Relationship Note on Margerie

I'll try to make sure the baby doesn't start knocking over trees with her wide swingin' tentacles and all that.

Talen, you just gave me the biggest motivator to go sprinting into the woods that I've ever had. Thanks buddy.

Relationship Note on Reese

[ Overheard: What, can't borrow a book -- ? Fine. I'll come back to this. ]

I think Ribbons is a peony. One of those super-pink ones with double or triple the petals. The flowers of riches and honor (according to the book.) Peonies embody romance and bashfulness. They're a sign of a happy marriage. If you move it somewhere else, it takes a couple of years for it to set down roots again. Once it does, it will bloom for /decades/. Which means, kids, that we take care of our peonies.

The Oaks of Oakhaven welcome you.

You do realize I call all the babies and toddlers acorns, though. Well. A kraken among them can only make them stronger.

I wish to thank Archlector Aleksei and Archlector Aureth for their extreme kindness and patience, in explaining my errors and setting me aright in my understanding of things I had not properly understood. It would seem that, to put it simply and bluntly, I am a fool.

I am as hard as oak and I will not be told otherwise.

Nobody has ever been as hard as I get.

Relationship Note on Freja

Fergus and Freja were two sides of the same coin. While they were not born the same year, this pair were as close as twins. This brother and sister had a bond that no one could touch. In some ways, it was a blessing she went after him. He could not be parted in life from her side, which is why I married into House Redrain. Now in death, they can continue the journey on the Wheel together.
