you'd be the type to get seasick?" Delilah asks Joslyn with a tilt to her head. Her eyebrows knit together and she purses her lips for a moment at the mention of messengers on vacation. Seems she's experienced the case of the mystery messengers as well. "Lord Killian Ashford," Delilah mimics under her breath for a long breath before dipping her head politely. "I don't think we've met either. I'm Lady Delilah Whitehawk."
Reese looks over to Sparte. "Oh, take care, Master Sparte." She says gently in his direction.
Lou inclines her head to Sparte. "Take care. I need to go back up and check on Safi myself." And with that, she makes her way back into the Grayson grounds.
Eshken shakes his head lightly to Emele, giving Reese a nod and a smile in return for her kind comments and greeting. "Anything you're interested in?" He wonders aloud, to Emele, shifting slightly in his place.
Killian gives a thoughtful sort of look, eyeing Delilah for a moment and tapping his chin. "You know, I think you may be right. I thought we had met at one of the previous briefings, but perhaps you were just pointed out to me..my deepest apologies," he moves to rise and bow, quite gracefully. "I assure you, it is my honor to be acquainted. The Baron is one of my oldest and dearest friends and comrades, and an ally upon whom I have always known I could rely."
"I honestly don't know!" Joslyn says with a little laugh, shaking her head, bumping into Delilah affectionately she shrugs. "I've never been on a boat before, but I'll find out sooner or later," she regards Killian and gives him a bit of a smile and a dip of her head. "You know, we really haven't had a chance to get properly acquianted either," Joslyn says with a smile towards him.
"Probably these gloves. I've been needing some after I left my good ones in reach of goats. Least when it starts getting nippy out." Emele says to Eshken, taking the other glove from the box, giving it a brief inspection before smiling contentedly with her choice. "What about you?
"No worries, My Lord." Delilah assures the man with anoter slight bow to her head. "It seems my cousin has that affect on people." After bumping back into Joslyn, she inclines her head towards her sister and states, "Kenna has recently joined the Iron Guard, so don't go /too/ hard on her."
Eshken shakes his head at Emele, stroking his chin as he looks over the contents of the chest. "I ought to avoid fueling Reese's spending habits by taking her old belongings," he teases quietly. At Delilah's words, he seems to perk up and open his eyes with a realization. "Oh, this is Kenna! Wonderful," he says, slinking back, not wanting to interrupt firther.
Reese hmms and looks to Eshken. "You should fuel my shopping habit." She is quick to say and even has a smile for him that touches her blue eyes.
giving a gentle smile at mention of her name, Kenna dips her head towards Killian and Eshken, "A real pleasure to meet you both.." comes a soft reply.
Killian smiles, "Ahh, excellent. The Iron Guard can always use new recruits," he approves and glances towards Joslyn. "I suppose that technically no, but serving on a scouting mission with one another probably gets us past some of the formalities I would suppose," he says with a small curve of his lips. He looks back towards Reese then and tsks, "As if you need anything to help fuel your shopping habit."
"Your cousin saved my life, so I suppose he has that effect on me as well," Joslyn smiles, wrapping an arm around Delilah's hip and giving Killian a nod. "Well, the formalities are out of the way, but still, Lady Arianna speaks highly of you, so I'd like to get a proper chance of knowing the man behind the name, as it were."
Reese adds a moment later. "Please take the gloves if you want, the more stuff you take, the more new stuff, I can buy." She says and is teasing, but only sort of. "I also am trying to raise support for House Grayson and the missions we are undertaking to help secure the safety of the Gray forest."
"Oh dear," Delilah says with a grin. "It seems I have a big name to live up to." She turns her gaze towards Reese and dips her head politely, "Thank you for organizing this event - I've found myself a new fragrant oil and made another friend. Unfortuantely I'm feeling a bit light headed, so I'll be heading off."
Emele pulls her newly acquired gloves off and tucks them away into her bag. "I'll take 'em. Afraid I don't have much to contribute other than patching up armour, but if you need any help with that I'd be glad to be of service."
Reese gives Delilah a gentle smile that touches her blue eyes. "Take care, Lady Delilah." She murmurs softly.
Emele gets a pair of durable deerskin gloves lined with fur from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Reese looks over to Emele, giving her a nod. "Oh, we can use help with that. We can use all the help we can get and just spreading the word is good too." She smiles when the gloves are taken, seemingly happy about that. "Those gloves are a Baron Silas design."
Regarding Delilah, Joslyn gives her a nod. "Lets get you home, in that case," Joslyn says, dipping her head towards Reese and than towards Killian. "In any case, it was good seeing you again. Good luck to you, and let me know if you're ever in need of another scout to join you in future trips," she offers, waving towards Reese then. "Take care, Princess Reese, I'll be escorting Lady Delilah home," she says, casting a fond smile to the Whitehawk Lady.
Killian gives a small smile to Joslyn, "Ah, well, I'm not really all that interesting to get to know. But I shall endeavor to make myself available, if you would like. For now though, I fear that I have another appointment to be getting to." He looks to Reese and smiles, "Princess, thank you again," he says simply with a smile towards Ribbons.
Kenna looks over to Delilah and smiles very gently, giving her hand a soft touch, "I will return with you then, sister." Kenna turns to the others and lowers her chin gently with a kind smile, "This was.. very lovely and thank you again Princess Reese."
Conker, the Ornery Red Squirrel, Dame Barkley, a chocolate tri beagle leave, following Joslyn.
Kenna, Joslyn leave, following Delilah.
Reese gets The Legend of the Three Cocks - Children's Story from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Reese gets Royal Word Puzzle from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Reese gets Lower Boroughs Word Find from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Eshken smirks, chuckling at Reese. "No, no. It's fine. I'd hate to take something someone else would likely want more. I'm quite content in my supply of perfume and tea, either way. Seeing the pair of Whitehawks departing gets a bit of a disappointed look, but he gets over it soon enough. "But like my sister, I'm always here to help, if the offer would he of use."
Reese gets Noble Simon Connor - Short Story from sturdy northern cedar chest.
Killian slips away from the chaos as it is becoming less chaotic, heading back towards the Ashford house.
Killian is overheard praising Reese for: The most generous of Princesses. Also the pinkest.
Emele "I'll have to do a little more research on the recent conflicts. War's always been something I've had trouble wrapping my head around." Emele admits to Reese, taking her gloves out of her bag and looking at them a bit more closely. "Oh yeah, these are some Silas gloves for sure."
Reese has the grace to blush in response to Eshken. "I do spend too much money." She confesses shyly. "But it helps the crafters, right?" She murmurs softly. "Anyways, it is nice to see you again Master Eshken. I didn't know that Mistress Emele is yoru sister." She says, giving them both a smile.
