Donella and company, have set up their simple, but easily expanded supplies for anyone out in the cold with a mind to compete. "Step right up," she calls. "No actual medical experience necessary!"

"What better way to beat the cold than a quick obstacle course to warm your bones," Nadia calls out to the crowds from her station upon a cart bearing medical necessities to be donated to the House of Solace. "Come test your quick wit in our life-saving game!"

Damon was merely passing through, but heard the commotion and... was that a competition he heard? He slid over towards the gathering, "What's all this?" He inquired with a bit of a smile.

Marian steps into the area, a look of wary curiosity on her face. "What sort of obstacle course?" she inquires, stepping toward Donella and Nadia.

Princess Sabella hears the sound of the announcement, and she makes her way up to their booth. She pauses when she sees two others asking questions. She smiles at Donella in a silent greeting. She seems content to listen to the answer.

"Not everyone can afford to put bags of silver into a good cause, yet everyone benefits from the presence of the House of Solace. Duchess Nightgold and I thought that we'd host an amusement so that anyone who wished could contribute. Donations are welcome, but not required... as you can see, we have some donations already to give. But if you wish to play, and want to contribute to the pot in the form of silver, it would not go amiss. I'm matching the pot, and half will go to the winner."

Donella says, "The games all for fun. Unless you're extraordinarily thin-skinned and fragile, there'll be no harm to anyone. That wouldn't be in keeping with the spirit of things."

Natalia sweeps into the area with a self-satisfied look on her features. This means she had to have won at something fairly recently. At the calls from the booth and the people gathered. Her lips curve upwards as she approaches Donella and Nadia. "Darlings..." If allowed (and she can get to them) there will be cheek kissing. "What are we doing here and what is the current pot at?"

Marian nods thoughtfully at the explanation. "I am certainly willing to do my part to contribute and try my hand at the task you've set forth," she tells the hostesses.

Sabella beams with excitement when she hears about the game, "I think I would like to see others participate before I play my hand at it." She embraces Natalia when able to, and kisses her cheek. "Well to see you again cousin."

"For every contestant," Nadia attaches her own announcement in conjecture to Donella gracefully. "I will contribute one thousand silver to support the Knights of Solace and their valiant contributions to sheparding the new converts from across Arvum here to our beautiful Capital." Her head tilts, allowing Natalia's kiss and returning it with a graceful one of her own. "Cousin, so glad you could make it. Will you be participating?" she wonders, a hand raised in delighted reception of Sabella as well. "Sabella, is that you? When did you return to the city?"

"Good evening, Princess. We're at a nice... round figure, just now. Donations aren't compulsory to play, though." She pooches her lip out, and makes sad-Thrax eyes. "Oooh, wait, its 1,000 at the moment. So 2,000 with my match. Its an all at once sort of game, though," she calls to Sabella. "Truly, spectating will be not nearly as much fun."

"Of course, I will play darling.." This is given to Nadia. "I have never missed a chance to try a new thing. Sabella will play too." She hugs her cousin and smiles. "It is good to be seen. As well, if we are bad at this, it is fine. It will give you an understanding for those that are wonderful at it. Or you may find somewhere you should help out if you are good at it." Then she smiles at Donella. "I'll match Nadia's donation. So, for every contestant, I'll put in a thousand silver."

"I'll play as well." Damon says approaching the booth, "Though, I can't exactly dish out a thousand silver, I'm afraid."

Donella says, "With ... I'm sorry, we haven't been introduced. I think I've seen you, though, attendent upon His Grace Edain of Sanctum?" She offers a hand of greeting to Marian. "That's 3,000 you've raised, and 6,000 more for Princesses Natalia and Sabella. Just by being here. What about you, Sir Damon?""

Sabella laughs lightly as Natalia volunteers her to play, "It seems that I will be playing! However, I have no idea how to play...or what skill is involved.. It will be difficult to be strategic otherwise.. But all for the sake of charity and fun.." She smiles warmly, and nods in agreement. "What happens next?"

Donella says, "You needn't. We're dishing it out for you. That's 3,000 more! We're at 12,000, if you simply participate!"

