Relationship Note on Amund
It was with a sadness in my heart that I learned of Sir Amund Monrosa's death. We had struck up a friendship of sorts, though perhaps it was more a mentor/pupil relationship. I'm sure he despaired of my lack of skill with a blade, but his patience was admirable. It's fitting that he died a hero's death, I don't think he'd have wanted it any other way. I'll visit each of the shrines this coming week and offer prayers to the gods in the hopes that we won't have to wait too long for the return of his soul.

A lovely afternoon was spent in the company of Lady Medeia Saik, and I say now that the lemonade she served was the most delicious I've had the good fortune to enjoy. Was it the judicious use of honey to balance the sharpness of the fruit that elevated it to perfection, or the delicate touch of lemon balm that lingered on the tongue.
I shall have to press her for the recipe so I might send it to Clover before the summer fades.

Summer is almost spent, and in the meadow where I like to sit and write the dandelion suns have turned into moons.
How might dandelion wine taste? Summer on the tongue, perhaps? Caught and bottled, sealed away for opening on a freezing winter's night when the snow falls from leaden skies and when the sun has been unseen for weeks.

I have come to grinding halt with my research and cannot find anything further. Whilst the scholars of the Great Archive have been so terribly helpful, even they are admitting defeat. Perhaps it's time to tackle this from a different angle. It's frustrating as I feel so close, yet remain so far.

Along with the correspondence on my desk this morning was a beautifully wrapped gift. I do so love gifts, most especially the unexpected ones. The layers of wrappings were quickly dispatched to reveal a starlight silk fan that glittered with the adornment of gems. A note enclosed revealed the sender to be Lady Mabelle Laurent whom is fast becoming a friend. The most surprising thing about it all however is that the fan was crafted by Dame Ida Ferron. I can quite see how such a thing of beauty could be an effective weapon in the right hands, so shall start with attempting to decapitate a candle by swishing and swooping it around.

I haven't laughed so hard in a very long time. I laud everyone that strapped a sting to their behinds and competed in the bee fencing last night, tears rolled down my face.

Hello Arx, how long has it been?
Though I live and breathe Westrock Reach, I'm so terribly happy to be back in the city once again. Already I have made so many wonderful connections and discovered along the way a Lycene lord who is as fond of coffee as am I.
And Lady Mabelle! What can I way of her? I am determined that she and I will be the very best of friends! I am to co-host her in the Annual Honey Festival, the arrangements for which are even now well underway. I do hope that the seamstresses of Arx have plenty of gold and black silk to hand, for there will be the most wonderful of prizes for the best bee outfit of the day. Should I mention that there will be a sting in the tail on the day?

It has been wonderful to be back at Arx, soo much has changed and I am enjoying meeting new friends and reconnecting with those I know.
