Thankfully you never had to worry about alopecia
An honor it was to stand in support
Until I could feel the semblance of life fade

Relationship Note on Belladonna
Belladonna was my sister-in-law. More than that she was a mentor and a friend as I took on the mantle my sister left me.
Then Cassius was slain, and she became bitter. She lashed out at me in her journal once and I let it go. Times were troubling. This would pass, and we'd be as we were again.
Now, she has lashed out similarly at my cousin and I am left dumbstruck. How could someone I thought I knew, that I trusted, change so much? The Belladonna I knew would never have acted like this.

Dame Ida, you have always held a warm place in my heart, though we rarely get to see each other socially. It was you that crafted my bow when my old one was lost on my travels to Arx. It was you who created the beautiful knife I wield. It is you I have often gone to with some vague idea about what I would like to give as a gift to someone that you run with and create the most perfect, most amazing piece of metal artistry that I am so proud to give to those I love or care for.

This past week has been an agreeable one even if I do miss Grihem's Point so dearly.
I would like to thank everyone who came to share a wonderful evening with my family at Valdemar and Vanora's wedding feast. I've met so many friendly new faces and I even became acquainted with a brilliant man with interests matching my own.
It was also a week of interesting, but not unpleasant surprises.

Relationship Note on Bliss
First official duel has been completed. It did not go at all as I was expecting after the trouncing Mistress Bliss gave me in the recent tournament. I've actually been dreading the duel all week, expecting a repeat.
In a reversal of my usual bad luck.. which led to her winning before with myself knocked unconscious, I missed several times in a row and then stuck a lucky blow that did far more wounding than intended, but I won! Just wanted this in the books, in case my bad luck returns and it never happens again.
Bliss is an incredible fighter and I know this was more luck than skill on my part, but I'm going to keep training and one day, I'll win because I'm better.

I thank all those who accompanied me on my little trip. Korka Glynn has eyes on her that could pick a shadow out of the night. She saw what none else of us did, and I thank her very much for her sharp eyes! Bliss Whisper was Bliss Whisper. And, if anyone has any doubt about the Nox'alfar liking her /that/ much. I assure you. It's super real. Lord Niklas spoke fluidly and was charming in spite of some not so charming folks. With the help of Princess Caith they were able to combine into a bright star of searing hot charm.
No one died, so that's just great. The job isn't done of course, I imagine that's a ways off, but it was a strong first step. And I thank you all for supporting me in it.

The First Captain stunned me today by announcing my promotion to Knight-Lieutenant. This is an honor beyond words.

Whenever I heard about people signing things in blood, I always assumed it was blood mixed with ink or something along those lines. It's a little more difficult when it's freshly flowing, though it does feel smooth on the paper when you use it.

I saw something that might help for when next you're feeling upset. I'll pick it up on the way home. It's not a maul, sadly. Although I did see the most fabulous one and was tempted to buy it, despite not being able to swing it, or lift it for that matter. I guess I could drag it behind me, menacingly.
As for lying, my father taught me that everyone lies, to others and especially to themselves to varying degrees. Being young and wanting firsthand proof of his assertion, I had to test it myself but it proved more right than wrong, I have to admit. Most lies are born of frailty and sometimes kindness, where certain omissions and social niceties are concerned, while a dangerous few are truly malicious. Those you need to guard against most, but even the more innocent ones can slowly build up and cause damage, just as rust weakens iron if left unchecked for too long.
Discovering you've been lied to is never a great experience and often stings, even if the liar thought their intentions good or their reasons for doing so valid. Some people are easily forgiven and should be, while others are so dishonest about their own desires and lacking in good character that it may well be pointless to do so. Vipers can't help but bite, it's their nature.

Relationship Note on Victus
Being a parent is probably one of my most rewarding of jobs. Like you, I tend to be hands on with the twins and Nia. Although, I am finding that juggling two babies at once isn't the easiest thing. My laundress makes a few rounds throughout the day now so my clothes get tended to right away rather than sitting. That smell...it's worse than dried blood or rot. You can't get rid of it if the stain sets.