Natalia tips her golden head to study Marian and hear the name. Although, Edain's is a familiar one as she looks over the woman and then back towards the hostess'. A Sabella's comment there is a smile. "I don't either and I'm sure that I do not possess the skills. So be a Grayson darling. If you cannot win, then make sure you lose with flair." Her eyes then move towards Damon a bit and a nod of her head.

Marian considers the math for a moment and then waves a hand. "I will contribute a thousand silver as well," she says. "After all, the cause is a good one."

Says Donella with a smile upon her lips, and a puff of breath before her face, she says, "Is there anyone else to play? Otherwise, if competitors would line up right here..." she says gesturing to a line parallel with her position, facing the fake-battlefield before the House of Solace, "Oooh. Thank you, my lady. That is most generous. The pot is 14,000 silver. Now we're getting to the kicking around money. Excellent. Lets begin."

"I am a Grayson in every circumstance, sweet cousin," Sabella grins. She then looks toward their hostess to see what happens next. She then moves in the line, and settles beside her cousin in the line up. She loudly whispers to Natalia, "Pardon me if my competitive spirit becomes a tad aggressive. I aim to win."

Nadia raises her hands in graceful applause at the generous donations of the contestants. "This is amounting to be quite the donation tonight," she vocalizes her ebullient delight with a vibrant laugh, a weighted purse of silver placed delicately upon the top of her sizeable commission to be gifted to the House of Solace, her eyes sliding back to Sabella and Natalia. "Make me proud, Sabella and Natalia!" she favors them both with familial warmth, eyes bright as she then turns her cheers toward the rest of the contestants. "Good luck to you all! Remember, it's about enjoying yourselves tonight! Do it with style!"

Marian inclines her head to Donella. "Princess Marian Valardin, Sword of Sanctum," she introduces herself. "I am still acquainting myself with those of note here. Forgive my lack of introduction."

Natalia offers her hand towards Marian. "Princess Natalia Grayson, it is good to meet you." Then she waits to hear the directions. Then she smiles towards Nadia. "I will attempt to lose with dignity." Then a stage whisper to Sabella, "If you excuse my tripping you."

Donella says, "I am grateful to meet you. Donella Thrax of Maelstrom." And then she winds up for the pitch..."

Marian offers Natalia a half smile, taking the offered hand in greeting, as she does with Donella. "A pleasure to meet you. I thank you for your kind invitatiion to take tea. We shall have to do so soon.

"A great battle is being fought!" Donella tells them. She glances sideways as her guards and helpers, who proceed to make ambient noise to the effect, beating their sheathed weapons on the cart, and making occasional hammy swoon noises. "Horrible. Horrible. A senseless, tragic waste. Warriors of every tribe and creed lay suffering, as the fight is waged. Fortunately for them, YOU are there to give succor. To save them. Of course, the enemy doesn't care about your mission of mercy," ha ha, see what she did there? "-and so they are going to be trying to drop you amongst your fallen comrades, out there." A few long suffering pages dodge out to the far side of the square and obligingly lay down, as they are peppered with snowballs. There are bails of hay to get around, there are cross looking horses... there is the odd discarded boot that may have nothing to do with the excercise. Some icy puddles, too, between the "patients" and the "medics". And each contestant has a wheelbarrow, and a little satchel. "Are you all with me, so far?

Damon nods, "So far."

"When the Duchess says so, you are going to make your way, as fast as you can, across the field. Avoiding the snowballs. If you are struck twice in the course of play, you're out!"
(OOC: Check your best of Str/Dex/Sta/Luck + Dodge, and then pose accordingly. You can page Donella wih questions.)

Natalia checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 7, 8 lower than the difficulty.

Marian checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 18, 3 higher than the difficulty.

Princess Sabella introduces herself to Marian, "A pleasure to meet you, Your Highness." She laughs lightly when she hears Natalia. "We shall see." She then takes in the information, and she nods, "Ohh...I think I have some skill in that!"

Damon checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 20, 5 higher than the difficulty.

