I have never thought that it's so absolutely hard to find an alchemist and a person talented with animals as proteges.
I have been looking for them over a couple of weeks now and it seems everybody has someone already.
Sometimes I simply want to go back home.
Arx is just too large of a city. One can feel overwhelmed and left behind. It's like you have to be awake whole day and whole night because someone will steal something just from under your nose if you will close your eyes.

I have spoken to the Prince Ainsley regarding the children he has saved before.
Finally, we made the necessary arrangements and my husband and I have fostered two wonderful children.
It seems they can not be separated even if they are not siblings. A girl of eight years old and a wild boy of 5 years old. It's going to be an amazing adventure to get to know those kids and help them develop their skills and establish a stable and loving life to them!

I have paid a visit to Lord Fredrik Redtyde. He strikes me as a very rational man with high etiquette and a kind heart. I admire his devotion to his family and knowledge. One should have seen my eyes when the man brought all those books about economics!..
He said I can take my time reading on them. I was never too interested into numbers, but once I started... a book after book... NUMBERS CAN BE INTERESTING!
I actually understand the value of knowing the art of economics now. I guess It's easy when one has a very good tutor. One more book is remaining. I will finish it and then pay a second visit to Lord Fredrik Redtyde. Maybe I will be able to meet his daughter this time.

I finally came back to my daily routine. Though, I must say that I was shocked seeing that pile of papers on my table.
It seems that the time has not been stopped while I was on a small mother's vacation. Now I realize that I need a couple of spare hands to do all what has to be done. That is why I have decided to find a couple of proteges for myself and my house.
* I need a person who is capable in handling various matters regarding animals.
* I need a passionate alchemist.
To be honest, I do not mind to support young talents. Once I was young and pretty new to my own passions. I needed time and support to grow. So, I seek more of a passion thank high talent, and I would be happy to assist those people in growing their skills.
I myself should also improve my abilities in negotiating in a more political level. Diplomacy should become my strong skill if I want to be helpful to my husband. I should find a professional tutor.

That's decided.
I need to hire a Nanny to my little Caprice. She can not grow up as a girl who hides behind her mother's skirt for the rest of her life.
I love her and it will be very difficult since I spent a year closely keeping my eye on Caprice, but she is already a big girl. She is over a year!
I also need to go back to my works...

To my personal surprise, I decided to adopt a child.
I have heard that someone of Graysons rescued a couple of children and they need new home.
I would like to open my door and my heart to at least one of them.
I already am trying to contact necessary parties, even if I haven't spoken about it with my husband.
Tarrant is absolutely great. I am pretty sure that he will not object. Though, I did avoid approaching the subject eye to eye and I have sent him a message instead.
I feel mildly anxious about his upcoming answer even if I am sure it should be fine.

I did not have anything to wear today. All my dresses appear to be too old and maybe even out of fashion. Some of my dresses simply bore me.
I thought about buying some new dresses but then I thought about how much money I would have to spend.
The amount did not please me and quickly I threw my idea out.
I should give more attention to myself and how I look. However, I always can find a thousand better ways to use resources...

Caprice was playing with some other children today. The girl cried more than once when they touched her toys.
It seems that Caprice is not willing to share. She also tried to hit one boy when he refused to give her his own little wooden horse.
She was very demanding and whimsical. At some point, I believe it's my fault. I have been giving her too much attention, and I've never refused her desires before. Though, she has been spending very little time with other children...
However, I believe that the best cure from not growing a child as a spoiled narcissist is to have a large family. I should speak to my husband about that.

"There once was a little boy who wanted to know everything. He was insatiably curious. From the moment he was born, he seemed to want to know every detail of the world around him..." I started to read to my little Caprice. "A Boy and His Spider: A Bedtime Story" was my favorite tale. I feel that my daughter also loves it. She laughed, giggled, I can swear she even snorted while chuckling. She really enjoyed the book. Or maybe she knew it's my favorite. So, she wanted to make me happy. I can see it in her eyes, I can see how clever she is. But also I see a lot of curiosity shimmering in her gaze. Maybe she just understood that the book was also about her...
Though, she fell asleep in the middle of the story. I will have to finish tomorrow.
