The wondrous meats and sides and all of that grandness was demolished by hungry nobles and commoners alike earlier. Michael was /late/ though. So very late. In fact, late enough that most people were leaving or gone already when he managed to return to the Manor. In his Iron Guard cloak of all things. He is still in that, promise. "Kaia? KAAAAAIIAIAAAIAIAIAAAA!"

Michael shouts from nearby, "Kaia? KAAAAAIIAIAAAIAIAIAAAA!"

Reese is still here and she finally has finished the fish and is now enjoying a glass of grayson wine .She peeks over to Michael, giving him a smile. "Hi Lord Michael."

Arcadia trails in, but quickly jumps at Michael's voice "Augh!" She's dressed as usual. Leathers and tunic, but for once not covered in sticks and dirt.

Kaia makes her way into the great hall from the atrium, seeming somewhat sleepy, "What's with all this shouting?" she asks looking around to find the crazed Michael.

"Hullo Reese." Michael whips his cloak free and yeets it straight into Lyros' face. "Yes, Lord Bisland. Thank you Lord Bisland." The man leaves with it still draped over his face and remarkably does not encounter any obstacles. "I was told there was going to be a party, Kaia."

Ektor arrives, following Marisol.

Damien Pierce - A Charming Assistant, 1 Redreef Warden, 1 Thrax Guards, 1 Redoubt Buccaneers, Vagari - Cinder Kitten arrive, following Mikani.

"Well, cousin dear, you are late for the party. The food is //all// gone!" she explains, "All that is left are the drinks...and--" she galnces to the stage to see if the band is still around, "--huh, seems the band has also gone, so just the harp lady is left!"

(OOC)The scene set/room mood is now set to: The wondrous meats and sides and all of that grandness was demolished by hungry nobles and commoners alike earlier. Michael was /late/ though. So very late. In fact, late enough that most people were leaving or gone already when he managed to return to the Manor. In his Iron Guard cloak of all things. He is still in that, promise. The organization, not the cloak. The Cloak was taken by a manservant Valet.

Kaia takes a massive center plate of honey roasted suckling pig embellished with fresh green salad, almonds, and fruits.

Kaia takes a medium sized platter of mouthwatering roasted duck embellished with fresh green salad and fruits.

Kaia takes a humongous seared fish dish embellished with a side of fresh green salad and oysters.

Mikani comes drawn by something. Couldn't be the smell of food that was all gone. Maybe it was the company. WEll she was more than willing to stick around and see.

By the time the late comers arrive the platters and plates of mouthwatering delicacies are now empty and being taken back to the kitchen. There's //no food// none! All gone! So don't even try to get some. You won't find any! Only booze...lots of it, specially a particularly terrible beer.

Arcadia briefly helps poor Lyros. She gives him a brief smile as she sets Michael's cloak in his arms so he can at least see and doesn't trip over some errant sword. She then turns her gaze to Michael hollering. She snickers to herself and really hopes he gets one of those famous Kaia Bisland looks.

Probably Michael literally shouting about a party as he walked past several pubs and sent Sir Struttington after a few choice people. There was a clamor, a clamor in Arx. "Its alright. We'll find someone else to play. Or worse, I'll play."

Kaia raises a brow, "Oh, please, no. Spare us; have mercy." she says, before briefly making her way towards the west gardens.

Duchess Cottontail, a gorgeous fluffy white angora kitten with odd eyes and a pretty pink ribbon, 2 Bisland pride guards, Luella Sedna, an influent and renowned pearl trader, Colin Laurent, a quiet and serene companion leave, following Kaia.

Thea lifts her eyebrow a bit, seriously wondering what was missed.

The guards bow respectfully to the arriving member of House Bisland.

Duchess Cottontail, a gorgeous fluffy white angora kitten with odd eyes and a pretty pink ribbon, 2 Bisland pride guards, Luella Sedna, an influent and renowned pearl trader, Colin Laurent, a quiet and serene companion arrive, following Kaia.

Mikani looks at Michael, "Do you sing badly?" She asks after she tries the Michael Signature Lemonade and Rum.