And off they are. Natalia looks at her slippers and the snow. She looks at the people throwing the snowballs and then her shoes. She keeps coming back to those pretty, pretty shoes. Then she takes off at a run. THe best thing about this? Natalia is faster than one would expect, she just soars right onto the field and across it. The bad thing? She's looking like she's trying to fly and not getting off the ground. This is mainly because her speed is born of ice that she's sliding across. One snowball hits her. She's almost out and then our delightful princess of popular fashion slams right into one of the hay stacks. "By the Gods...." There is some swearing there under her breath before she straightens out her hair and crawls behind that slammed into hay stack. A moment and then she offers. "I am not yet dead! I have to fight another day. You may hit me with you snowballs, but I will arise stronger for Grayson..." Then there is a bit of laughter.

Sabella checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 18, 3 higher than the difficulty.

Nadia raises her hand to her mouth, shielding the sound of her tinkling laughter as Natalia is brought to a forceful halt by an errant hay stack. "Now, who stuck that random hay stack in the middle of the battle field?" She calls out in good humor. "As graceful as Princess Natalia is, it seems that she's crashed and burned! There will be no flights from her today!"

Marian looks determined as the signal is given and she starts to move her way across the field, dodging snowballs as best she can. She seems to be having some success for now, moving smoothly between hits and ducking under from time to time.

Princess Sabella is not as fast, however she is quite flexible. She moves in a zig zag fashion, attempting to not be an easy target. She hops over icy puddles and ducks just before a snowball can hit her. She laughs in triumph!

Damon shoots off! Zipping across the field, occasionally leaping behind a bail of hay and doing a sick combat roll before continuing onward until he reaches the end of the field.

Donella ducks her head as the snowballs go flying, and looks visibly taken aback at the collision midfield. "Oooooh," she says. "Look at the technique, Nadia. All the back and forth, an the rolly parts!"

Nadia raises her hands to shield her hooded head from an errant snowball that sails high over the judges' head, her laughter ringing through the brightly lit square. "Look at them go," she cries out, pointing to Damon as he manages to combat roll across the snows to avoid being pelted with balls. "Lord Damon is making progress with such style, Princess Sabella and Marian too!"

Damon may even have time to wink to the crowd as he's making his way across the battlefield!

"You've arrived amongst the wounded." Donella intones seriously. The men playing dead for them make a show of moaning upon the ground in patches of wine must. "But you can't move your man until you've STABILIZED them. You'll need to figure out what their particular misery is, and then get them tourniqueted, or may fate forbid it! amputated!" The wounded men look at Donella askance. This was not what they discussed. There is going to be some fight in those men. "Relax, its only the slowest to accomplish the task that has to make a show of it, somehow. Fix those boo-boos, soldiers!" (OOC: perception/luck/dexterity + medicine)

Natalia checked perception + medicine against difficulty 15, resulting in 20, 5 higher than the difficulty.

Damon checked dexterity + medicine against difficulty 15, resulting in 23, 8 higher than the difficulty.

Marian checked dexterity + medicine against difficulty 15, resulting in 17, 2 higher than the difficulty.

Natalia finds her man! Of course, she pauses to write her name in the snow like a signature. Then when she gets there, she seems more interested in the 'blood'. In fact, Natalia pauses there to make a snowball of wine slush and chomp on it a bit. That's right, she's found a way to drink on the job. Her eyes move over the man playing wounded. "Hmmm... I think we are going to have to amutate. I'm going to need your knife." She holds the melting wine ball that she drink/eats in one hand and tries to convince the man to give her his knife. He's telling her no. She's telling him that she's the doctor and knows better. He says she's been drinking. She says does he want to get saved or not. He says he's attached to his arm. She offers to take a leg. He says he's attached to that too. She rebuttals not for long. Then she makes another wineball. He tells her he feels like going for a walk. He feels happy. Natalia looks around at the others and then back at her man and then at the others and punches him in the shoulder. "He has a broken shoulder. I have assessed it!" He murmurs how that hurt. She calls him a whimp. However, he is assesses and stablized. All is well that ends well.%f

Damon isn't exactly a field medic, so he does his best, keeping his man as still as possible while he bandages and wraps him. The steeled determined look on his face is so serious it's almost adorable. He manages to wrap, bandage and splint the fellow.. well enough.

