I went to the Splashfest event this past week and it was wonderful! I've never seen such a decadent set of terrace pools, and the party itself was light and fun and everything that such an event should be. Lady Kalani and Lord Kaldur do much credit to their House.

You should come over for dinner for more Lowers catfish soon! They have a very unique flavor, though I concur it is best not to think about why. I've been teaching Harper and Magpie's boy, Pie, to fish with the very pretty pole Magpie made for me. Mostly we have just been catching boots and bits of refuse, but that is the fun challenge of fishing in the Lowers.

It was very nice to meet Lord Arik Halfshav and Scout Rowenova yesterday. Quite chuffed that Lord Halfshav will give me some training sessions in the use of a medium weapon. And then the icing on the cake itself; meeting Sir Jordan and having a very nice chat with him. I look forward to us working together!

Relationship Note on Grady
I've heard a fair bit about the fundraiser held by Lord Grady, alongside Princess Sabella Grayson. Many a kind word spoken.
Since his taking of the Deepwood name he has consistently put his efforts into the development of our House and the unofficial ties of it. He has even somehow cracked my exterior, though I can feel my left eye beginning to twitch with such an admission.
Naturally it can't be overlooked that his efforts have likewise been put toward benefiting the Compact, as have the actions of many others of late. So, really, a great job all-around.
I am thankful to call him a Deepwood.

Attended the Catharsis.
It seemed like an interesting idea, so I brought some grievances with me to share.
Rather than an airing of grief it mostly seemed to be a discussion of fashion.
I thought it unseemly to disrupt such a spirited discussion, so I kept my jeremiad to myself.
This is fine.
Every palace needs a foundation, and the hard stone of resentment works just as well as anything else.

Relationship Note on Sabella
A bit of a correction is needed. The Black Cherry and Black Currant wine has actually been produced in quantities. Only one bottle has been given out so far, to Lord Jophiel, with the exception of the one I gave out last evening for the raffle.
The remaining bottles will be made available during the Wine Extravaganza we're holding next month, along with a quantity of other wines we'll be releasing. I do not want whomever got the willow basket to be upset when more wine is released. We've been waiting for the vintners to send over more than the handful of advanced bottles they've already sent to the house.
But, for now, the wine is very rare. When it is released, it will still be rare, just not as rare as it is right now. There will only be 20 bottles of it, in totality.

In the event of my untimely death:
- Wish to be buried with however much silver I had on me and is within my personal bank acount.
- Any social or military favors or writs or economic debts or promises, may be turned over to my patron: Archduchess Eleyna Velenosa for the betterment of the Lyceum.
- I wish to be buried in a specific dress -- it'll be tucked away in my wardrobe.
- I wish to be buried with all of my weapons save for a specific dagger-- Audric knows which one.
- My armor may go to whoever Audric feels has need of it.
- My silks, dresses, perfumes, or other worldly things Audric may distribute or hoard however he pleases.
Note to self: Be sure to design and have made our Burial Dress before the month is up.