One said person collected by Struttington is the Princess Marisol who was quite taken by the whole thing. Making time from her evening studies she arrive at the Bisland manor with her guard in tow. Ektor is beginning to look displeased by the fact they are once more out in the evening. The Princess is dressed in a rich burgundy silk as her cloak is removed upon being shown in. Ektor is quick to move in to take her cloak and wave off the Bisland servant who tries.

Eina, the Pearl's Own, Soot, a frenetic ferret arrive, following Peri.

Kaia takes Lemonade and Rum, Michael Bisland Special from a wood liquor cabinet painted with colorful bottles.

Kaia drops Lemonade and Rum, Michael Bisland Special.

Kaia takes golden shortcrust pie filled with Whitewood autumn berries.

Thea slips in to the even, smoothing her gown. No, she is surprisingly has -not- changed back into her armour, yes that is red something on her lips. Thea shockingly looks very feminine still. She lifts her eyebrow a bit at the commotion, but shrugs her shoulders uncaringly.

Kaia shouts from nearby, "Thea!"

Michael rolls up the sleeves of his tunic, fastening them with leather straps apparently crafted onto the sleeves for just this sort of purpose. Evergreen and not Brightroar across his back. "Princess Marisol Valardin. As I live and breathe. And stand and greet and say hullo. Welcome to Bisland Manor."

Kaia returns to the Hall only to notice Thea making her way back into the manor for the after party. "You came back!~" she chimes, "--and still looking radiant.~" she says with a grin, proud of having aided the young Malvici lady with her attire.

Michael checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 1 higher.

The voice draws her attention as servants are busy relieving the room of what was once a feast. For a moment Marisol stares and then clears her throat. "I...am I late, Lord Michael? I think perhaps I am late." Because clean up is happening. Gloved hands claps before her as she takes a step towards her host. Her eye follow towards the sound of Kaia' shout, a smile tugging at her lips with how casual everything seems to be at the moment.

Reese has been here, but quiet and kind of dreamy even. She seems to be in a friendly mood despite the quiet. The girl waves happily to Thea, she smiles to Kaia and then to Marisol.

Arcadia realizing she's walked into a party, and not just Michael being a brat, Cady gives a sheepish wave and sneaks back towards the door.

Mikani sips her drink as she murmurs to Michael softly. Mika having the usual mischevious look in her eyes as she does. "I think we are all late, Your Highness." She assures Marisol warmly before waving at Reese and Arcadia, called Cady.

Sort of a party. And apparently something was exchanged between Mikani and Michael because he gets an adventuresome glint in his eye and turns to the Harp Lady who was doing her level best to pack up and leave unnotice. "Wait-wait-wait-wait. Mistress Pachbel. Play that song. You know what song. I made you play it twelve times the other day."

She sits. She is cross. She plays. Michael sings. And underwhelms all the nobility who have become used to only the BEST Bards. And they're stuck with someone who should stick with a helmet that has a mouth cover.

Thea smiles a bit at Kaia,"Thank you." She offers a wave to Reese because well--it's Reese. Thea whispers to Kaia, a bit confused,"What is that sound he's doing?"

Kaia chuckles, at Thea's query and whispers back "I think he thinks he's singing. Shhh..." and then she lets out a giggle.

A somwhat subdued Peri returns from Seliki Maner, the house business she left for all taken care of. She walks in on Mikani's comment. "If I can manage being late enough, I might be early." She looks at Michael. blinks. She walks over to Kaia for the second time today to congratulate her. "Congratulations again. I hope I can stay longer this time." She looks towards Michael. "I think I'll wait to congratulate him until he's finished with the song." She heads over to sit an empty table to watch people from.

Peri has joined the a grey and yellow table set upon a raised dais.

Mikani applauds Michael and whistles. It was her fault he was singing. "Way to ... sing a song!" She calls out and claps louder. "Encore!"

Kaia says, "Thank you Peri!~"

Giving Mikani a grateful smile, Marisol nods her head and steps aside as Michael decides to perform for everyone - much to her surprise. Arching a brow as he puts forth the effort her gaze sweeps up and over to Reese who gets a deep inclination of her head as her hand wiggles her fingers through the air towards the other Princes. "Doe he sing often?" She is of Mikani who she has found a place to stand beside, her gloved hands clasping once more before her. Kaia gets a smile from the Valardin.