Marian kneels down next to her 'soldier' and inspects his 'wounds' for a moment. She shrugs a little as she prods at him thoughtfully, and perhaps a little more forcefully than strictly necessary, judging from the startled yelps that emerge from the man now and again. Finally she just starts wrapping up 'wounds' until she's satisfied that he's transportable.

Sabella checked perception + medicine against difficulty 15, resulting in 14, 1 lower than the difficulty.

Although Sabella manages to get to the wounded, she lacks in being able to care for them. She attempts to banadage them, but the fabric is too twisted to really help cover the wound. She then says, "Uhh...I think he has Malaria...? He needs leeches for the consumption!" She attempts to use her acting ability, although she has no idea what she's talking about.

Nadia leans back upon her palms, lips curled in helpless amusement as she watches Natalia sign her name in the snows. "Princess Natalia certainly knows how to leave her namesake wherever she goes," she quips in commentary to Donella and those watching, smothering a soft laugh. "Good job, Natalia! Now what will you do?" she calls back, her eyes drifting toward Sabella to watch her brilliantly, but wrongly, deduce her patient-victim's maladies. "Good, ah, work..." She dissolves into soft titters, smothering it behind her palm.

Nadia points a finger toward Marian and Damon soon afterward, highlighting their skill with safely binding the wounds of their psuedo-victims of the battle field. "Oh, look at Lord Damon and Princess Marian! I think they might be taking lead in this stage."

Joscelin, in the woolen, beautiful garments made and given by Natalia Grayson herself, approaches the 'field' of 'battle', drawn by the promise of laughter. Her short, gravity-defying curls halo around her head, the sable tresses so black as to be almost blue, her gold eyes peering at the antics with curiosity and interest.

"That's a proper lord of the City of Mercy, there. The patient is bound so securely, he may never escape your best efforts to improve him. Lady Marian, I am not sure you need to tenderize him, quite yet..."

Donella cries, "Oh no! Despite your tenderest mercies, and your blood-sucking swamp-worms, your fallen comrade has passed out in extremis." Cue four men making comical grunts and becoming as limp as... well, limp. "You know that if you remain there, you will be struck, and both of you will expire in the mire. So you locate a nearby CART," They get wheelbarrows. Sorry, sorry wheelbarrows. "And use every skill at your disposal to get them in it. Enlist the help of your fellow soldier, somehow, if you must!" (OOC: Thats an invitation to use whatever stat and skill combo you like, so long as your pose justifies the result.)

Natalia checked wits + diplomacy against difficulty 15, resulting in 37, 22 higher than the difficulty.

Damon checked dexterity + medium wpn against difficulty 15, resulting in 25, 10 higher than the difficulty.

Sabella checked command + manipulation against difficulty 15, resulting in 39, 24 higher than the difficulty.

Damon went over to the edge of the cordoned off area and pulled stake out of the ground that sectioned off the 'battleground'. Then he tipped his wheelbarrow up on it's nose then more or less used the stake to leverage the unconscious man into the wheelbarrow to allow him to scoop him up far more easier.

Marian checked dexterity + medium wpn against difficulty 15, resulting in 65, 50 higher than the difficulty.

Princess Sabella watches the soldier become limp. She then begins whispering into his ear. Only bits and pieces can be heard, "If you don't........then......spider monkey.........kiss.......armpit.......best....ever....life.." Whatever she has whispered into the soldier's ear, he's standing up and racing into that wheelbarrow as if his very life depended on it.

They have to what?! Natalia looks at the man who is now a smirking limp rag of man meat on the ground beside her. Then she looks over towards the 'cart'. Then she looks back towards the man. It would be dangerous to rush over and get the cart but it would be worse to get him over there. So one hand links around the 'wounded's' foot and she draaaags him towards the 'cart'. Sure, his head hits the ground a time or two. He mutters an out and to be careful. She tells him passed out people are silent people. He goes even more slack to try and get her hit by snowballs. She takes off his boot and throws it with the other discarded one. He heeeys at her. She asks if they want to play the Abandoned game because she's feeling like switching sides. He shuts up. Of course, there are those between her and the 'cart'. So drag... drag. She can all but hear the men preparing to throw. So she does what any proper princess would do. She flashes them. That's right, boobs for boo-boos. It happens just like that. Bared and all. Which of course no man in his right mind is going to throw snowballs at her like that. When they get to the 'cart'. She kicks the 'wounded' with her foot. "Get in." To which he complys while complaining about her.

