I arrive in Arx and Jasper has gone missing. Most likely, returned to Highhill for whatever reason. The hounds have been restless, what with the noise of the ongoing renovation disturbing them.
Overall, however, despite the inconveniences of needing to renovate the family estate, this move has felt almost liberating for me.

Is the rum for you, or for Ivy? I've had a number of healers tell me rubbing liquor on the gums of a teething child soothes them. Personally I've found that slicing the ginger and rubbing it along the gums works very well and the crying usually stops quickly. Spring onions also work to deaden the pain, but I warn you that the breath of your child after might fell an ox.

Thrax rum should never, ever, be dismissed or made fun of. It can make a wailing banshee stop her keening and finally allow some blessed sleep, or whatever else people do in their bedchambers but cannot when the walls are echoing and reverberating with the death wail of a teething child. Though such things does tend to lead to more wailing banshees...