Kaia catches sight of Marisol and offers a little wave along with a beaming smile. "Glad you could make it your highness.~" she chimes from afar, before returning her attention to Thea to ask her something.

Mikani shrugs to Marisol, "I have no idea. I just figured that he should sing since someone said he sang." She grinned at Marisol. "Other than that it was more seeing if I could get him to sing." She laughs softly and takes another drink. "Hey you should sing." She grins at the Princess.

Michael did okay. It wasn't terrible. "Encore? I only know the one song. I can sing it again if you want." He'll glance towards Mistress Pachbel who is shaking her head at him. No. She has been pushed far enough. There are servants around, but Michael transitions to pour and mixing lemonade and rum together to begin handing drinks out. "Oh. Princess Marisol? I don't know if she sings. MIKANI. Did you come to try and drown me? You know I still can't swim yet." Peri has not been spotted.

Thea whispers to Kaia,"Whichever tastes better!" Nod to Kaia subtly. Thea worries about her ears now.

Doe he sing?! Marisol give Micheal a look as she clears her throat and starts to take her head. "Thank you, Lady Kaia. I am always glad to visit, I fear was late...but I was just assured I was not," she seems skeptical on all fronts of whether she is indeed late or not. Food is being taken away and everyone is just so..casual. From foot to foot Marisol moves as if to relieve some tension. "I can attempt to sing but I do not suppose I am going to be the best suited for it." She promises the Lord of Bisland.

Peri stands up from the table and jumps off the dais. Lord Michael is tapped ont he shoulder. "What did you say?" Her eyes are narrowed.

Kaia lift from her seat by the fire, pulling Thea right along with her, before heading over towards Michael to whisper something to him. Just then she smiles once more at Marisol, "Never too late! Well...except for the food." she admits with a chuckle, "No matter, i'm so glad you were able to come!~ I'm afraid I'll be off though, there's somewhere else I must go to." she explains, before rushing over to the liquor cabinet, grabbing a bottle and making a run for the door dragging Thea along with her.

Peri has left the a grey and yellow table set upon a raised dais.

Kaia takes Silk Sheets, a Raconteur Exclusive Brandy from a wood liquor cabinet painted with colorful bottles.

Duchess Cottontail, a gorgeous fluffy white angora kitten with odd eyes and a pretty pink ribbon, 2 Bisland pride guards, Luella Sedna, an influent and renowned pearl trader, Colin Laurent, a quiet and serene companion, Thea leave, following Kaia.

Mikani laughs softly, "I keep trying to see you to teach you how to swim. Yet I think you are evading me." Mika looks at Marisol, "Singing is like breathing ... Everyone can do it ... to varying degrees of aptitude."

"I just got hom, Princess Marisol. So the party is clearly just about to start." Michael is shaking his head at the harp lady who is leaving. Then tap. tap tap tap tap tap. "GahhhhhhHi Lady Peri. What brings you out to the Manor?"

Thesarin makes his way back into the party at the Bisland Manor. He moves to take a seat, lifting his chin toward Michael, and taking his slow, steady steps toward the drinks. The man looks exactly like someone gave a shav warlord out of the Grey Forest a bath, put him in a Grayson nobleman's outfit, and peace-bonded his sword at his hip--one set at the pommel with what's either an elaborate forgery or a truly enormous wolf's tooth.

There is a bemused half laugh from Marisol at what Mikani says, "True," and apt explanation of what singing is. The Princess is not overly quick to step forward into the roll of singer but rather looks to the other woman she has been conversing with - that is until she pots the rather impressive and terrifying figure of Thesarin. The Valardin's attention is riveted on him as he makes his way for drinks. "Who..is that?" She pauses and then realizes she does not recognize Mikani, "Forgive me, I feel like we met in passing at a larger gathering. I am Princess Marisol Valardin." This interlude also helps keep her from staring at the newest arrival.

The Seliki gives Michael an inperious stare. "I /think/ I heard yous ay you can't swim." she looks at Mikani, "And he's been evadi" -- she returns her attention to "Lord Michael! is it true? You cannot swim?! How many years has it been?!"