Marian glances over at the wheelbarrow, down at the man, and then back at the wheelbarrow. "Couldn't I just throw you over my shoulder and carry you out of here?" she mutters. The man in question continues to lie on the ground, though he does look a bit worried. She reaches for one of her short swords and then shakes her head, glancing around on the ground. She finds a pair of likely looking sticks and places the wheelbarrow next to her victim, forming a bit of a ramp with them, and then prodding the man with a tow, she pushes him up along the sticks, and rolls him, dumping him in rather unceremoniously. She eyes him for a moment and then sighs and moves to arrange him more comfortably.

Dante arrives on the scene to see what the commotion is about, the armor he wears clanging softly with each of his long, practiced strides and one hand resting easily on the hilt of his blade. His bright-eyed gaze sweeps over the area, brows rising as he takes in the surrounding area. He offers a smile and a slight nod to the various familiar faces, staying on the peripheries for the time being.

Donella saw absolutely nothing. Nothing whatever. Something must have been in her eye. Oh, hey! Look at that! Its a fulcrum! Donella glances to Nadia, as though she hasn't got a clue to score extortion, and other forms of mayhem... all that, until someone uses ANOTHER simple machine, an inclined plane. Which is, thank the gods, nothing at all like breasts. Oooooooooh. Be impressed, mere mortals! "Ahem... lets, er... just get them back to base, shall we. Just like before, under fire... only, bring the wounded, would you?"

"It looks as though Princess Natalia is no stranger to dishing out a little, ah, tough love to ensure her charge survives the battle field in," Nadia the Golden Commentator struggles for words, cheeks tinged pink with soft laughter as she observes the princess' shameless antics to ensure her survival in the mock-war. "A true survivor, she is." Her mossy green gaze flickers toward Marian as she displays her phenomenal quick witt and resourcefulness in seeing her man arranged into the barrel. "Look at Princess Marian go! In times of war and calamity, there is no time for coddling and bedside manner. It is life or death, and the Sword of Sanctum has not forgotten that!" Sabella and Damon are observed in another moment, the pair receiving zesty applause from the duchess. "And, of course, the Lord Damon Wyrmguard and Princess Sabella Grayson are doing well! Who's going to get their men across the battlefield and to safety first?"

Quiet observation for Joscelin has turned into muffled giggles into gloved hands, her eyes crinkling with laughter. So much for being unnoticed.

Natalia checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 10, 5 lower than the difficulty.

(OOC: Str/Dex/Sta/Luck + Dodge, in case I was unclear. It happens.)

Sabella checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 20, 5 higher than the difficulty.

Joscelin cups her hands around her mouth and cheers Natalia on. "DON'T FREEZE YOUR NIPPLES OFF, PRINCESS!"

Princess Sabella grabs the handles of the wheelbarrow, lifts it and rushes to the right place as quickly as she can. She pants in her exertion. And it appears that her player must bow out, but one can assume that she does subpar from here on out, or completes with all should this be the end of challenges.

Marian checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 16, 1 higher than the difficulty.

And it is time to get the man out of there. That's right. They run and she pushes. However, he is dragging his hand on the ground and slowing her down. There's a mutter between them. She's asking if he wants her to get hit. He's saying yes. She thunks him on the head. He drags his feet.. literally. She tells him to knock it off. He runs his hand on the ground. Believe it or not they get across. Everyone is safe and then... it... happens.

The soldier now a little over being rescued by a booze drinking 'medic' who flashed to save his life and then threw his boot. Then insulted him shows the upper hand. He has a perfectly formed snowball. Now, Natalia did pause to cover back up her 'love pillows'. However, the 'wounded' has recovered due to her amazing bedside manner. He takes that snowball and crushes it into her chest to kill the Princess dead. Natalia gasps at the outrage of dealing with a turncoat or something. She dramatically puts a hand to her heart and falls back on the ground. "I... I have been crossed. I am dead.. wounded... I shall be no more. I am a shell of the human I was taking up my rightful place with the Gods." Really the speech is a good fifteen minutes long. As she 'dies' the 'wounded' just walks off in a huff to get his boot back.

Joscelin shakes her fist! "BOOOOOOO! TRAITOR!" she shouts.

Damon checked dexterity + dodge against difficulty 15, resulting in 10, 5 lower than the difficulty.

Marian doesn't do much in the way of fancy footwork this time around. She just grabs the handles of the wheelbarrow and shoves, dashing in a straight line. She does pause now and then to duck down and use the wheelbarrow (and perhaps its occupant) to shield her from flying snowballs, but she makes good time back toward safety.

Alas, poor Damon, for we knew him well. Despite being a champion up to this point, the extra weight to his barrow opened him up to be utterly perforated by snowballs. Like that scene from Platoon. It's a massacre.

     "FOUL! That was a foul!"

"Age and treachery overcome youth and kill, every time," eulogizes the hostess, Donella, sadly. "Them's the breaks. Such brave, brave medics-- venturing into danger, for the greatest of causes. One competitor fallen! and another, run away in battle madness. One, gravely wounded. Only one challenge remains for you, our two remnant heroes before you can rest, knowing that you performed with uncommon valor!" Donella swirls a glass of warm wine. "Revive the patient."

(OOC: This is RP only. Impress Nadia, make it memorable for bonus points!)

Viktarkim comes from the east and has a grey cloak on over his usual forest leathers. The tattooed and scarified Prodigal Shav'arvani has no idea what he's about to walk into. The man is going on about his own business when the sounds of voices up ahead draw his dark eyes up from his own thoughts. The archer's long stride slows as he takes in those who have gathered for whatever is going on here. A healing gash mars the left side of his jaw with a bruise that might be glimpsed on the same side of his neck - but this time he's not limping.

Donella says, "14,000 silver, for the pot, is on the line!, half of it for the House of Solace. Please give all our participants a sign of your appreciation. And if you wish, give whatever you feel the spectacle has deserved! As I observed before, Duchess Nightgold and I devised this entertainment, because not everyone can give bags of silver, yet most everyone can do something. Everyone deserves to feel that they've had the opportunity to support a cause they believe in.""

Joscelin is damn near doubled over with laughter near one of the many tents pitched in the beautiful park, her cheeks pink and her eyes alight. Her woolen cloak has its hood pushed back, curls going everywhere as she tries to applaud or something.

Natalia is /Still/ dying. The longest monologue in Arx is happening right over there. "I would have liked to have had children. Tell the man I love that I love him. Tell my family that I died in their honor. Tell the people that they may erect statues and shrines to me." She lays back on the ground. When her 'wounded' comes back by her, she grabs his leg. "You killed me.... get me blood." This of course leads to the man going off to get her wine and bring it back. She hears the last one and peers at who's left. "Kiss him, Lord Damon!" There is a pause. Yeah, she's supposed to be dead. "It's my dying wish.."

Marian skids over the line to safety and tilts the wheelbarrow, dumping its occupant out onto the ground. She looms over her patient ominously before dropping to her knees at his side. She makes a show of checking to see if he is breathing, putting her cheek close to his mouth and nose to feel for moving air. The man opens one eye to peek at her, not sure if he should hold his breath or assure her that he is, indeed, still alive. She lifts her head and cries out dramatically "You are not permitted to die!" She raises one hand, making a fist, and the man stops his pretense of unconsciousness, eyes widening with fear. "Don't..." he starts to ask of her, but it's too late, her fist coming down and thumping him soundly on the chest. She does draw back a little at the last moment to keep from really injuring him, but that's sure to leave a mark in the morning. The breath leaves him with a loud "oof!" and he struggles to sit up. She helps him do so, looking triumphant. "I appreciate your following orders, soldier," she says, patting him on the shoulder.