Michael only glances minutely towards Thesarin. Thats Thesarin. Big. Tattoos. Going for drinks. Looking like he could use the keg itself for a drinking vessel. He'd call out in greeting but Peri is very much needing answers from him. "Well. If I can't swim now. Then I haven't swam ever...so all of my years." He backs up, slow steps to bring him at level with Mikani and Marisol. DISTRACT! "Count Thesarin Riven! Its so good to have you visit!" Help.

Mikani holds up her hands. "Hey don't look at me. I offered to teach." Mikani looked over at Marisol. "That is Count Consort Thesarin Riven." She murmurs to Marisol. "I am Lady Mikani Redreef." She gives a warm smile at the Princess. She winks at Michael, "I have never met a horse that likes me."

"Why in all of mangatas oyster shucking rejects did you not ever tell me this? Years I ahve been inviting you to to take a break and go swiming." She eyes him beneath a furrowed brows. disapproval evident. "I've always thought you work too hard and are too serious. Heirs should relax too sometimes. I look out for you, you know? I try and keep you from doing nothing but work work work. But is /this/ why you never take a swimming braek with me? ...You can't swim?" She is discombobulated. Absolutely discombulated. "The pond is right over there." She points in that direction. "We can fix this right now." She waves at the Count. "Hi Count Thesarin, you can swim, can't you?"

"Lord Michael." Thesarin lifts his cup to the younger man, and moves to sit at the banquet table, resting a big elbow on the top. "Fine work at the Melee, how I hear." He sees Marisol and Mikani looking at him, and he turns his face to meet the look--holding it, hard and steady--for a moment, before Peri speaks to him, and he lifts a chin toward her. The question gives him pause, the sort of heavy, stretched-out silence of trying to work out exactly what to say in response, eventually settling on "...aye, Lady Peri."

Mikani smiles warmly at Thesarin as he looks at her. He must not remember her from the party. "Good to see you again." She calls out.

"*I* work too hard?" Michael glances between Peri and Thesarin in askance. Please. Lets talk about something else that isn't swimming. "Thank you, your wife told me she was proud of me. So I haven't really heard any other praise as to the matter since then." He'll dip his head in a nod towards Thesarin for his compliment, at the very least. "I'm learning Peri. In time for your...mast jumping?"

Peri beams at his mention of the party. "The pond is right over there there," she repeats. "Perfect for swimming lessons. Good weather too."

Mikani looks at Michael, "Are you saying you don't work hard?" She asks curiously. "See I get a massage when I feel like I need a brief break. Then again I swim daily in the ocean ...."

"I remember, Lady Redreef." Thesarin looks back toward Mikani, giving her a low nod. There's a faint hint of a smile on his face, and he lifts his cup in her direction. "We talked on tattoos--not a subject talked much, here. How now?"

"A pleasure, Lady Mikani," she feels she finally has a name for the face in passing now. Looking a bit more at ease she manages to catch what is likely a near staring contest. "Count Riven," the Valardin greets finally speaking up as she offers him a smile and a faint nod of her head. As conversation goes on around her, she lapses into silence for a moment only to step away and see if she can not find a glass of wine or something similar - what with all the cleaning up and removal of food and beverages. Not late? She was definitely late.

"I am kept hard at work most days. At least I am told that I am. I don't consider tasks that I am sitting down for to be very hard work." Michael is shaking his head at Peri, "I have already bathed today. Perhaps the morrow. Or next year."

Lemonade is around, at least. With Rum, because Michael has been ruining rum like this for quite awhile. "Your highness? Could I get you something?"

Peri checked composure at difficulty 15, rolling 20 higher.

Peri frowns. "Swimming is not bathing, I've been told. but," she leans in an sniffs Lord Michael. He smells normal. Maybe she'll lie. "You smell rather strange. Perhaps it's time for another bath?" No, she is totally honest.

Glancing up at the question of whether he can get her a drink causes Marisol to hesitate. "Just wine? If that possible I really think this was bad timing on my part," she admits and gives Micheal a soft smile. "I can not stay long, my lord. In fact I should probably be on my way. Would you mind seeing me out.." Ektor who is her guard looks on with a sort of nonplussed gaze. He's dazed from the constant running around around the Princess seems to be doing the past several days - man could likely be sleeping with how he stares off into the air.