Joscelin presses her hand to her mouth as Marian gives the soldier the Fist of Life.

Dante looks rather amused himself, having stopped to watch the spectacle as it unfolds. He wears a wide grin on his bronzed face, his mail-clad hands coming together in light applause from time to time. As Marian thumps her patient on the chest he laughs aloud, shaking his head from side to side.

What in the Seven Hells is going on here? Wheel barrows, wine spilled like blood in the snow, Princess Natalia floundering on the ground like an overly dramatic play actress? Or is she drunk? Viktarkim has come up to the edge where others are gathered to spectate, using the advantage of the Prodigal's height that he can see over a number of their heads. Still, he has to seek a good place for a decent view all the same. People seem to be laughing it up pretty well. Clearly he's been missing out.

Damon stands over his patient and regards him carefully for a few moments. Then he narrows his eyes, leaning forward to examine, and develop a prognosis. Then without hesitation, the Knight of Scrolls slaps the unconscious man back to life, "Welcome back, soldier!"

Natalia says, "BOOOO! Kiss him!"

Donella is in the midst of bedlam, looking very pleased with herself and with Nadia for their instigation, and with Natalia, Damon, Sabella, and Marian, for their enthusiastic embrace of mayhem. She claps her hands together, having set down her warm, mulled wine, and stands herself up upon the supply cart. "Ooooh, the slap of sensibility. People of Arx, Princess Marian Valardin, Sword of Sanctum, has just won 7,000 pieces of silver, with 7,000 more to be given as a product of today's revels to the House of Solace, to aid all the ill and wounded of our city in the months to come."

Laughing so hard she can barely breathe, Joscelin ducks into a tent and comes out with a few towels and some blankets, approaches the line nearest to Natalia's fallen 'body'. Joscelin looks for the one in charge of this 'event', and asks Donella, "Permission to remove the body, my lady-Princess?" The pretty, plump jeweler can't stop smiling, her cheeks pink, her eyes merry.

Donella says, "The corpse deserves due honors..."

Donella is overheard praising Marian.

Natalia has wine, she's all good. Her lips curve upwards at Jos when she approaches. "I fear that I am not suited for war. Right now Thraxians are crossing me off their marriage list. Or they are adding me back on and knowing I shall stick to matters or state and not war." Thee is a smile sa she will try to get to her feet, not spilling the wine.

Donella is overheard praising Damon.

Donella is overheard praising Natalia.

Giggling like a little girl, Joscelin tries not to slip as she skids across ice and snow. She reaches for Natalia's wine glass and offers a towel in trade on the promise she'll give back the wine. "You have -snow- down your -chest-, Natalia!" she laughs breathlessly.

Marian looks a bit startled as she is announced the winner. "I do not think I will ever make a proper medic," she says. "I'm more suited to fighting myself. But I thank you for the opportunity to test my skills for a good cause," she says, inclining her head respectfully to Donella, that half smile tugging at her lips again.

     Joscelin offers towels to everyone.

Marian is overheard praising Donella.

Marian is overheard praising Nadia.

Natalia is on her feet and does shake snow out of her dress as she towels off. The woman's smile is in full effect as she walks over towards Donella and Nadia. "I would say that the event was fun, but now I should find a dashing man to order me a bath and warm me up." She doesn't seem in a rush to leave yet.

Damon is eager to take a towel, as he's covered in a fine coat of both sweat and snow.

Joscelin offers a towel to Marian, smiling.

Donella takes on to sponge a little of the snow off her shoulder, where a stray "round" bounced off hamburger hill. "Thank you, Mistress Arterius. How thoughtful! Oh, poor Sir Damon... Can you make sure he can feel his extremities, what with all those snowballs?" She turns to tuck herself into a neat and appreciative acknowledgment towards their spectators. She says to Natalia, "I think they're all running away now, seeing how you dashed at least one of them... That was teh best thing I've seen today!"

Marian takes the offered towel with a gracious nod, using it to good effect. "Thank you," she murmurs, as she checks over her armor to make sure all is in order before she departs.
